Holy shit America is closing all embassies and consulates.

I doubt they will actually leave. There are already talks of nationalizing the property of companies that left the country. Whatever damage from these boycott calls may be, I bet it's gonna be less damaging than losing an entire branch.

EMBRACE NEUTRALITY, ACCEPT CRIMEA IS RUSSIAN CLAY AND RECOGNISE THE INDEPENDENCE OF DONETSK AND LUHANSK AND THERE WILL BE AN END TO THE HORROR

Then again, how much of the lethal aid is sexy state-of-the-art toys, and how much of it is hand-me-downs?
In a conflict like this, the vast majority of it is going to come from "inventory clearance". Either hand-me-downs from the warehouses that they want off the books. Or things they think they can get replaced by state-of-the-art new toys during or after the conflict. Everyone will "play" a situation like this. Congress will at the moment sign off to just about anything in the name of fighting Russians. Defense companies and Eastern European countries can see this. So the "pressure" to discard old fighters from certain european countries with the expectation that will be replaced on excellent political and financial terms by brand new fighters.

>start a war to stop war
60 billion IQ 9D chess from the russniggers, how can westoids ever compete?
yes?
if mexico or canada would suddenly start pushing for joining the warsaw pact and getting nukes, what would you expect the USA to do? they'd do anything that's not officially labeled a war to protect their sovereignty and local interest. otherwise you'd have to label NATO encroaching on russia economically and geographically some form of war too.

"war" is what you get after ukraine joins nato and russia is so boxed in there are only extreme moves left.

We have a great deal of flexibility in our energy policy we haven't really used much. We can quite simply rev up coal for electrical generation and other purposes and divert the petroleum we free up. We can go nuclear. We can convert coal into fuel. We can convert corn into fuel (although at present rates this is the biggest scam going on). We can turn on the pump and consume our own oil
except you forget all of this takes time, time where people are gonna eat a lot of shit, meaning they get so pissed they blame whoever's in charge and vote for someone who promises do to the exact opposite of their interest and fix everything (even if the direction is already said and it's only a matter of time). depending how shit things are gonna get they skip the voting and cancel the current mandate by any means possible outright.

You think they've been informed? Most probably haven't, they're going minimum on this shit, by the end of this they're probably stick to numbers lower than 2k.
I can't even recall any russian numbers off the top of my head aside from one group going only 2 died on the first day which is, lmfao yeah right.

Bonus funny

It's pretty easy to guess why they're freaked out so much. We already know they're up to their necks in dirty dealings with Ukraine, and that's just what evidence we've actually seen. I can only imagine how much more there is to see, and documents like that have an interesting tendency to leak to the world at large when corrupt (and/or puppet) governments get replaced by another corrupt (and/or puppet) government controlled by ideologically opposed people.
it would be memoryholed by the media anyway, just like tara reade or hunter's notebook.

they're freaked because putin took their playbook and shat in it. remember the whole nato-russia thing has been going on for decades, where they assumed russia either be so weak/subverted they just gonna take it out of fear or knowing they can't do anything about it.

it's like cornering a wounded animal and be surprised it goes all out, which has pretty much their response so far. "nooo, how can you do something like start a military conflict in CURRENT YEAR? that would be BAD!?!", paired with all the indignation and kneejerks you'd expect.
