General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Holodeath was a reaction to Umisea by the girls, with no merchandise backing or anything. They played Minecraft together once then Mario Party 3-4 months ago.
True, but the day rushia was canned, Holobirds had a collab planned, so maybe those kinds of non-umi sea theme collabs would've been the new meta, but thats just me maybe assuming too much

The ones who seemed to be friendly with her IRL (Marine, Chama, Kson, Pekora) have all paid tribute in their weirdly reserved ways, and nobody is acting relieved that she's gone.
If Rushia makes any kind of comeback, Kson being on good terms with her will probably be beneficial, anyway

Anyway, Marine still isn't really back after the incident, I don't remember an official announcement of her taking a break. She had a members-only stream on the 28th, though.

Now that i'm remembering the menhera case someone in my discord pointed a single fact that people has disregarded as just corpo talk and was the first announcement where they said they did not gave a shit about her personal life and opened a investigation, considering that the shit she gave to JP Keemstar had her name on it and Mafu refusal to show the discord receipts im assuming that during the investigation she got locked out of her Discord and Twitter by the company and the stupid cunt did not delete anything to own the twink, Emperor's know what is was there that she passed to being protected by the company to be yeeted and declared traitor on the spot

I kinda believe this rrat because Haachama passed to break containment for her to just never mention her ever again and Rushia complete technological stupidity

By the way, the people we follow here have streamed through OBS every day for months and years. Every time you see a yab and go "hnnnn they just should not use discord they cant even open settings tab hurr hurr how are theey professionals" you are just making an ass of yourselves for thinking you will never make a mistake on your 130th stream
Or just put all yab in another place, there is a reason pros recommend having all shit like discord and importan files in a laptop, everything that dont require horsepower should be put in a separate machine

Btw about Rushia. Haachama continues to protect Rushia's stuff in cubegame.
Correct, one of the things i learned when the downfall of Keeki as a idol happened is how more or less the entertainment industry in Japan is a big ass circle of people that know each other, you don't get anywhere without raw talent and specially without a sponsor/connections, the problem in the case of Rushia is that she did not graduate but was declared Excommunicate traitoris, for us westerners doesn't mean much but in the japanese industry it leave a fuck awful precedent and you are not going to get into the big leagues because your CV is "tainted" for failing a contractual obligation, she is going to stay as a streamer for life, same as Aloe for the detriment of the Deltahomos
But she didn't have a lot of karaoke streams and not a lot of covers, more just game or talk streams.
Why did I find this out watching divegrass? Kaneko Lumi and Amaris Yuri are graduating from Cyberlive. I suppose we'll find out more later?

I haven't watched much CyberLive/Twitch vtubers at all, so idk what's going on over there

They have the rights to their own avatars, they made them for their own money. Cyberlive did informational support, merch, etc. So they're more likely to become indie, like their friend, Ayane Hylo, who graduated not too long ago

i just want to add that rather than using speculate 'all JP members just turned their back on Rushia'

using that as a reference,
TL; DW: Japanese being Japanese, when seeing someone mostly Japanese. they tend to look away not trying to be involved with someone else problem to save their own asses. except when it comes to the tourist they might start to help due to the feeling of trying to treat a 'special guest' in their country. it even shows japan being on 107th rank out of 114th country in term country who likely "donating money to charity"

that's why when the menhera itself tweet about thanking Kson, I think it Kson having outsider minded or being a normal person, in general, try to help Rushia, since she doesn't have Japanese mentality, and HoloEN member like Calli, or Kiara show their emotion due to this because they didn't think like the Japanese who doesn't want to involve.
Could it just be the risk of publicly associating with someone who broke contractual agreements? Most of them are probably talking to Rushia privately, so that they don't make any mistakes that could trouble the company.

Marine was gone before the incident, she's still resting her throat trying to heal, though she said then that she feels better and her voice sounds good again, she's just holding off a little more to be safe with 3rdfes coming up

Flawed correlation. There's a difference between venting about a friend and venting about your co-workers/company while breaching a NDA and giving a Drama Youtuber a deadman's switch while threatening suicide.
Last time I checked you're probably more likely to bitch about co-workers than friends. And as I mentioned, I fully admitted that she's was guilty of being stupid enough to complain about that to one of the biggest JP drama stars. I highly doubt NDA matters in that regard. I've been under NDA's and still talked about it to people I trusted.

Other members have openly talked about friends and family knowing shit, you really think that doesn't technically go against their NDA?

But I'm going to ask a genuine question, who here hasn't talked shit about something their closest friend did/does, to another friend they trusted?
What do you mean by 'talked shit'? I have two guys that I consider to be my best friends, and I would never say anything behind their backs that I wouldn't say to their face. Why hide behind whispers when you can talk about your issues? I'd hate to be friends with someone that shits on me and doesn't have to guts to actually have a conversation about whatever they, or I, find objectionable. Making fun of each other is fair game obviously, but again I would make fun of you to your face as well so... Yeah there's not really any situation in which I would exclusively talk shit about you instead of directly to you.

I agree in principle if it wasn't for the fact that capturing gameplay is the default choice, meaning they made a conscious choice to capture monitor instead and that's directly linked to both yabs.

You're right. And if she bitched to close friends and family it'd be a different matter entirely. But she didn't. I hope that she hasn't permanently lost any major friendships made within Hololive over that. But I would be quite upset if I found out someone I work with had planned a deadman's switch. And I would be quite wary about revealing anything to this person moving forward.

actually, didn't vshojo open auditions like 7 months ago? When will we get the new horde of hellish abominations?
And what can we hope for? Holo rejects? Troons and SJWs? Lunatics and societal deviants? or just more boring, hornybaiting, c-tier EN vtubers?
IF something Vei & Hime debuts and the amount of viewers on twitch shown its that they will keep pandering to the coomer/degenerate market, even considering (afaik) the actual girls on the agency has a vote on who gets in, assuming the remote case that their usual orbiters doesnt make it but other girls that shares their mentality does.

It was probably pushed back due to the whole Nux shit and the phishing scam drama that had the auditions as the literal lynchpin of the whole thing.

As for 'who', it'll be Twitch Indies, most likely.

On this, I've heard from quite a few streamers that application capture doesn't always work for some reason. In fact I think Gura was mentioning issues specifically with GTAV back when she first started that OBS wasn't capturing the application properly. This could be a hardware or an OBS configuration setting though since there are many factors that can contribute.

Did you just casually forget about the part where she decided her best course of action is to contact a Japanese Drama channel instead of listening to her manager and just waiting until Monday?
I'm still surprised that the manager didn't do anything when it came out. It was the hot topic the moment the message appeared and was even trending. Considering how members stream on weekends, it's strange for management to not even be on-call for things like this. In Rushia/Mikeneko's mind, she was pretty much caught with her pants down.

I guess this all goes to show how important managers are for entertainers. It seems so many are not equipped to deal with things to which a third party would find the solution trivial.

I don't know why you are all focusing on the software fix so hard. Just get a second monitor. They can come for cheap and require 0 setup and technical knowledge. It seems the chuubas who act the most professional already have a multi-monitor setup, though, seeing how their avatar looks left and right when responding to the chat.

(assuming Mike's actually totally innocent and didn't do anything wrong or stupid)

Like I mentioned before, OBS isn't the most stable streaming program (as with any program that receives constant updates).
Things that go swimmingly and work without a hitch during a 2.0 build may break or glitch during a 2.1 build and features like game capture are no exception. Game capture may sometimes glitch and capture other programs or show desktop notifications similar to how display capture does it and alt-tabbing, changing game resolution, changing from full screen to windowed/borderless etc. usually cause this mid-stream.

Since Rushia at the time (from what I heard; wasn't watching the stream) was changing audio levels for GTAV with Miko, it could be plausible that she alt-tabbed to adjust it in volume mixer or in OBS itself, or just opted to make Miko louder in discord (which might've also made OBS glitch and show the notification since she'd be tabbed into discord).

The only thing that might've really stopped the notif from showing is to have discord in Streamer Mode which turns on by default as soon as you launch OBS. So, idk if Rushia disabled that feature in discord herself, it's an OBS-side glitch, or a discord-site glitch. If she had done the first thing though, then it's honestly horrendous OPSEC because that feature's literally there to protect streamers from things like this.

Streamer Mode at the time was bugged and showed notifications regardless. Pekora similarly had a Discord notification pop up randomly within a day or so. It's safe to assume that both of them had it turned on.
