They wont shut up because its their only hope. It wont happen because the US wants a forever war where they can arm the rebels instead of drone striking everything.
The US: "Finally its OUR turn to be Iran/Russia in the Middle East! You get to be America this time!"

Are we gonna create another Osama Bin Laden, but from Ukraine this time, and 20 years down the line he'll start attacking the US? That's what happened last time we trained and armed and backed a "resistance" against Russian invasion for years.

Yeah the only reason Ukraine was fighting was to see if they could buy enough time to see if any other country would send troops to help drive the Russians out, but NATO straight up said.
"Fuck that, you can have javelins if you want but until they cross the Polish border we ain't sending troops lol"
All European nations are on the same idea, at this point its very clear they won't get much beyond javelins, ammo and other infantry weapons, and with this Russia is now also sure there won't be any other country meddling specially since their goal is not total occupation and might start going ham on the offensive.
While i support the idea of a country defending itself from foreign invaders at this point with all western nations refusing to join the war is just lost, Zelenskky is just shoving people into the tank treads to slow them down so he can keep his job.
This is wrong. Nobody randomly spray paints over highway signs and superimposes it with "welcome to hell" because they hope the senile geriatric in Washington will rush to their aid. Ukraine knows the score. They are on their own.

It takes 4 weeks to train a Rifleman.

Ukraine was told that if the Russians did anything, NATO and the EU would save them.

Why does this keep being repeated ?

I've payed attention to what was being said by the relevant parties since they first started raising the alarm over the possibility of an invasion a month ago and not only did they never give any indication they would do any more than they are currently, they specifically went out of their way to correct people who thought otherwise.

Neither NATO or the EU (any European assistance would have been unilateral in any case) was ever going to directly confront Russia militarily. The fact that we've seen unprecedented vitriol being expressed towards Russia and they still wont even gamble a no fly zone as long as it stays across the border should make that crystal clear.

If He really thought Ukraine was getting more than this (and what's been seriously proposed since the invasion) He's an idiot and the misconception is entirely on Him and His advisers.

It's really interesting that neither the west nor the Russians can handle hearing "yeah, we're pursuing important strategic geopolitical interests as the great power of our region".

Both sides have to couch their actions in these emotional propagandist terms of "other people are Nazis doing the evil things and we're the good guys doing the good things". And most people will buy it, over and over again.

It's all so tiresome.
Because the general population usually values human lives over nebulous geopolitical concepts, and if you're going to go to war (an incredibly wasteful activity) then you'd better have a damn good reason to spend money and lives on it? How is this interesting? Nearly every warmonger in history has concocted some sort of emotional plea for their people to support their war. Otherwise, especially in this age of relative peace, no-one would want to go to war at all. In general, people don't want to go to war. Only if you have a strong enough reason to (and the strongest justifications are always emotional ones) they'll accept it.

Putin focused so hard on NATO that he ignored the country that actually mattered.

If this is a redux of the Sudetenland crisis, then this time we are watching the country sold down the river going to war instead of acquiescencing.

I was on the fence on this conflict because I saw a story of two ukraines in 2014. One Ukraine surrendered Crimea and Donbass without a fight. The other Ukraine fought off the little green men at Odessa and the "tourists" at Mariople.

The question still remained though. Who was the real Ukraine? Well, the people of Odessa are fortifying the beach with Russian warships in sight, Mariople has gone full Bastogne and has refused to surrender, while a city of Ethnic Russians, Kharkiv, a hero city of the Great Patriotic War against Germany let's not forget, has been subjected to scorched earth carpet bombing by their so called fellow Russians.

The results are in, Ukraine is a real country and if Russia wants it they had better be prepared to pay with the blood of tens of thousands of their sons.

Sorry, if it's already been posted, but Zelensky is in full "Downfall" mode. Main talking points from his last statement.
  • All the people who die since this day are dying because of you - says the guy who left people to evacuate on their own, yeah, sure.
  • NATO knows that new casualties are unavoidable, but still refuses to close the skies - tell Ghost of Kiev to work harder.
  • NATO only gave us 50 tons of diesel. Probably to burn Budapest memorandum - BEGGAR TILL THE END.
  • NATO basically gave Russia green light to bomb cities - ask you fucking forces why they place artillery near unevacuated civilians.
Whiny fag probably thinks that this will make NATO look bad and force it to act, while he only destroys the last drops of morale they had and invites EU to bury him.

Okay, this is really weird. Pay notice to the date.

I found some old Russian propaganda that's absolutely hilarious with the context of the conflict. The title "Russia is an Aggressor again?" and points out that American Imperialism is the real aggressor.
lol none of this is really false though outside of the "muh NAZI!" shit. ISIS was absolutely backed by the US, and NATO absolutely made coordinated efforts to flood the west with shitskins. Even going so far as to kill Gaddafi in a brutal fashion because he didn't want nogs coming through Libya with the intent of flooding the west.

Most first world nations probably won't notice any reduction in food productions as most of them have surplus, but the third world imports a LOT of that surplus if the war doesn't end at Ukraine i expect famines to begin in Africa and the Middle East
Poking around it looks like Ukraine grows winter wheat. It was fertilized and planted last fall. As long as this shit is over by late summer and they don't run over the fields too much it should be a mostly normal wheat crop.

Barley, corn, and sunflower look like their spring crops they do on the second year. Might have trouble getting them in the ground. Doesn't look like they do many legumes and let it go fallow in the third year of the rotation.

Overall it doesn't look like an impossible food production shortfall to overcome. Lots of their spring crop available internationally as they are the lower value crops meant to recover the last of the nitrates in the soil before the fallow year.

I am not providing a value judgement on it, just came across it on my hard drive. Another piece of propaganda i came across:

Again, you're missing the point of my post and bringing up something that happened in the early 20 century and comparing it to today.
I'm going to try, once, to point something out, and maybe try to understand you. Why is wrong to pick a historical fact and use it? We use past history to predict future actions, this is the reason history is taught, it's the reason it's studied. I'm a retarded loser, but I hope to study my own past to inform my future actions so maybe tomorrow will be better than today. I don't get in what world that could be bad.

I'm trying to understand you, i expect you to act in bad faith, because that's what you've done here in this thread, you've spin, twisted and lied. Change that and try to be honest with me, why is that bad?

That's part of what makes it so interesting - people generally don't want to go to war and yet they can be convinced to do so using the same predicable method time and time again, in every era and every culture.

As a group, human beings are unfathomably credulous and have zero capacity for pattern recognition.

Reactions: Male Idiot

Castrating Germany after WW2 was bad idea in the long run lol, given that Japan was rearmed after WW2 and probably about to become the land of the Rising Sun again.

Also the French and the British have gone to shit, it was the British who opposed the EU army and looks like that paid off.

On a final note, Null had a good point about declaring wars, a nation not able to declare war is a slave or vassal to paraphrase him. Basically has no sovereignty, never thought about war like that in manner.

Also is there footage of Ivan trying to pwn a disco?
