since they talk for months before debut in the discord
Is this confirmed true for Hololive? If it is then I find the collabs of both gens quite staggering.

I mean, believe it or not, I love Calli and Ina and still maintain a sub to them, but all of their group collabs were immensely disjointed and awkward. I watched the first ever Council collab as part of that relay and was bored to tears, and people in this thread that are very vocal fans of Hololive still call Council collabs boring and difficult to watch.

All in all, though, it doesn't really matter. I think people look at the segregation through tunnel vision. It's not that easy, and there's lots of indirect factors that compound the issue the more you think about it.

People are just angry at the fact that she seems to be wasting a golden oportunity. Same thing happened to Sana when she took a break a month into her career and number-wise it has crippled her channel.

Not quite tit for tat.

If you check SanaCam-001 here, you can see that, even in a branch who has almost unilaterally suffered their worst ever months in terms of growth, Sana is something else. She has gained only 9K subs in the last month.

Ayame is different because Gen 2 were not projected to be soaring the way they are now when they debuted. In fact, Ayame's last 5 months or so of doing basically fuck all has failed to fall below the ceiling of her growth during the first year or so of activity.

In other words, one has taken a spot in the hotly-anticipated EN2 and tanked her momentum, whilst the other is still to this day doing better doing nothing than she was when she started out — essentially riding the wave of her success.

It's not something Sana can't recover from, though. Here is Pomu's monthly sub growth, who took a month off until mid-August to recover from surgery, and struggled in the following months to regain momentum. Channels DO heal and recover with enough work ethic.

Penny for Kiara's thoughts, though, as a completely MIA Sana almost matched her sub growth last month (10K).

I don't see why some people here dislike Nina, I've been enjoying her interactions with others and lifting newcomers who come in.

That have been discussed many times just a few pages ago. Long story short: her roomate was a SJW.

Nijisanji Rejects? Nijisanji Rejects.
Cover yet again following in Anycolor's shadow.
Cover doesn't even support Holostars.
Cover panicked when they saw Anycolor sponging up all the male talent money so they hit the gas to try and catch up to Anycolor's acceleration.

Some of the applicants will be Niji rejects, yes, but so what? Do we think that the Venn diagram of penis-having Niji applicants with potential and penis-havers that Niji picked is a perfect circle? At any rate I do think there will also be plenty of new applicants due to the perception of Hololive as the more prestigious brand in the EN community. And what is Cover supposed to do; leave all the money that NijiEN is making with their men on the table? I imagine there's some degree of scrambling behind the scenes to get them a piece of that pie. I'm curious about how this turns out.

As for Pippa's birthday stream yesterday, we did manage to get her over 500 on the normal view counter yesterday, while at the same time a poll she ran in the chat got over 1000 responses. Uh, Susan? What's more, she probably got bonked for swearing in Japanese during Apex to the point where Iori muted her on her stream. Bullying successful.

JL7ten donated three superchats of $333.33 to her, solidifying his position as apex rabbit simp. Hope you paid your rent first, dude.

I get the distinct feeling that Sana just doesn't care. I think she got the idea to even apply from her best buddy Ina, and now that she got in, she's like "yeah, okay...I'm in" and that's it. Takes a month off to mourn a pet, craters her subs, still doesn't seem too broken up about it even after YouTube has repeatedly hamstrung her account. Supposedly she is an amazing artist on par with Ina, but I'll be damned if I can recall her ever showing her true power level like Ina does with her art streams. She could recover, I just get the feeling she either doesn't want to put in the effort, or it's a side hustle to her and she's simply too busy with a real job.

Look at our boi Nolan making an informative post and even archives to shit on some low level cow. Unironically good job.

Soon he will grow up and exclusively watch hag content like a real man.
The Nolan arc has really been something, it something quite fasnating watching he from when his first post here till now. 1 or 2 more seasons and maybe he be more of a chad than all of us.

I'm quite optimistic about Holostar EN, I'm sure YAGOO still got some magic talent dust still in his bag, and gonna find these absolute who's and give them the chance they always wanted. Aslong as we get a pair of gamer bros or something along them lines that would be pretty great. Nothing like some bants between lads now.

Like others, I noticed that it is listed as "hololive English" and not "holostars English" even though they are specifically targeting males, so I'm wondering/hoping they aren't going to force separation with the girls when they come out. It will be interesting if they brand them as Stars or not and how much interaction takes place. I don't think the lack of collabs has as much to do with the penis-having as the language barrier. I know some of the girls speak JP pretty well, but there's also audience language barrier to think about that maybe is holding them back. Also, if holoEN does it and normalizes it, maybe that will bleed over into the JP side as not being a horrible thing. I imagine the success of the male NijiEN gens and that they can interact with females without causing drama is not lost on HL management (or at least I hope so).

Stream still going on but DD said during the steam that she thinks in the future she will spend half the year in the states and half in Japan. No ETA on when that would happen but would make future EN off-collabs easier.

Is that even possible? Isn't it hard to stay there without a permanent job? Kiara/Keeki even got kicked out while she was working at HL. Actually I wonder how long Karen can stay and if a plan of doing 50/50 like this would even work. If HL wasn't able to sponsor Kiara to stay, will they with Calli/Karen? Or I wonder if she has enough other stuff going on the side to be able to keep her visa going? Her situation is a bit interesting considering what happened to Kiara and being unable to find a way for her to stay in JP, but somehow Karen is able to?

Since it's already Irys' birthday: what happened to her new year outfit, shouldn't it be about time it was ready? I mean the new year is over but I don't hope they are planning to release it 2023.

My rrat is still that she is asking for a total redesign in a more "traditional" anime/vtuber style and so there won't be any new outfits until that is done, or that is what they are working on and causing a delay. Her picture in the ads for fes are much more anime styled and I think what she wants. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new live2d like that made for her. They've done redesigns in the past for Nene and Flare at least, so it could be happening. The hardest part would probably be trying to find a way to do it nicely/politically while still maintaining relations with redjuice and not throwing their design under the bus.

Im assuming that maybe americans can get better terms on visas than europoors can, or maybe she does have more shit going around to justify it

Kiara/Keeki wasnt kicked out she decided not to renew her visa because she was home sick thats why shes back in Austira. She had the option to stay but declined it

As for Karen she is techincally on a work visa that has to be renewed similar to Kiara every year. So its really up to her if she decides to cancel it and move back to the states. Cover is a legitamte corporation that can supply visa's.

I don't understand why people want an integration so much. If you want integration, there is Anycolor. My first thought when I saw HoloStars En is "I wonder who will be Roberu's English speaking buddy" or "I wonder if there will be a male metal vtuber in Cover", not "Gee, I hope that will tore down the wall like Cool Aid man". Call me autistic if you must, but I like Cover's model of individual streams, compared to "random unplanned collabs go". Also, what is wrong with HoloStars standing at their own two feet? Nothing, and if anything I want to see HoloStars be bigger by themselves. Collabs should happen because the vtubers will have fun and so will the audience, and not for anything else. Do not go to an autistic dichotomy of "you either support HoloStars or you want to make HoloLive Production be Nijisanji". Instead, be interested and willing to watch and keep watching HoloStars regardless of what happens. They have been able to get as far as they got by their own accord, and they deserve to at least have that recognised. In conclusion, tribalism is autism.

I wouldn't exactly say not being broken up about her stagnated growth is a bad thing in itself. You could take it as a sign that she doesn't want to rectify her situation, but at face value she's just not letting it get to her. She expressed early on that she didn't want to rely too much on her art, so she could try other things and not feel like drawing had to be her main shtick, so that's why we don't see much of it. Here's a clip with her exact words at the start.

For what's worth she did have a drawing stream once and this was the end result

Your side hustle take is more or less correct, her vtuber job is in a way a break from her art job so she can enjoy herself, but said job still seems to take precedence and that's why she's been so inconsistent with her streaming lately. I believe there should be a way for Sana to better balance both jobs and improve herself but I don't think she hasn't gotten to it yet out of disinterest.

Kiara was on a special once-in-a-lifetime non-renewable visa. When its time was up there wasn't anything Cover could do except have her go back to Australia and apply for a new one of a different type at some point.
