Has she ever said she was Hispanic? Do we have a source for her claiming that?
And I've heard quite a few times that she's said she's an indian. Anyone have a source for her saying that?
What do we know about her Christian background? I know from a Boyce interview she went to a Lutheran school. Anything beyond that?
When it comes to her her munchie behaviors, can someone point me to some some places where she claims to have her various disorders? I know about
her skin disability, lol, but I've heard of a few more examples, but no sources.
That's my cue. Unofficial chronicler of munchies on this here webforum and Sierra set off my alarm bells months ago. Here's a mix of my notes from then and stuff I found while digging now. Anything in italics is shit I haven't found the correct source for yet and will try to get back to when I have time. I can't help with the CAIS shit because that all happened after I stopped watching.
ETA: Bolded text is stuff I found after making the post. I'm just throwing anything I find of interest in here in case it's of use to anyone.
Religion:
She's a
confirmed Lutheran and this gives her formal theological training of sorts.
She "
detransitioned from Christianity."
In college she ran an atheism club and debated Christians.
Lutherans are confirmed around age 14 usually, so sometime between then and graduating undergrad, she left the church. That's all she really says about religion. I didn't see her claim to be Jewish, just what I think is some weird Mormon rhetoric about the Native Americans being Jewish when she was grasping at straws for why that unflattering cartoon of her was racist.
Ethnicity.
I have never heard her claim she's Hispanic. She speaks Spanish and claims fluency in it, though, so maybe people extrapolated from that?
@Ronnie Rocket already proved her family is Euro-American for many generations and she
has no known tribal affiliation. So even if she does have some Native ancestry way back, she wasn't raised with the culture and traditions. Ronnie's guess was family lore, mine is picked up a fake identity/culture to win arguments during her edgy college atheist days because today she still wields it as a cudgel. Some times she's used it to win arguments:
Comes from a
matrilineal culture, won't specify which because racism.
Specifies she's
mohawk (kind of, she says she's of an indigenous culture and the response is "someone else who is also mohawk ___")
"I'm the 'i' in BIPOC!"
"
Don't use my culture as a pawn"
Explaining the
history of two-spirit. About 9 minutes in she goes on another Native history rant.
My hair is long because
HISTORICAL GENOCIDE OF MY PEOPLE!!!!
Oops, by challenging her claims of Mohawk ancestry I am
committing literal genocide right now.
She visited indian missions as a child for school trips and had to build replicas of them for class projects which upset her because native ancestry.
Native people don't like to explain their culture to non natives because "our" people have suffered so much from white people's racist views of our culture
Her credentials:
A lot of people, myself included, initially thought she was some flavor of medfag. In this video (one of the first I saw) she says she's not a doctor but she is a
medical pathologist. I was unaware that medical pathologists
are doctors so I thought she was telling the truth here, that "I'm not a doctor but I work in a the laboratory doing medical testing for doctors and help them diagnose patients accurately." Willing to chalk it up to my own ignorance and there are other videos from the same era where she admits she's an SLP, but I saw other people in the thread bring up that she made this claim and no, you didn't imagine it. Here's one where she talks about
"our" duty as medical professionals. She seems to be very sensitive about people saying that as an SLP she's not qualified to be making these medical claims.
Health shit:
The one diagnosis she names and claims is Eagles Syndrome, a calcification of one of the itty bitty ligaments in her throat, but she alludes to another systemic connective tissue disorder.
Saying she'll lose her hearing if she gets pregnant because of otosclerosis. I don't know anything about this, so will refrain from comment.
"Known skin conditions." What, acne? From the same rant as "skin disabilities"
Way back in april she brought up "
a disability that relates to my skin."
I AM VERY SMART. I'm just "socially disabled" by my own intelligence.
When she interviewed Ryan James she spilled a lot of details about her various health claims. Among them was that she has neuropathy/weakness in her hands and small repetitive tasks become difficult by the end of the day, which she said to explain why she has a self-cleaning litter box. Basically, she has to cut out as many of these small tasks as possible because they add up. Hilariously, the phallo victim in question mentioned not being able to lift since getting her arm flayed and Sierra went on a sperg about her own powerlifting hobby in the same conversation that she was claiming her hands were too weak to clean the kitty box. She also mentioned a 5-day hospitalization with an EEG and that she had seizures but they are no longer a problem.
Here's the interview video but it's two hours long and I don't have time stamps handy
"It's hard enough to have our needs taken seriously as disabled people when we have invisible disabilities."
In her quest to get a diagnosis she got tested for Chiari Malformation, a differential diagnosis for Eagles. (munchie favorite, often seen in people claiming the genetic CT disorder ehlers-danlos syndrome).
She claims her condition makes it difficult for her to talk for a long time because her throat muscles become physically exhausted.
She had surgery to correct Eagles Syndrome but it was too little, too late and the inflammation caused by the surgery actually made the problem worse.
She claims she has a rare stutter that is much more common in men and does not improve with speech therapy.
She said that in college she often had to use various braces while walking around campus and this made Christians target her because she had a visible sign of disability.
When discussing Harvard requiring Jazz to work and volunteer a certain number of hours to prove he could handle real life, she mentioned that she would not have been able to pass this test because, due to her disabilities, she wasn't able to keep up with such a schedule in college.
Her seizures are psychogenic.
(Most of this stuff was said in her hours' long livestreams and I haven't started going through them yet).
Here's a
pic of her lifting at the gym although n/s how old it is.
And just a random funny ha-ha I found complaining about
other people diagnosing diseases in themselves based on superficial understanding. Pot, kettle.
autistic analysis of munchie claims so far: I'm still not sure whether Eagle's Syndrome and the CT disorder she claims are the same or whether they were separate diagnoses and she hasn't specified the other CT disorder. The fact that she claims a "skin disability", the hearing loss thing, and that she used to walk around covered in braces makes me think she claims IRL to have the genetic collagen disorder Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, very popular in munchie circles because it comes with a bunch of comorbidities and the hypermobility subtype doesn't have a known causative gene yet unlike the other dozen subtypes.
She's even mentioned (obliquely) having a friend with it.
The friend had Marfan's Syndrome. If Eagles Syndrome is the CT disease, then she's never explained why a calcificaiton in her throat made her need braces all over before the surgery, or why she no longer needs them if the surgery made her worse, or why it affects her skin for that matter.
Not funny but apparently her
girlfriend died in May. I don't know if this has anything to do with her going way off the fucking deep end but I figured it's worth mentioning.
I'll be back to finish/add to this later. Sorry to leave it incomplete but I didn't want someone else wasting their time when I've already done half the work.
