General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Haven't seen anyone talk about it so far but WACTOR (the company that doxxed their own talent a bit ago) seems to be brewing something.

Company fire sale?

shrek and onion by @Jamwes_art.jpg

Shrek sure is getting around these days.

Hope birthday, i have grown used to her model tbh, also subaru invaded the stream.
She's the most likeable EN to me.
Yeah, Irys has succeeded well, despite her model. She's super quirky and entertaining. Also when she fakes Baelz's voice I genuinely can't tell the difference.

As for the OBS thing, you guys are absolutely right. Software can fuck up and fail. I was perhaps too vengeful yesterday towards Notrushia and Niji for their screw-ups, or too far up my own ass.

Lately Area15 has been playing a ton of Sea of Thieves offstream, and a bit on stream.

Very entertaining, I'd love it if a trend of Sea of Thieves began within Hololive; I vaguely remember them playing a pirate game in 2020 centered entirely around PvP.
If Hololive has permissions to play Sea of Thieves (which seems incredibly likely with this stream being proof) I'm surprised Marine hasn't played it yet. It has good options to prevent stream snipers/stream harassments too.

Still bummed about Gen 5 not playing Sea of Thieves when they were sponsored by Microsoft to do that Collab stream. They even had it on their schedule but the stupid server was down. But I guess now Gen 3 could theoretically also have a full gen collab and it would be more fitting with Marine. Or UMISEA, if that isn't dead and buried yet.

Imagine spending 8 years in law school, only to roll into your first court case and finding out you're defending an anime girl

Vtuber lawyers are now a thing apparently

Maybe they can help the one fingernail snail from before and the girl from WACTOR. (...and take 90% of the settlement money like most of these firms do...) Pretty sure both of those cases would be easy wins, but idk what the court system is like in Nippon-land.

It looks like most of their work is around stuff like contracts and copyrights, not civil or criminal defense - though I suppose it could come to that if contracts get breached. But I'm guessing it's just a bunch of out-of-courtroom paperwork almost all of the time.

Been watching Fulgur lately and so far, he's definitely the tamest and least fanservice-y out of all the Nijimales.
During his Detroit streams, he was very vocal about not caring whether chat finds his options/the things he wants to do boring/bad and that they can fuck off if they don't like it. and has been very active in telling chat to read his rules if they're getting rowdy or heading into kindred territory.

Also I think the remaining NijiEN member that still hasn't drop their character yet (correct me if I'm wrong) and he's actually really really invested in building his story and slowly showing it to everyone to the point where even if he did drop his original schtick, he used to build up lore that fits his OOC personality (the cyborg-super solider but actually just an archivist and said it to mess with Vox thing).

He's really growing on me, sad to see his growth's the slowest out of Noctyx tbh.

I hope Nene is alright

The company gave me some firm guidance.
I again regretted the fact that some of the tracing was done.

What's worse. Umisea or Nijiscenario?
Both are cringe, but UmiSea was really something else.

A whole week of collabs that amounted to cute noises because of the language barrier, topped off by a song (which to this day hasn't seen a full release) that combined every Flanderised element of the girls and unironically used the term 'Poggers ocean'.

HoloTori would have been a lot better because Kiara and Reine could have actually made something of the collabs. On top of that, Kiara, Reine, and Subaru are more confident talking to others than Aqua, Ina, and Gura. But management chose numbers over chemistry.

NIjiScenario isn't good either, but the members themselves adopting it as some kind of punishment game new recruits have to go through as part of their induction made it ironically funny.

Also I think the remaining NijiEN member that still hasn't drop their character yet (correct me if I'm wrong)
He did, but he also didn't.

He said in his Debut 2.0 that he was just an 'Archivist' and that he loves reading, but when he met Vox, he short-circuited and became one of his old edgy D&D characters for some reason.

So he remains an edgelord around Vox to 'keep him on his toes' but is nice around literally everyone else. It was a pretty clever way to ret-con his Debut 1.0 whilst also telling Vox's fans that it's just a bit without actually breaking character.

On Saturdays, he shows off a new chapter of his story. He puts Trigger Warnings down at the bottom as due diligence (this is actually marked criteria at an Academic level now by the way, which is pretty scary), but is pretty openly telling stories of child abuse and suicide etc. I like what he's going for but only Yugo has really clicked with me so far.

Speaking of the high seas. Ban Hada just revealed her new outfit!

What's the reason to hate Umisea? That Corporate formed a group of corporate streamers?
A group created by the managament, who then forced its members to voice a short, animated cartoon without giving them any kind of support, and quickly forgot about the whole idea after fans decided it was rather cringe. There was no reason for such group to exist and forcing people to collab based on their lore of all things is retarded.
