General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

So Pippa is pulling a Noah Antwiler and/or Randy Stairs where they had an alternate Twitter account(s) where they roleplay as a pet/or a character and reply to other people on that account. Ok but why though?

Edit: I forgot, Delta will be doing a Talking and Singing stream on her main account.

Anyways just found out Irys hates traps.
This women gets more perfect everyday.
It's opposite.
Yeah, she said she likes traps. But quick reminder, the SJW thing in anime fandom in the past few years has been to try and retire the word "trap" entirely (Reddit had a huge autistic slapfight over it).
So clearly, IRyS isn't in that crowd, nor even very aware of it.

Takeaway from Ina's member stream:

-Calli is playing the game on PS5 , while Ina and IRyS are on PC so she was figuring out who could be their third member. Gura was mentioned as a possible third, but she tentatively leaned more towards Noel. Lamy and Botan were floated but apparently they're on PS5 as well.
Ina/IRyS/Noel would be a group right up my alley, I hope they do manage to get that together.

Koyori is doing a Passion English stream. It's going well so far:
koyori 1.JPG

But don't worry, it wasn't supposed to be threatening! She made it a little clearer:
koyori 2.JPG

(It sounded like she didn't intend this implication either, but if not, I can't figure out what else she could have meant lol)

Here's another one for you that really hit home for me recently. What's your sleep schedule like? Do you stay up super late without trying, and sleep half the morning? Trying to maintain a normal person schedule hard as fuck? That's a thing people are talking about recently called "Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome". They're finding a 75%+ correlation between this and ADHD as well.

As someone who's diagnosed with ADHD (not self-diagnosed), it explains a lot of issues one has with trying to be "Normal". What it doesn't do is excuse behavior such as Calli's, if the rrats about her always being unprepared is true. She should be open about her diagnosis to the other members and let them know how she might be a liability.
This is life with mental illness 101. Tell your co-workers you have it and how to deal with it. A quick one would be: "Don't trust me with responsibility" or "Remind me of my tasks often until they're complete".
But yeah, what you're saying here, Reinigen, is correct. We often struggle heavily with sleep. We're usually better liars than our peers, too. Its one of the ways psychiatrists looks for ADHD symptoms in teens; if a teen is a habitual liar, to the point of lying about things they don't need to lie about it raises a huge red flag towards ADHD and heavily decreases the chances for ASL.
Welp. Don't know how real this but i just saw this on /VT/

Pomu: Feels like an all out war right now lol
Finana:Yeah it's probably because Luxiem/Noctyx earn as much as their JP livers
Fulgur:Yeah council didn't do as good as they expected the Luxiem became massive seems their a little scared. I'm just not sure if they do it like the JP side with the idol mentality of genders being seperated if it will work at all but yeah they were mad about niji apps being open again for sure lol
Shu: You got this Reimu, but yeah i remember having my hopes up applying for thr first hololive auditions thinking they were looking for any holostars haha goodtimes
Millie: Glad your with us Shu
Vox: Holo tech issue in shambles Niji thriving thank me shu
Mysta: Just been feeling really down and depressed recently times like this before i would just post to my private twitter but now I'm way too scared yo even post on there in fear of if i hAve hat followers on there without knowing
This is the biggest, most absurd nothingburger of all time. Not a single attack on any of the Holomem (just the faceless Corpo overlords) and stating a fact that Council hasn't performed as well as Mythic has. Of course not, you can't capture lightning in a bottle twice. Myth excelled because of several factors, one of them being Gura who absolutely knew how to get fans. Taunting the journalist whom called her pedobait in the thumbnail making her a talking point across image boards and using several techniques to make the algorithm favor her content over others, such as community posts (long before Spiffing Brit's video on how community posts are broken, mind you). But Gura's just one of several factors. The initial hype, Kiryu Coco's existence as a whole, Calli's 2 songs being incredibly popular.

I'd be surprised if any disciplinary action is made public thanks to this. Probably just teaching some SpecOps and that's it.
In other news, I'm laughing at this list someone on Twitter made cancelling various vtubers. I love the idea that people would need to dm for "proofs" on Kenmochi or Utako lol. Shame that they released it today, any other day and it might have been the top drama in the en community.

Account has already been deleted. I love democracy.
Yeah it's honestly funny how cheap the companies are being with it. They can easily subsidize or provide basic equipment that the streamers need to conduct their job (like a business), and use another communication platform for internal stuff instead of discord. They most likely do discord too cause it's free and don't need to license for it. If I recall too from a while back, Elira said she made the discord for the EN performers, when she was messing with Pomu and her permissions.

Edit:
Video where Elira talked about Discord shenanigan's. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdiPPv879UI&t=1s
Yeah its honestly laughable to me. Most work places once you go above working in a store/fast food has employees getting equipment or handling equipment worth far more than a top-end Gaming PC. Even those who walk around streets in big cities selling bonds/subscriptions to poor children in Africa have equipment given to them by the company worth at least 5k USD. Warm clothes, ipads to handle the sales, E-scooters to get around. These are employees working on commission with 9/10 quitting before they make a single sale, by the way. Surely Cover/Niji can afford 6-7k on a gaming rig and a capture rig for the girls, as well as peripherals. All of the girls & Nijiboys make more than that the day Superchats go up that I've seen. Except maybe Indonesia Niji?
Karen would still be a nothing wigger working at (real) Applebees and JET without hololive/Calli. Sure now that she found fame as Calli and everyone knows who her roommate is, like Coco/Kson before her, she could leave and most of the deadbeats would probably follow her. But it is just exceptional to say that she doesn't need hololive. I think she realizes that and has also made genuine friends with her genmates and others, so long as they let her live both lives as Calli and DDK without too much intervention, I don't think she has any reason to leave.
Yeah. Karen would be noone without Hololive, but Hololive has jettisoned her to being someone. She doesn't need Hololive anymore to be someone, but given Hololive's connections within the Japanese music industry she'd certainly be shooting herself in the foot for leaving.
But that's assuming Karen is rational. Did you know people with ADHD are 30% more likely to have issues with work, and are also heavily likely to change jobs or face burnout? I don't have a number for the last claim as it was taught to me on a seminar I attended years ago to teach me how to live with ADHD, but I'm sure googling it would show results.
In short, if Karen were to grow "bored" of Hololive, of being Calliope Mori, she would likely leave Hololive behind.

And here's my rrat, as someone who has ADHD and has gone to seminars about it, read up on medical journals about my diagnosis and gone to psychiatry about it in order to fully understand my weaknesses and subconscious; I think the reason we have constant Karen doomposting is tied to this.
I believe subconsciously or consciously, she makes decisions she knows are bad and creates unnecessary drama and situations in order to keep her life as Calliope Mori exciting and eventful. Like "accidentally" tweeting she's on lean, or "accidentally" liking a MSPaint tweet of Connor rawdogging her.
To finish this and my own 2 personal cents on Karen; I find it fucking hilarious how many trannies superchat her thanking her for having her voice and how it inspires them.
Imagine how you would feel if you began streaming and a lot of trannies told you that your effemiate and feminine voice gave them courage and inspires them. I'd start taking steroids as clearly my balls wouldn't be producing enough testosterone.

Ina/IRyS/Noel would be a group right up my alley, I hope they do manage to get that together.
It would be nice to see more members of Holo Fantasy spend time with more EN members aside from Pekora and for a little while the late Rushia. Flare really warmed up to Kiara and Noel seemed really relaxed on Holotalk.

Ngl this sounds too much like a reach, Mori's range isnt always that low and she even uses a higher pitched voice unatianable to anyone born a man without sounding too forced, if anything sometimes her wigger voice sounds like the tryhard one than the moments she makes it higher for muh gap moe

In my particular case, I didn't get diagnosed til I had flunked out of college. I'm on the higher end of the bell curve (95+ percentile) so I zoomed through public high school with it being a complete joke. But as such, when I landed in a prestigious university, I discovered I had learned absolutely zero study skills throughout my entire life. And with an undiagnosed 'learning disorder' to contend with, I very quickly learned a 5-figure lesson in how unprepared I was for college. Smarts don't mean much if you have no fucking clue how to apply them.

But yea, a lot of Calli's habits suddenly make a lot of sense when viewed through the lens of "She's got ADHD". Not an excuse, exactly as you say. But definitely a modifies the way you view it all.

On corporations giving out equipment, it's not as easy to manage as you'd think.

If they give equipment: logistics aside, most contracts will state that any work done on company provided equipment belong to the company to cover their own interests. This would mean that employees have to watch what they do and if they want to do work for say another job/channel they'd need another computer. So then they'd need 2 PCs to cover all bases, 3 if they have a dual PC streaming setup.

If they give money: Is it considered personal property or company property? What if an Aloe happens? The talent would need to repay the stipend which they've now sunk into equipment so it's now out of pocket for them unless they can find some way to recoup the costs.

In either case there's also the issue of physical tech support. Only really works when the employees are in the same city as the company.

Employees buying their own gear: they can do whatever they want on them. No issues once a contract ends. They can get stuff repaired locally. This does mean that not everyone is on equal footing. Anyone that can afford the upfront costs for equipment will be in a better position that someone trying to stream from a laptop with a dollar store mic.

40 min in and they're only just actually starting the game instead of messing around in lobby, LMAO

edit: 1 hr in and NOW they're starting
