Yes, that's my bad. The original MV is described as 'Short ver.' which implies (or implied) that a full MV is/was forthcoming.

But as @Just pretending said, it felt like management kind of dropped the project for one reason or another and so the full MV never came to pass. We are way past the sell-by date on it now.

If they wanted legs for a corporate collab unit, they should've went with Kiara, Reine, Westaboo Duck, and Mumei.

In my particular case, I didn't get diagnosed til I had flunked out of college. I'm on the higher end of the bell curve (95+ percentile) so I zoomed through public high school with it being a complete joke. But as such, when I landed in a prestigious university, I discovered I had learned absolutely zero study skills throughout my entire life. And with an undiagnosed 'learning disorder' to contend with, I very quickly learned a 5-figure lesson in how unprepared I was for college. Smarts don't mean much if you have no fucking clue how to apply them.

But yea, a lot of Calli's habits suddenly make a lot of sense when viewed through the lens of "She's got ADHD". Not an excuse, exactly as you say. But definitely a modifies the way you view it all.

I was also properly diagnosed with ADHD. It was a really embugerance for my life. However I recently cut out sugar and gluten from my diet due to also getting diagnosed with Coeliac. And when I cut out gluten and sugar within a month my ADHD symptoms vanished. I can focus more, remain on task and organaise myself properly. It was a real life changer. It could be something those with ADHD look into.

I can understand all your reasons for not liking UMISEA. While I still like the concept of it, there were significant problems with how it was rolled out. If the girls approached one another before corporate and collaborated on and off for a while it would come off far better. Besides it being corporate mandated, another problem with UMISEA was that they didn't have a Kiara - someone who had leadership and a take charge mentality. UMISEA consists of essentially four extreme introverts who would never organize anything like this on their own accord. Not knocking any of the members, they just didn't have that extra thing Kiara and to a lesser extent Subaru and Reine bring to Holobirds.

Now, if they had incorporated Nene into the group it might have been a bit different. Nene has preestablished ties with Ina and a Kiara-ish personality, I think it would have worked better.

Also, just to chime in, MiComet is also a corpo unit that keep getting match up together because outside corpo keep requesting them together, and it turn out great. It doesn't matter how it come to be, only how much dynamic the members of the group got when they're performing together imo.

Wait, Marine is an introvert now? I thought she is one of the more extrovert Holomems. Also, do people really think the dynamics between them were forced? I'm quite sure both Gura and Ina have mentioned wanting to collab with Marine, so Aqua's participation is the only one I would say it's a little forced.

Anyway, I was never under the impression that people somehow hate the Umisea collab streams, I thought it was the best thing that came out of the group. It was also when the JP Holomems finally get to learn of Gura's... more yabai side.

Umisea had higher highs and lower lows, the Marine/Aqua/Gura stream interactions were great, adding Chloe would be great too. They should have done more group fun streams
The animation and song were pretty bad, they should have just given Marine the money to get her shorts animator to make some group stuff. Her shorts are the best imo, better than Hologra.

I've seen this comment a few times and can't disagree more. Kiara is handicapped by both her chicken voice and her model. Both the zelda sword and shield and the tiny white hat are dumb and most of all that huge sideways open mouth pose is very off-putting. Her "papa" fucked her over hard imo.

I'm not against corpo units as a whole, but Cover went full retard here. They took Marine (un-seiso all-rounder), Aqua (seiso FPS player with an actual fucking social phobia), Ina (introverted seiso-ish artist) and Gura (gamer, good singer, keeps playing innocent), then threw them together and said "you're a shark, you're a pirate, you're a cthulhu and you... you have a liquid-sounding name, now do stuff". It would be a completely different story if they formed a unit out of girls who are good at drawing (for example Marine, Ina, Sana who? and Iofi) or those good at a specific type of games, like FPS team. That way, members would actually be inclined to collab with each other as a group. UmiSea failed because there's nothing that would connect its members besides their lore, which only serves as a base for memes and jokes because nobody treats THE LORE seriously.

You can argue if that's true or not, but that's what was said. Bringing them back for Aqua's concert isn't inappropriate, but it also isn't an indicator that they're still actively pursuing a means to make it a 'thing'. No one has thought about UmiSea since shortly after their week of collabs.

Corpo units aren't inherently negative, but I think the way UmiSea was rolled out was very synthetic and clearly not coming from a place of mutual desire between the members to be there. Those song lyrics are not things I feel Gura or Ina would greenlight if they had basically any say at all.

Hard agree and I'm surprised it's not mentioned enough. Pretty neutral towards her mostly because I never watch her because I really can't stand her voice and her energy's too overbearing sometimes too, but the thing that pushes me even more to avoid watching her is her design. Two hats, the awkward skirt length, the sneakers that don't really match the theme of her outfit as a whole and looks misplaced. I like Huke but I just really can't behind his design for Kiara.

I felt Umisea was fine because we got a fun Minecraft stream out of it.
The Mario Party stream was a disaster but I fully blame the game and not the girls for that. A few of them were stuck running in a circle due to horrible map design and well, it's just a shit mario party. If All Stars had been out I imagine it would've been great.

I agree it would've been better if they thought up a group with more chemistry instead of 4 introverts, but it wasn't bad. And any attempt to bridge JP and EN is welcome in my book, especially if its Gura.
