A resistance against tomboy erasure, that’s great news.Apparently not, she's just a skater girl/tomboy according to what my friend said when he read the novelization.
Thank GOD! I'm relieved. So glad I was wrong (but also right because there's still a trans kid in the movie).Apparently not, she's just a skater girl/tomboy according to what my friend said when he read the novelization.
I thought it was a diabetic thing. The implanted blood sugar readers that tell you what it is in live time, something like that.Thank GOD! I'm relieved. So glad I was wrong (but also right because there's still a trans kid in the movie).
... Also, is that an estrogen patch on the kid in that pic on the previous page? I hope not!
I didn think those were common in the early 2000's, though as nobody in my family is diabetic (of either kind) I am probably wrong. I just remember the commecials for the implanted readers really becoming common in the 2010's.I thought it was a diabetic thing. Well the makers of the movie set it in 2002/2003 when boy bands were on the decline (2000 was the peak, the year they should've set it in) so it wouldn't surprise me if there was another anachronism.I didn think those were common in the early 2000's, though as nobody in my family is diabetic (of either kind) I am probably wrong. Quick research tells me the FDA first approved those type of monitors in 1999, so while they wouldn't have been common, they did exist. Or maybe they just really didn't care about year accuracy despite having lived through the years it's set in.I didn think those were common in the early 2000's, though as nobody in my family is diabetic (of either kind) I am probably wrong. I did think it was a little odd that the trans kid would be front and centre. Unless it's like La Fou's 1 second gay dance at the end of BATB they're usually shoved in the background.Apparently not, she's just a skater girl/tomboy according to what my friend said when he read the novelization.
You know, Pixar is a non-union studio and there's big animation union negotiations happening right now... Good publicity, mebbe? They keep using that phrase, "representation matters" like "diversity is our strength." It doesn't make sense, as if representation did matter, then shouldn't the easy money play be to use identities in the majority rather than overrepresenting minorities? Like if we can only identify with characters that look like us, then aren't you alienating the majority of your customer base? I guess you aren't supposed to think and just accept/repeat the WEF slogan.
Still looks like a tranny lolI thought the trans kid was this one..

Yeah, and there were little to no free black people in 18th century France, either. So Turing Red is the one with the trans kid? Why? Out of all their upcoming movies they chose the one that takes place in the early 2000s? No there was no thing as trans kids back then. Even trans teens were rare. I know Canada is more progressive in their culture but I don't see them supporting this in 2002/2003. If they wanted to have a character wo dated the movie wouldn't it have made more sense to have a Scene kid? Or is 2002/3003 too early for that?
Didn't stop the Rat from peppering them all over Beauty and the Beast 2017:Generally, even in the cases of free Negroes, they were servants. This was the most significant feature of the Negroes as a group in eighteenth-century France. Most of them were servants of the planters, or of the army and navy officials who had seen service in the colonies.
the fuckwhat my friend said when he read the novelization.
Hate to break it to you Bub but they are making a live action remake of Lilo & Stitch. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...YQFnoECAUQBQ&usg=AOvVaw1IXPOAl-i2bRiRUoz4RVmwIt's a bit of a PL but my young daughter has recently discovered Lilo and Stitch and is absolutely obsessed with it.
The movie holds up extremely well considering it's age and I've watched the cartoon series with her and it's surprisingly fun and engaging too.
The "diversity" shit was done right too, especially after looking into the musical tracks.
I'm glad modern Disney seems to have forgotten about it. I can't imagine how terrible a CGI diversity movie with the current style would look. Stitch would legit be Furry bait and Lilo would be darker than any actual Hawaiian. We'd probably also get a lecture how evil and racist Elvis was and how it was evil white people who unalived Lilo's parents.
