In likeliest bogus story of the day verified twitter accounts and news sites are sharing Ukrainian reports that Major General Geramisov, nephew of chief of staff Geramisov, has been killed near Kharkiv

Hopefully Russian sources will be able to confirm or deny in the next few days
>Chief of Staff of 41st Army picked off by a sniper
>Deputy Commander of 41st Army killed organizing a defense 3 days later
(according to RUMINT, at least)
Say what you will about Russian generals but they don't hide in Moscow like ours hide in the Pentagon.

Well I guess there's no other choice but to pack them off to a hostile foreign country.
More than 150.000 Ukrainians citizens have already fled into Russia since the start of the year without major incident. Maybe they're afraid that some of their brave Azov fighters in dresses will be found out if they enter Russia.

Seems like that convoy has been there a very long time. Could be fuel shortages. Heck, Russia can't even refuel Korean airliners coming to Moscow. Not like Russia doesn't produce plenty of oil. Would think refining capability is there. Just don't get it.

You don't like to keep a convoy stationary for any length of time. Makes attacking it easier.

We barely know a thing of what's happening on the ground.

They could be settling in to have a staging area of operations or maybe they're stalled and are going to get anhilated by the Ghost of Kiev, Samuyil Hydrenko and Georgi "The Fentanyl of kiev" Floydenko

because they're at the opposite end of the country you geographically illiterate retard
It's only far if you're trying to ram a 60 mile convoy from pripyat to Kiev.
Once civilians have left the encirclement it's just as easy to get to Warsaw as it is to get to Minsk.
I think we should be honest here and admit that this is a struggle about either side using the civilians as leverage, and Russia seizing the chance to process all fighting age Ukrainian men

Well at least you're committed to your faggotry, or stupidity.
That's not what your mom said. :smug:

I heard they had big problems with shitty Chinese parts. No idea how true this is, but probably not entirely untrue, and you've gotta think a lot of that maintenance budget was embezzled anyway. A lot of armies use extremely ancient trucks for logistics, tends to be low priority for spending. But if they're properly maintained there's no reason a 1974 model KAMAZ shouldn't still be reliable - the Brits are still operating vehicles from the middle of the last century. This is a major embarrassment for Rooski armed forces, somebody's gonna have his ass kicked into orbit.

This was always a stupid analysis, and is probably based on US Army doctrine where we overkill when it comes to available supplies. The Russian Army usually does the exact opposite, under supplies and tells its troops to deal with it locally. Usually by looting local areas.
Gee, sort of like the Nazis, in their occupied territories, especially Russia.

Undersupplying the troops and expecting them to loot as a doctrine is counter-productive. First, takes troops away from combat. Second, what is taken will only benefit those doing the taking and their immediate units. What about troops in areas where the pickings are slim? Third, when the word gets out people will hide and/or poison food, then leave. Looters could get sick/die. Fourth, you want to provide your troops a reasonably balanced diet. Marshal Zhukov himself said one full soldier is worth five hungry ones. Also keep in mind that not all supplies may be available in all areas. Sure not going to be able to find much ammunition for artillery, etc. Likely not going to be able to find many electronic parts in most areas.

From time to time there will be supply problems. You manage as best you can, may need to forage. But as a doctrine taking from the populace is not wise.

Better to oversupply than undersupply the troops.

Hey guys, did you know KF is being ‘monitored’ by this guy
