His immediate reaction to picking up half of a broken coin is to say "this is probably used to open something, right?"

How the fuck would you reach that conclusion? It's literally just a coin. He somehow magically knows that the two pieces are used to operate a lift later in the game, before even reading the item description.

*edit*

Holy crap, he's really not trying to hide anything is he? As soon as he cleared out a fort that was part of a quest, he immediately beelined for the location of the quest giver.
I like how he looked through every part of the inventory scrolling through all his weapons and armor looking for it.

To be fair, looking at that myself, that was pretty much my first thought - maybe I'm just an autist who's played too much Resident Evil, but 'half of a medallion' screams 'I need to put two of these in a door to open it'.

I'd give the Roach the benefit of the doubt, but he's made it obvious this isn't him jumping to video game logic conclusions, with how much guide and handholding shit he's beeing doing already.

I absolutely love elden ring. But watching Phil play it makes it feel like the lamest game ever. We all know he has his "playthrough" plotted out now with preloaded excuses ready to go.

On the topic of whale behavior...
Thorax and GaryBKK are likely the same person. Both were heavily active in May and June of last year. Gary then remained active through July.
Gary then went dead, and tipped again in January.
Now both he and Thorax have tipped substantially again today.

So what exactly are we supposed to believe with this organic support? Two whales who originally appeared and whaled together went completely dead for almost a year, and then turned up together on the same day, randomly, in the middle of an Elden Ring playthrough.

Further, they're also quietly trolling Phil, because they got him exactly to the vest goal. I say that because they took him to $125 and then promptly went quiet again because they knew was sitting on $25 from OMM and he doesn't actually need any more tips to hit the goal, no matter what he says. Sure enough, the whale was correct. Phil then had the audacity to request more, but from his perspective, he often does this when the majority of money has come from one whale because he knows other people are 'sitting' on money.

Individuals just don't behave like this.
But moreover, what prompts a whale to say 'I haven't used those socks in a while, maybe I should do something under their name today.'
And what prompts Phil to say, 'This is natural and proof that so many people love me.' Aside from the money.
To anyone paying any attention, it makes his 'community' look insane.

I’m not very much versed in other lolcows so I am not sure if the practice is common or not.

What the fuck is up with whales having more than one sock? I understand boosting numbers of subs for Phils’s “goals” but why go out of your way to tip from 1-2 separate accounts from your main? Even in the case of being doxxed, why the need to tip from various accounts?

If Phil is aware of the owners of the socks. What’s the use? Is he that fragile that he needs to have different names tip him so he feels he has organic growth?

I know I made the biggest mistake, using logic even if it’s 50% logic in the DSPSphere

I don't know if it's just me, but those tips are clearly a response to Phil's tantrum in the previous Elden Ring stream.
It's like they prearranged those tips so Phil could play the game just beating enemies 25 levels below him, even though it's massively boring, and don't have to worry about tips.

Why? Well, they're called wheelchairs for a reason.

also there's the fact that normally phil doesn't pay attention to anything
the game can give him a key and say "this is for that door"
phil will read that then bleat out HUH WHAT IS THIS KEY FOR
then 10 minutes later OOOH THE KEY IS TO OPEN THIS DOOR HUH, I FIGURE IT OUT IM SO SMART

What's the point of playing a game like this if you fucking already know everything?

Same reason he "plays" WWE Champions. Easy mode winning so he can pretend he's not a loser for a little while. He's getting the happy bing bings and pretty colors, so that means he's good and definitely not bad and a big boy adult winner.

I’m just waiting for Elden ring bosses to step it up. Y’all slacking. Demon souls is laughing at you
Will happen he just has to hurry the fuck up. Drop the blind act and just dart towards objectives at this point since he clearly doesn't care about any sort of world building, lore, or environments. Just stroll through the fuckin woods and one shot the wildlife.

He needs to get out of these level one areas, but I'm afraid he's already overleveled for the Academy Area which is also easy as shit. In my 80 hours with the game, I haven't really hit a boss either that will skill check while simultaneously not be weak to some cheese strat, so the playthrough is still looking like a total snoozefest. On the brightside there are a lot of optional dungeons with twin bosses, many of which include crucible knight, so there may still be some salt left in the mines.

I would agree but this is also DSP who beat Sifu but had no idea how to do half the things they teach you in the begging, even better the opening credits are a tutorial, it hints how to beat each boss. It's very obvious and you can't progress unless you finish the tutorial. the second stream he claimed the game had a hidden tutorial that teaches you how to beat the boss. He played through this hidden tutorial and it still didn't register. Also like just now 20 hours in to horizon and didn't know weapons had stamina requirements.

DSP is the person who unironically needs "So this is your first videogame ever" tutorials.
