Yeah, it's a tranny but they made a good video on the failure of Doug Walker's Demo Reel so this might be interesting to watch.

It's a pretty good TLDR for all the drama, but once it hits the last 20 min and they start crying about how thecinemassacretruth reddit is trash (ain't wrong there. They are pretty gay, and so is like 99.9% of reddit) and how they are being transphobic, homophobic, and body shaming I pretty much zoned out. Up until that point though it was a pretty good video even if I disagreed with some of what they said.

If I were James I'd consider putting a more positive spin on AVGN. Start playing and talking about good and/or underrated games. He pulled it off with his Earthbound review whilst still keeping up the AVGN shtick and that was a great video. I know shitty games have been the MO since day one but at this point it could freshen things up a lot, bringing good older games to a larger audience. Its safe to say that a lot of AVGN viewers are to some extent retro game enthusiasts, why not recommend good games for us to try?

I found the Lady Emily video to be one of the best ones talking about the decline of Cinemassacre because it’s done from the perspective of a fan that doesn’t really enjoy a lot of the content anymore but also isn’t a Truther subhuman. I found what “she” had to say about the Truth sub to be kinda how I feel. The place started out as a place where people could openly talk about the issues going on with Cinemassacre and not get banned from the sub for it. Over time though, it devolved into a place where people obsess over hating James to the point of mental illness. Like yeah guys, Justin is fat and James is going bald and Haha No Time/Muh Kids/5:40 and the videos suck now and blah blah etc, we get it.
With the dumb remarks from “her” about Transphobia and “body shaming” being just that, dumb, I fully agree that these people need to move on and stop hiding behind “it’s constructive criticism we can do it if we want” when we all know Truth hasn’t been about constructive criticism for years. The place is just a cesspit for autists to make the same jokes that were funny for a week but that week turned into 3-4 years going on 5. I mean fuck look at RantGrumps for example. The Game Grumps have had WAAAAY worse controversies than James and RantGrumps is a far more tolerable place than CinemassacreTruth.

But yeah overall, I’d say it’s one of the best videos on the subject of Cinemassacre’s backlash/decline out there. They keep the tranny opinions to a minimum (All trannies are going to think negatively of “transphobia.” Any criticism of tranny shit will be met with a negative reaction, not much can be done about that) and they focus on the issues that the channel has been facing whilst also pointing out that the truthers are people with mental problems that kinda just need to move on.

It’s clear that I still like James and wish the best for him and say things like “I just want James to be happy and do things that make James happy.” And people generally have a positive reaction when I say things like that.
When people have said similar things on the Truth sub? They get downvoted to oblivion and mocked and accused of being an alt account of one of the screenwave guys.
Cinemassacre Truth is a place where people with different opinions aren’t allowed to be themselves and freely express how they feel. Oh wait, that sounds familiar…

My only real complaint about TCT is that they're running all of their best jokes into the fucking ground, but other than that I was surprised to find a community that humorous on le Reddit in 2022. I figured all of the humor had long ago been sucked out of it, and every now and then your typical Ledditor does get lost and stumble on TCT and bitch about Big Dick Mike's old comics or something but such incidents are few and far between.

Still wouldn't be terribly surprised if it got quarantined or banned though, humor on Reddit must come in one of two forms: self-referential 'inside jokes' about Reddit bullshit, or three-hundred comment pun chains about The Office or fucking capeshit, and if it exists outside of those forms it must be stomped out by jannies.

That’s my main issue. The place Pre 2018 actually used to be a good place. It’s all the same 5 jokes now though from people who have a personal hatred of James that typically stems from them being former fans that feel betrayed. You can find some decent discussion on there if you look hard, but most of the time it’s hypocrisy and insanity. Reddit as a whole needs to be shut down if I’m being completely honest.
