They'd only have a dim idea of Fuentes as a person with a noticeable following with some associations in mainstream politics who vaguely represents some of their ideas, and is attacked by the same people who attacked them back in the day.

Their generation of race-realists produced an impressive body of work, but these were ideas guys who never really developed a worthwhile praxis. It was the paleoconservative non-strategy: Shrug, hold our noses to vote Republican again as the lesser of two evils, and hope we can finally nip at their heels enough to convince them to oppose the demographic replacement of their only reliable voting bloc (for example, I like a lot of what Pat Buchanan wrote, but he told his supporters to re-elect Dubya). Nick espouses a bastardized, lower-IQ version of that philosophy.

Ultimately, they're old men who would like to leave life optimistic about their legacy. They went into AFPAC III thinking they would be vindicated. I can only imagine what they're feeling now.
