General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Sounds like pekomiko was just a corporate collab and then they both disliked the shipping that happened, while mikomet is just something that happens and they have better boundaries with the viewers.
I'm guessing we can infer a pattern: managers/talent notice interaction between talents brings engagement > push for more collabs > para-shipping happens > talents burn out and collabs stop

DIVEGRASS DAY 3 IS ON, I REPEAT, DIVEGRASS DAY 3 IS ON, THIS IS NOT A DRILL

IIRC The Pokemon Company and Cover have a special condition wherein their permission to play any Pokemon game is closely related to any ongoing NND Collaboration they have; NND collab ends, then no more Pokemon streams allowed.
Which is doubly weird if you consider that Nijisanji ALSO gets Pokemon NND Collabs and they're allowed to play Pokemon whenever the fuck they want

So might just be a difference in contracts or something.

Very strange. I feel like one or both of the companies should come together to sort out that aspect of whatever deal they have.

Not sure it was a 'corporate' thing but yeah, definitely seems that she takes issue with the shipping and fans saying that two business friends are a couple.

Honestly it's quite brave of her to come out and say that not only her, but also Peko and Suisei get burned out by the hunger for 'TeeTee' and yuri-baiting when that's a lot of their brand when it comes to collabs. I feel like Miko doesn't address her chat as straight as that very often.

Also: that KU100 microphone that Noel uses? A little pricey. Makes a $100,000 studio setup a bit more understandable (though audiophile stuff is some of the most overpriced crap on the planet)

Goth Fauna would approve
TBH - Haachama posted that she also bought a KU100 and I was so surprised along with other Holos who buy it and are not looking to do regular ASMR videos. Maybe cause Haachma will eventually pour melted chocolate all over it or some other cursed idea.

But waaah, poor notRushia can't afford a model, and waah, poor notRushia can't afford an apartment/house and is probably homeless you guise. Sure, maybe if she has major gambling debts to the mob or something…

Coco set the precedent that after the Holo girls make names for themselves, they can quit and go indie and have greatly financially successful careers without corporate bullshit, which is probably more than a little scary to the indies who don't want their biggest moneymakers to just up and quit on them. Now Rushia is setting the precedent that the same can happen after the girls get fired for being malicious dipshits. This is a problem.
So which one of you does co-blogging for Ace of Spades? It's ok, it's a great site, but when I see people talk about Pippa and also mention Pomu and Ina, it makes me have a thunk where they lurk or post.

I think it’s pretty much how Holo organize as more anime vs Niji who’s more on individual streamer hence the Niji motto of find one and stick with.

Holo try to write a hybrid of anime script with shipping etc. we see this more and more common in Seiyuu idols and those sell like hot cakes. When the seiyuu burn out they just up and get married while the one left behind can thirst for another one and continue to milk it for contents.

This is how some said that Holo relationship and interaction seems fake which I agree but the shipping culture behind it is a goldmine. I wonder if Holo would debut their couple bait like that of Tsugux2 & Kayanon or homo bait like Sugibro & Nakamura with StarsEN.

Honeslty Rushia probably wouldnt have gotten a golden parachute like she is getting if she didnt foster the hyper gachikois to the point of sending supposedly not allowed private videos to them, who knows if the wedding merch was thought up by corporate or her though

A chuuba needs a fanbase as parasocial as her or as beloved as Kson and Lulu to keep the corpo momentum or stay a big-ish player on the scene

Oh, Haachama just needed an approximation of a human head for planning out torture methods an innocent, harmless project.

Merch is basically entirely up to either the talent herself or whichever brand collab is happening at the moment. For instance, Ina has done a few streams where she brainstormed merch ideas with members, she prefers useful items like sweatshirts, mugs, umbrellas, etc. I'm sure the wedding merch was entirely Rushia's idea, given how little other talents care for that kind of parasocial encouragement.

It's not really a problem. Sure, Kson and Mikeneko are doing good financially seemingly. But they're doing it outside of Hololive's umbrella and connections. Without the support of Hololive, its incredibly hard to make your original songs, make proper covers, collab with public entities and have big sponsor events like with Lawson. That's not to mention stuff like dancing and singing lessons or the trickle down subscribers effect of Hololive.

Hololive does insane marketing within Japan that the girls benefit heavily from. Stuff like members going on TV, sponsorships with convenience stores, truck decorations, being plastered on Akihabara.

Mikeneto and Kson do not benefit from this anymore. And thats before I as a westerner try to imagine the Japanese stigma around staying around in an industry you've been fired from. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Rushia gets rigging and model from the west, unlike Kson who used the same artist that drew Kiryu Coco.

Mikeneto will probably not reach the same level of subscribers as what Rushia had when she was fired.

Merch is easy enough to sell, most content creators sell merch of some sort. Marketing is the hard part

Also Kson seems know how to do business.
She probably learnt a lot from the Hololive business process.

Meanwhile, Mikeneko seems don't know how to do business.
She might be end up promoting scam app again like the old day.

Also, I feel that Rushia's artist/designer still willing to make her a model.

Correct, one of the things i learned when the downfall of Keeki as a idol happened is how more or less the entertainment industry in Japan is a big ass circle of people that know each other, you don't get anywhere without raw talent and specially without a sponsor/connections, the problem in the case of Rushia is that she did not graduate but was declared Excommunicate traitoris, for us westerners doesn't mean much but in the japanese industry it leave a fuck awful precedent and you are not going to get into the big leagues because your CV is "tainted" for failing a contractual obligation, she is going to stay as a streamer for life, same as Aloe for the detriment of the Deltahomos

Kson is a special case because she actually went out with honors and she know how the business work that is how she even nailed a sponsor once that sadly was cucked by the chinese

Mikeneto will probably not reach the same level of subscribers as what Rushia had when she was fired.
One of the problems she has to fix is that she need a Live2d, the Dragon herself admitted to Connor i think it was that Japaneses dont watch and dont like her facecam streams that is why she went to Coco designer and comissioned a pimping live2d

That's my point, though. Kson and Mike benefitted from Holo's marketing to become absolutely massive in this space. Now they can go out and be absolutely massive on their own. Sure, now they don't have the marketing and cross-promo opportunities and will probably not grow as quickly as they did in Hololive, but when they can press "start stream" and thousands of dollars pour in, who cares either way? They are still benefitting from the previous promo work that Hololive did for them, but not giving back anymore.

And if Kson or Mike decide they want to make an original song again, all they have to do is hire a producer to put it together for them and rent out a recording studio. It's not that difficult if you have money, which they do. If Russel Greer can figure it out, so can they.

I don't think mikeneko's goals are artistic in nature. She's all about the long hustle, maintaining her highly loyal, highly monetizable cadre of simps.
e: not that there's anything wrong in that, hell if I could milk people for their cash while promising vague notion of affection or esteem I'd do it too.

How hard is it to not show your Discord to the audience.

Super gehy and late to this but my take is why are all these companies using the app that is literally Doxxing: The App for internal company communication? Are you too cheap to get a license for an actual real messaging and email system/server? If you want to use Discord for fan stuff that's fine but for fuck's sake keep the internal stuff off of it, this is how many retard moments we've seen caused by it. Or if you're going to use it as a company make some rules about what channels you can have open during streams or set it to streamer mode. I mean holy shit, you have enough to worry about with some schitzo fans and then you use shit tech to serve stuff like this up on a silver platter.

Also my god, people from a company in the same field as another company shit-talk the other company? If people are surprised about this it just shows how many people have never had a fucking job. Once again my reaction can be summed up in a single image:
