Pathology is a subspecialty of medicine. After receiving an MD, one must complete a residency in pathology, which is usually another 4-5 years. This is the minimum education required for board certification in the discipline.

A speech language pathologist is not a medical doctor. It's a master's-level degree, meaning it's a two year program.

If she doesn't care about it that's fine of course, not everyone wants to do the whole youtuber ring-light and ton of make-up thing. Sierra’s mother is very interested in family history and posts plenty of photos of both Sierra’s early life and her family’s lives for generations. Not a single mention of anything to do with Mohawk culture. It’s all “here’s my great-great aunt from Ireland!” The only culture Sierra expressed an obvious interest in as an adolescent was Glorious Nippon Desu, with multiple photos of her in kimonos or geisha costumes and a trip there in her teen years.


None of this is changing my mind that this Native American LARP wasn’t family lore she grew up truly believing.
