Based take on conflict from a young lad

Ukraine all its life... she sucked her whole existence out of Russia. Ukraine has always been smaller than Russia. Kievan Rus was a place where Russians lived, then Ukrainians came there. Ukraine has always been part of Russia, always forced to be part of it, because the Russians are stronger. Russians are better than Ukrainians. Fucking Ukrainians! Your mother is a whore! Your father is a cunt! Your blood is ugly! Russia is a great country! Ukraine will fucking soon become Russian, we'll fucking seize it again. You have always been a part of Russia! You have never been a separate state! You've always sucked us off. Glory to Russia, fuck! Bitch. Let's kill the fuck Ukraine! You know what, I have a grandfather... I have a grandfather! He killed three Ukrainians! Including your fucking grandmother! And your mom drank drops of my fucking sperm! She's still drinking my cum, you know? Fucking bitch! I fucked you in the mouth and fuck your family!

You fucked faggot, Great Russia is better! Russia - glory to the great country! Ukraine has been sucking off Russia all its history and it's sucking off now that I've blocked the fuck out of you all.

US wasn't going to invade Syria. Obama actually backed down from even striking it.

Trump, trying to prove his loyalty to Israel once again as if billions of dollars were not enough and proving once again who owned him, ended up hitting Syria Twice and under trump 1/4 of the country was Stolen from Damascus control.
Obama was financing proxies to take down Assad whereas Trump let Assad live but wanted the oil.

Apparently iirc nobody died from Trump's strikes as he hit an empty airfield and the media was partially happy that he dropped the bombs.

But also partially mad that nobody died.

There would no be another major strike till he took out that Iranian general in response to the US Embassy in Iraq getting attacked.

Woot go Russia!

The simping for Russia is pretty ridiculous. It's like having a violent neighbor that constantly harrases you and threatens to kill you if you call the cops on him. It's not your fault for calling the cops, if anything it's justified once he starts to attack.
The gobbling up of western propaganda is pretty ridiculous. Calling folks simps for russia is a non-starter, you feckless coward. I can almost hear you from beneath the west's skirt.

It's been interesting seeing the trajectory the thread over at arrse has taken and I've tried to keep up with it best I can. I see that a few others here are as well and when stuff gets posted there, people post it here, usually unattributed with no sources. I've been following that thread a lot more recently than this one because of all the pointless autistic slap-fights, and also because there are actually quite a few military and people who have served giving their thoughts. Anyway. Just a couple of things.

As for Western intervention happening, they are trying to find ways around the whole NATO thing. They really are gung-ho and want to get stuck in. They see Vlad as the anti-christ and Russia a country that needs to be crushed until the lamenting of their women can be heard.

More and more the tone is picking up over there that some kind of intervention has to happen, it's just how to figure out how to do it without vlad getting too mad. Well, madder than he already he is. Arrse has kind of got pozzed the last few years, more and more so. I guess the informational warfare division of the British Army holds a lot of sway there now that that is now a thing. It's getting more like reddit every day, even though most of them are right wing, and some of the stuff that is allowed to posted is quite shocking and quite incriminating to anyone who subscribes to cancel culture. It's a brave person that makes an OG effort post on that one though. I'll leave it to someone else. Back to the war...

It's a game of chicken by this point, not even chess or checkers or poker any more. Putin knows the west is seriously pissed off with him and it won't take much for them to get stuck in if he starts indiscriminately going all grozny on their arses. He's playing the long game and he knows optics are important. He will try to kill as many civilians as he possibly can without getting caught. So far he's doing a pretty good job. But the spirits of the Ukies are quite high considering the pounding they have taken, and are about to take. The west know that they had better not get involved, no matter what, because vlad might actually be really mad after all. At this point I think he is just cultivating that persona. See the photos of him with all the Aeroflot Stewardesses today. WTF was that about?

Also, and I've not seen this mentioned here (and I have also been following this thread [inbetween gettting blind drunk]), the Russians have now started to get all 'rapey'. This is accepted as a given over at arrse even though I have not seen a credible source for this, more than a blurry screenshot. Who knows, it might be true. Anyway, a few of them over there think it is, and are wishing death on Russian civilisation.

There have been some quite nasty videos of the Ruskies being humiliated. All uploaded and archived on twitter for prosperity. But never mind that, Ivan the Terrible has been raping his way across the flatlands and badlands of Ukraine.

I like the arrse boys. They're my people. But I think a few of them are getting a bit carried away. Unlike this fine forum, it's not possible to put up a counter argument. It puts itself across as a very serious source based website, but in reality, if you don't 'go with the flow' you will get major flak. It's still a good source though and for the last couple of days I've been following it more than this site because of all you fucking spastics throwing creampies in each other's faces. Still love you all too.

It's good to take a walk on the wild side sometimes, eh babe!
Forgive me but despite the Red Army raping it's way to Berlin, the current Russian Army isn't the Red Army and I remember the miraculous Viagra boxes untouched by NATO bombs Gaddafi purportedly gave his soldiers displayed on TV 24/7 (which turns out never happened) and a batshit insane whore screaming RAPE at a press conference who was memoryholed after she got stabby stabby in Colorado very well. So I take these rape stories with an Imperial ton of salt.

Oh yeah? So we imagined US troops landing in Veracruz in the 20th century to let the Mexicans know who’s boss?

The Columbia’s drug wars?

Nicaragua?

Panama?

Anyone?

Lol. Read up.
My favorite part of this thread has got to be folks making foolishness/dishonest claims and just getting fucking torn apart by people that actually know some stuff. It's glorious.

What I actually said is that I see this as more than a war between Russia and Ukraine. It's the most significant instance of military action without the assent of the the UN since its formation, and represents a struggle for the right to war itself. Without a right to wage war, a country isn't really sovereign. Do sovereign countries besides the United States exist today? The question is answered by Russia now.

If they fold because of economic hardships, then no. Only the United States is sovereign and war is only conducted with the permission of the United States.

If Russia succeeds, and particularly if an Eastern Bloc emerges to challenge the United States's global hegemony of finance, then Globohomo has lost a significant amount of power (or the pursuit of world peace has been set back between 30 ~ 80 years, depending on your perspective).

That's my take. My position is anti-US because I have been mistreated by the US hegemony over finance. It is not pro-Russia.

I've been struggling to put into words why I (soft) support Russia in this mess and this post has given me a eurieka moment. It's not that Putin is particularly great or shares my values, he isn't and doesn't. Putin is a backlash to the rapid decommunisation that happened immediately after the Soviet collapse and the aids omelette that was the Yeltsin administration. I would prefer a healthy western culture that strives to maximise freedom, prosperity and liberty.

However as things stand and will continue to stand as long as Globohomo is in charge; I should expect society to become ever poorer and ever more repressive. The global elites have used the global monopolar power dynamic to make themselves ever richer at the expense of the welfare of citizens from each nation state, and eventually the entire globe. The only way Globohomo can get removed is through competition (as it's shit and relies on monopolistic powers) internal and external.

The best source of competition internally would be some kind of nationalism/localism focused on issues that people actually care about and ever neglected by the TPTB. For me Trump was a good start to that and what is required is for grassroots movements to start enveloping the GOP. As far as something that can replace globohomo/neoliberalism goes it's the only alternative with electoral backing.

Now back to Russia and the Ukrainian invasion. The best thing that can happen is to stymie to Globohomo on the international level would be a competing power, which will be a coalition. A China/Russia/India coalition would provide that and revert geopolitics back to a duopolar state. This will be the point where the US and the west in general would have to smarten up. Their continued existence would depend upon it, no more free fiefdoms for the global elite to squeeze. They continue to squeeze too hard and they will lose it all.

If Russia is mostly successful in Ukraine and weathers the sanctions; probably with Chinese assistance. Then the game changes both domestically and internationally and blows the doors wide open for substantive change made impossible under our current system.

This could work!

According to Russians with Attitude, so take it with a grain of salt, the evacuation buses out of Volnovakha are being fired upon by Ukrainians, for context thats where the Sparta commander died. All their reporters and sources say the fighting there is about to get worse, and it is the Ukrainians going hard on them.
As per usual though:

So either side is lying. I will say that RWA had reports out earlier than the official news stations.
Point is, whoever fired first on a civilian evacuation during a ceasefire is going to look really bad, and if its the Ukies that really did it, expect Olympic style mental gymnastics in the next few hours, if they even admit their chosen boys did it.
Common sense says it's Ukraine lying again. If Russia wanted to kill civies, they would have never agreed to the cease-fire to begin with and would have simply leveled the city.

Ukraine's Shame: An Epidemic of Human Trafficking

Ukraine remains one of Europe's most notorious sources of human trafficking.

Since 1991, more than 160,000 men, women and children have been exploited for labor, sex, forced begging and organ removal, according to a mid-2015 report from the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Ukraine Orphanages Feeder for Child Trafficking

Some 82,000 children are said to live in these facilities, although no one seems to know for sure. Some Ukrainian activists put the number closer to 200,000.

Inside orphanages, DRI found rampant sexual violence, abuse and rape were commonplace. Children are often recruited directly from orphanages for sex and labor according anti-trafficking organizations in Ukraine.

You would think. The elite use the Hegelian dialectic. For example, in Marxism.

Thesis, antithesis, synthesis.

I just don't see anything that would make this happen. If anything, I'd argue external pressure is likely to make the west double-down on its increasing authoritarianism.

If the map above is correct, which it seems about right, then this is gonna break one way in the next few days: Ukraine is about to collapse and once there donbass forces get encircled the end will be insight shortly after that, because thats probably 75,000 DNR and Russian troops that then strike west somewhere else

If the costs of taking an area the size of Ukraine is only 15k , that aint bad.
It's a pretty bad cost if you'd thought it'd be Crimea 2.0 like Putin almost certainly did. Especially when you add in the wounded, the destroyed equipment, and the economic damage. That's assuming he doesn't end up with an ongoing insurgency once the army's defeated.

And that's all with Ukraine only being partially prepared for a war with limited external help.
