I'm actually not sure Russia learned anything about their military deficiencies or at least done anything to remedy them. From what I remember reading, the problems they are having now with logistics and communications and small unit tactics, etc, are shit they were dealing with as far back as the first Chechen war (and the second one too, they solved that one by just carpet-bombing the shit out of everything).

If they are still making the same mistakes 20+ years on, I think their problems might be beyond some basic restructuring at this point.

Think of this; NATO has left you alone and denied the no fly zone you've been requesting for a while, poland won't send you jets, apart from military supplies and humanitarian aid you are essentially left alone to fend by yourself against russia, some days ago your 6 nuclear reactors were at risk of being exposed before being taken by the russians, so what do? you blow up your own reactors, expose the whole of europe and some small parts of russia to radiation for months, probably years to come, say ruskis did it, thus dragging more countries into your fight and who knows what happens after that.

This is the key part that people who argue for a Russia coup deliberately ignore. There is no guarantee that removing Putin won't turn the entire country into Slav Libya or Iraq and the geographical reality of getting invaded is still true. If anything, it's truer now than before, so to a Russian general or oligarch considering treason, they can't be sure things will be fixed if they do the West's bidding. Especially when the West's word is total garbage anyways.

Zelensky isn't a bad guy, he's just in way over his head and had everybody pulling his strings, lying to him, and threatening him from the start. Without any real experience to fall back on, and likely nobody in government he could really trust, it was inevitable he'd end up as someone's patsy. Yes, he's a puppet (so are most European leaders), but he probably got into politics because he genuinely thought he could fix things in Ukraine.

Being turned into a pop culture hero by insincere faggots is probably the worst thing that could've happened to the guy in this situation. He doesn't need his ego tickled by Western homos encouraging him to larp as Eastern European Chuck Norris. He needs to find a way to come to terms with the Russkies before everybody under the age of 30 leaves Ukraine forever.

Yeah, Zelensky has to weigh who the bigger enemy is, Russia or the West giving him arms to get his people killed faster. Regardless of which one he picks, he has no leverage for either. He can't ally with Russia to surprise Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe in revenge for getting fucked and he can't get reliable help from the West either aside from weapons. Weapons are great, but given their desperate conscription, they're running out of personnel and real tactical leadership.

I was in a COP26 panel that turned into a straight up argument between scientists and political advisors with scientists saying get building nuclear now and the political advisors screeching that it would be election suicide to do so.

Japan will be getting natural gas from the Russians because they shut down all their nuclear plants. Biden is kind of writing them a pass because there's no alternative.

I believe it is much more sinister than that, rather than just shutting them down, European nuclear facilities are being outright demolished. EU faggots making their own nations weaker and thus more reliant on Russian energy... the implications of them doing that before a war kicks off, is not very good.
