They've been making those shitbox UAZ vans almost completely unchanged since the early 1950s I think. "Buchanka" is the ruskie nickname for them, roughly translates to something like bread box iirc. Fairly certain you could still get one with a carbureted motor up until a few years ago.
1965, to be more precise (early prototypes come from late 50s, but they looked differently). They don't rust quite as much as they used to back in the day, but otherwise it's the same vehicle, with some QoL improvements. And I think it's fine - it's really cheap and does its job reasonably fine, so no need to mess with it. The more complex you make something, the more likely it is to fail, especially in war.

I gave this invasion 5 stars just for the memes.

The Russians have obviously been trying to limit civilian causalities and I think it's because they do care about the innocent people caught in the middle. Which is more than you could say for the Jewish puppet who will soon be executed after a show trial.
Yes, you've already sperged out numerous times about how much you hate him and what you'd do if you got your hands on him personally. It's really gay, by the way.

You can't make this shit up!

"The son of a soldier of the #AZOV regiment, who’s currently defending #Mariupol, recorded an appeal to Ukrainians. He’s 8 y.o. and that’s how long his father, Stepan, has been in the war. Today in Ukraine everyone is fighting for freedom. #StopRussia #UkraineRussiaWar"

Now, I'm not so naïve as to not realize that propaganda is part and parcel of war, but this video really takes "My 8 year old"/"Woke Toddler" posting to new heights. The bar has been raised, Blue Checkmark Twitterbros...It's time to rev up those accounts and git gud lest you be left in the dust.

That aside, who else has inadvertently picked up the Cyrillic alphabet just by lurking on this thread since the start of the war?

"Rye bread loaf", actually. They're uncomfortable as hell (shock absorbers? What are those?) but literally unkillable and can be jury-rigged with a shoestring, a leather waistbelt and a prayer.
I call bullshit, it was created by godless commies there's no such thing as prayer.

I gotta hand it to them, military VW Type 2s are something that fucks pretty hard in terms of aesthetics.

Ukraine needs a few of these, conscript men with long surfer hair, and make them blast Greta Van Fleet down the road. They'll be in Moscow in 5 days.
I don't know why but in some circumstances those old Volkswagens could be quite scary.

Imagine if some kid did this in America and wanted to defend his family and nation, the screeching by libtards and woke progressives and all those gun control groups would be reeeing for eternity.

Oh wait there was one.

I was thinking you know.

Remember when Reagan's neocon cocksuckers like Donald Rumsfeld were fear mongering over the Soviets being super duper dangerous and bad and were like the "Evil Empire" just so they could increase the military defense budget.

How would those cocksuckers and chickenhawks be able to scare the public in today's era when pictures are coming out of the Russian Military using FUCKING HIPPY VANS to invade other nations. I mean sure defend America and all that but pretty hard to reconcile super advanced evil empire with this shit.

The uniparty would have to make sure the media never shows this to the American people lol.
In that case the Soviet Union would still be around because it wouldn't have bankrupted itself trying to match Ronnie Raygun's military spending

Stop trying to be clever

Pretty much, yep. They've had simple EFI motors for a while now actually.

The human toll of Russia's invasion of Ukraine is returning to Mother Russia, one dead son at a time. And parents are not happy at all with the tale told of why their loved ones died. The number and distribution of these funerals will only increase with time.

Don't worry, it was all worth it moms and dads. This threat on their doorstep HAD to be taken down. 🙄
