No source but I swear if this whole war was "Recongize Donbass and Crimea", and the rest of Ukraine ends up not being annexed or puppeted, this really is Clown World.
Saying "recognize Donbass" is just the start of a far more complicated discussion over what the borders of Donbass are or should be. The Russians are not likely to accept the frontlines in the area before the war as the borders of those republics.

Since mid-2016. But those things (Ravens) are a joke.
Huh, OK, first I'm hearing of it, I legitimately thought Ukraine had zero drones other than the TB2s. Looking up articles, I can't find anything though, except for mentions of US drones spying on shit happening in the area, which seems a tad different to Ukraine operating them.

I wouldn't take ASB as a serious source. Anything more official or a clip of the interview in question?

I've been using this Finnish map.

It's pretty accurate and quickly updated, but there are a few odd things about it. As far as I know, Russia still controls Konotop and are still at the outskirts of Voznosensk yet this map doesn't reflect that.
The authorities at Konotop supposedly negotiated with the Russians to become an "open city". Thus they are technically still under Ukrainian control.

"According to the head of the region, there is an agreement that there will be no mutual provocations.
'We will not shoot at them. They will remain in their positions. Unobstructed passage of public transport and services, ambulances, food, humanitarian goods will be provided,' Zhyvytskyi added."

You can read this for more info on the 2016 deployment and the issues associated with it. I would not consider the Ravens meaningful UAVs in 2021. They were something given to Ukraine in 2016 because they wanted to give them something.

Russian MoD has released some (inflated) numbers concerning recent operations:
According to them since the beginning they have destroyed: 2,482 military facilities including 87 command and communication posts, 124 anti-aircraft missile systems and 79 radar stations. Also they report destroying 866 tanks and armored vehicles, 91 multiple launch rocket systems, 317 artillery pieces and mortars, 634 military vehicles and 81 UAVs.
Not as inflated as Ukraine's numbers but still inflated.

I am being asked for PrOoF that Ukrainians committed atrocities against ethnic Russians in Ukraine, within the last 8 years. Can anyone help out? - I found a Russian website with some stuff but the video link on it doesn't work.

Fox News has a segment on tens of thousands of foreign volunteers arriving to fight for Ukraine and it could be as many as 100,000 soon. What would the logistics be for Ukraine in feeding, housing and equipping these thousands of foreign volunteers, most of who don't speak Ukrainian and if there is a smidgen of truth to it, could this be an end run around NATO? Just wondering.
"Haha, we're such badass volunteers the general even called us 'the expendables'."

It's probably a deep fake of that VC guy getting shot in the head by a South Vietnamese officer or something.

Now that's what you call an INACTION movie!

They have balls, I give them that. Earlier the mayor of Kremennaya was accused of collaborationism and executed for attempting to do the same, although the tone of the article reads like jingoist pro-Russian sensationalism.

I've been a bit down in the dumps this morning because of our terrible loss of our first thread so I've been reading war poems. They make me feel more than any of the war videos can because I am just so deep. This one is my favourite. What is your favourite war poem? Why is modern poetry so gay and cringe and old poetry so based and redpilled? Do you have better war poems in your own country/language?

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of tired, outstripped Five-Nines that dropped behind.

Gas! Gas! Quick, boys!–An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And flound'ring like a man in fire or lime...
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.

If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,–
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori.

And yes this is relevant, fuck you.

Never. Russia has never actually seriously entertained the thought of launching nukes and is desperately reliant on them as a bluff. Just see the insane amount of "close calls" regarding Russia which make it blatantly obvious that despite the warmongering rhetoric, they aren't quite that suicidal. It's an unspoken rule of nuclear powers that "you back off when I yell nuke", which would cause mass chaos if another nuclear power were to actually call a nuclear power's bluff because nobody actually wants to be the one to start the nuclear shitshow.

If any Russian leader is stupid enough to demand nuclear war, he either gets domed by his second-in-command or a civil war/internal struggle for power breaks out.
Russia should use a nuke...just not on Ukraine. - Pick some shit country that isn't involved at all, make a strike on its capital, pour encourager.

I saw one of ASB's commenters posting a link to a vid that compiled various news coverages on that. I'll try to find it.

Interesting, thanks. If more cities and towns take a similar route, then I hope that they put a special marking on them to denote that.

That's pretty much what was originally wanted. Some (including me) speculated that since this erupted into a full war, Russia was going to claim everything east of the Dnieper. There's something Russia could do in all of this which would make things really awkward for Ukraine, but I don't see them doing it due to external politics. That is demanding that the region north of the Azov sea becomes an independent nation too. This would make things really difficult politically for both the AZOV militia and the Ukrainian government.

That used to be a basic negotiation tactic, you start off with a big demand then work your way down to the things you actually wanted. I think a lot of here agree that the occupation of Ukraine would be near impossible for the Russians, so either the Russians lost their minds or Crimea and the two new "independent" Republics were the goals all along.
