The ultimate Russian victory is long gone since it definitely didn’t involve dropping paratroopers into heavily guarded air bases who immediately get slaughtered.
Another VDV drop happened at Lvov and was just removed by a Babushka with a ladle. Source: The same Ukie accounts going on about the Kharkov counter-offensive and nuclear drops for the fifth day straight now.

Wonder when that Ukrainian army they're raising around Lviv is going to heroically swing into action

Fair enough, but you have legitimate reason for concern (and I applaud that) -- your average leftoid Amerimutt just wants to support Ukraine because Covid is ending and they need something new to feel outraged about. Unlike you, not everyone in America is Ukrainian-American, therefore our country's current obsession with defending them whilst being hostile towards Russia just seems so bizarre and astrourfed. Don't get me started on this new cult of personality worship for Zelinsky -- he effectively replaced Dr. Fauci.
I will powerlevel only enough to say I have a personal stake in what's happening in Ukraine, but the whole issue becomes so surreal when so many who purport to be pro-ukraine couldn't even find it on a map or tell you a goddamn thing about Ukrainian culture. It might seem gratifying at first that people are "on your side" but the truth is they don't really give a shit and only care because it's in the media right now and they don't care to know the nuances or history of the situation and will forget about it as soon as it's convenient to do so.

My whole life's experience has shown me that the majority of people think of all slavic people as lesser spin offs of Russia, so even if it would make me feel better to believe that a huge proportion of people suddenly care about Ukrainian independence, I can't bring myself to believe that it's anything deeper than the BLM trend most people forgot about after awhile.

All I'm left with is a feeling of disgust about everything. Very few in the west will ever give an actual shit about eastern and central Europe. That would be fine if they left well enough alone, but when people pretend to care and start to meddle it usually has more to do with how the situation will be beneficial to the west than the people in the east legitimately effected by the wars.

It does feel extremely astroturfed. It breaks my heart to hear my friends and family in the east say "it's just nice that someone gives a shit about us for once" when I know it's just bullshit.

Fake sincerity is the worst. I do hope things are okay for you, but stuff like that annoys me as well. People will virtue signal about any identity they think they can get more attention with.

IDK its risky jumping paratroopers into militia zones which could be anywhere. Some drunk slav and his friends with AK's could easily fuck them up. Invasions are not easy, defenders have an advantage even if they are green.

If Zelensky's capture causes this shit to end immediately, I am starting to lean towards supporting it. Fuck this bullshit already and let the Ukrainian people suffer no more.

Zelensky is just a puppet who runs his mouth after all. He can easily be replaced by a more competent quieter stooge by the U.S. like they've already decided on doing.

Since the media doesn't report his location anymore, I'm leaning towards the opinion he fled to Poland in the early days of the invasion.

I remember when Saddam was hanged.

His executionors were Shias that hated his ass and were mocking him the whole time while they prepared him to die and then hung him.
They shouted "Muqtada! Muqtada!" at him. It was at that moment that I understood the US had lost control of Iraq. I sort of had a feeling in 2004 when those Blackwater glowies got strung up in Fallujah. But watching people chant the name of a radical Shiite cleric while filming Saddam being hanged with a flip phone really drove it in.

The more I learn, the more I feel this image embodies the Slavic spirit

That's me all the time.

Why would they report his exact whereabouts during a fucking invasion?

Saying he was at least still in Ukraine would be a good propaganda piece "Commander on the front lines stands with his people" but curiously they say nothing, so I think he's actually in Poland.
