Idk if this is true and it doesn't really matter. After winning the Cold War and defeating global communism, deciding to then sign treaties solemnly promising to go to nuclear war to defend the independence of new "allies" like Estonia, Albania, and North Macedonia ( ) was fucking dumb. doesn't come as any surprise that it's gripped the country tbh, if it managed to do so in the balkans in the 90s. the only surprise is as to how much quicker it happened this time around, because you have psychopaths on social media and from abroad encouraging it and politicians tacitly memoryholing and/or ignoring that of their side, even when presented with ample evidence of it becoming ubiquitous.

There are two answers to this question.

1. US politics varies a lot from region to region and some regions don't feel the sting of globohomo much at all.

Tell that to people in mill towns where their decent manufacturing jobs got shipped to China/India and replaced with jobs at Wal-Mart, Dollar General, and McDonald's selling stuff they used to make.

Tell that to the people in coal country where mining jobs get cut every year because of regulations (they conveniently forget that automation allows mines to operate on skeleton crews now).

Tell that to the people in farming communities where every recession, more people sell their farms to big agribusiness. Then they watch the permanent Hispanic population of their town climb. Their kids leave for the city, while Mexican/Guatemalan families shit out 10 kids.

Tell that to all the people who live in communities hit by the opioid epidemic.

Globohomo is not just troons and fags in cities. It's genetically engineered crops with terminator gene. It's farm equipment that can't be worked on except by licensed mechanics. It's the FDA and EPA refusing to scrutinize atrazine to see if it's causing a mass decline in fertility, because they're all industry insiders. It's meatpacking plants hiring Somalis because they work for peanuts.

The whole point of Globohomo is to destroy the countryside and replace it with one homogeneous megapolis.

Ukraine had 200.000 mobilized professional soldiers at the start of the war, has been receiving western weapons for eight years, and has a much larger force of reservists, paramilitaries, and militias. What would a fully prepared Ukraine look like? Ten million soldiers at arms?

There is a memorial to the Niños Héroes, military cadets that were killed during the Battle of Chapultepec, one of the last battles of the Mexican-American War, in the zocalo (town square) of Mexico City. Juan Escutia leapt from Chapultepec Castle wrapped in the Mexican flag to prevent it from being taken by the US Army; some of the dead cadets were as young as 10. I learned this while living in Mexico City. While there I had a friend from France who told me the French invasion of Mexico and the installation of a Hapsburg as monarch of the Second Mexican Empire by Napoleon III was news to her; she said France's shady past was downplayed in her school. Seems like countries don't like teaching the shameful parts of their history so I understand it. People shouldn't get butthurt about it, learning and education is a lifelong process.
