Lol, those are BMD-2s, not any BMP variant. Look at the indentation at the rear of the hull.

Well that actually makes the possibility that they were Russian more plausible. BMD-2s are an airborne vehicle. Ukraine only has (had?) a few dozen while Russia has nearly a thousand in service. I was thinking that just because they didn't look Russian did not mean they're not Russian. Airborne units usually have different gear from normal infantry. Vehicles have to be lighter in order to fit on planes and drop from great heights. Heavier armor can be dropped onto a runway but not open terrain.

I think the VDV in particular had some sort of issue with corruption and incompetence. Blunders are usually a part of war. If the entire Russian military performed as poorly as the VDV, the Ukrainians would probably be retaking the territory lost in 2014. But they seem to be doing adequately by Russian standards.

Whoops! The US accidentally created a anti-American coalition group because they had the dumb idea of mixing cancel culture with politics.
Apparently RuPay was already in talks to being introduced in Russia. I kind of want that to happen now, just say the Ru stands for ruble or Russia and it becomes patriotic for slavs.

I guess one of the funniest things about this whole debacle is that since the MSM is choosing to focus on it so much, race grifters in the US are calling the coverage racist because we aren’t giving places like Somalia equal attention.
Race grifters will never learnt the only reason they exist is the same reason this conflict gets so much attention. I am glad though that race grifters have gotten out of control for their masters.
Bingo. "But it's being used against bad guys like Russia and we're good guys."

And the nigger cattle go back to grazing.
I wish nigger cattle would wake up. It's too much to ask though.

Something "good" that has come out of this shit show is that maybe it opened the eyes of many people on how globocorp inc and it's affiliates can disconnect you from their services if they deemed you problematic or troublesome, maybe they don't care now because it's happening somewhere else but it sure as hell can (and will) happen very near you soon.
An easy solution would be to not invade a country. Globohomo inc. still operates in countries where they stone women, you know.

In this moment, I am euphoric. Not because of any phony globalist’s blessings, but because I am enlightened by my own strategic brilliance.

I would say the Canadian convoy protest did that better because this same kind of financial cancellation was not proportional response. Cancelling Russia IS. Although I agree that both events needed to happen for people to connect the dots. India and China would not be running commercials for UnionPay if they didn't connect these dots; they would have virtue signaled while circumventing sanctions for Russian resources if only one of these events occurred.

Those don't look like BMP-2Ms to me.

BMP-2Ms have double ATGMs mounted to both sides of their turrets:

The one's in the video only have a single ATGM tube and it's in the middle and on top of the turret:

You know what has a single ATGM tube mounted on top of the turret? Ukrainian BMP-2s:

It's interesting to claim they are BMP-2Ms (which would be a model that only the Russians would have) instead of saying they're BMP-2s (which both sides have). I think there is some good propaganda and PsyOps going on.

It's a clever move. When you have equipment that looks similar enough to everyone who isn't a tank autist, just send out someone with a smartphone and a can of white spray paint, and you can make your losses look like victories just by spraying a white Z on the sides of your vehicles. Clever move by the Ukrainians, not bad at all.
Actually, that's a good spot.

I know there have been Russian equipment losses posted before that were like...literally not in service in Russia but were in Ukraine.

The Ukranian propaganda is counterproductive though. Look at us we're winning. We're seizing all this equipment! We're gonna fucking destroy those terrible Russians! And then you're just some dude in Odessa wondering why a batallion tactical group is showing up at your door and turning your ass into Grozny.

Well whoever identified those vehicles as BMP-2's is incorrect.

Those are BMD-2's.

An air-droppable IFV which is in service with the Russian VDV. While it's true that these vehicles are also in Ukraine's inventory, it's far more likely that this is footage of yet another VDV fuckup.

Corruption is baked in to the Russian military. Has been since forever. The only thing a new government changes is how the corruption works. I wonder if vlad will do a little house cleaning after this war to serve as an example about not letting it get out of hand.

Funny piece from a French journal (anti-Putin, obviously).

Russia: the terrible blunder of Visa and Mastercard

On Saturday 5 March, Visa and Mastercard took a decision that seemed to make sense and was perfectly in line with the spirit of the Western sanctions: to block the use abroad of all their cards issued on an account in a Russian bank. But they did not fully appreciate the consequences of this decision.

Certainly, a few hundred oligarchs based in London, Paris or New York can no longer draw on their bank accounts established in Russian establishments and thus take a little more of their loot out of the country.

But this measure also affects tens of thousands of opponents, journalists and activists who, in recent months and particularly in recent days, have fled Russia for Europe, Georgia or the United States. Wherever they have taken refuge, from one day to the next they have been left without any resources. Since they heard the news, they have been in a state of shock, unable to imagine their future.

Unwittingly, Visa and Mastercard have therefore taken a step that delights the Putin clan, since those who will suffer the most are the women and men who chose to fight his regime from abroad. These two companies should reconsider their totally counterproductive decisions.
