What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

I've had completely illegitimate subscriptions on my feed, ones I did not consent to, falls in line with that one controversy about artificially boosted exposure.

I've had this happen too and sometimes they're an extremely small channel with a completely random assortment of videos, like a fake channel made solely to fill up space.

Is this "shadow unsubscribing" thing actually A Thing? I've seen people on multiple channels mention it, but I've never actually heard of it in person.

I've never been shadow unsubscribed, but I have experienced instances of my new video notifications not being sent. This is usually for channels that upload multiple times a day: I'll see one of their videos in my feed, but I have to physically visit their channel to notice that they uploaded several other videos that same day which I didn't see yet. This happens with Louis Rossmann's videos, as I subscribe to his content and only see one upload in my feed at a time, despite how he usually has frequent uploads daily.

• Bionic Pig. I mentioned him in the Least Favorite Youtuber thread but he became bit of an annoying moral fag.. It wasn't one video that did it, it was an entire channel; the one he shares with ElvisTheAlien, alienbacon.
  
  
• Ryan Hollinger. This is mostly for petty reasons but I get super annoyed with Youtubers who ask for likes and subs and shit before the end of the video. When Ryan began doing this, I dropped him. I believe he began doing it in this video.

While not some fan of his to began with, if his videos played on auto I'd leave them on for noise, finding myself in the same import store as Metal Jesus Rocks once five or six years ago made me realize he was just a mindless consumerist tool (I know it's stating the obvious).

Listening to him have a back and forth with the clerk who doesn't really want to spend all afternoon talking to some long haired Lurch mother fucker try to haggle himself some "hIdDeN gEmS" or some shit was just unbearable, especially when he's just buying this shit to flex to other doughy boy fat bodies, not because he appreciates it and wants to play it.

Edit: it's still perfectly watchable, but I wish he'd either drop the "Cinema Snob" name (he won't) or went back to the old style of videos and trashed the stuff he watched.

Yeah, I noticed that too. While he still puts out episodes about a shitty movie every now and again, it does seem like he's reviewing very select movies and not stuff that someone can just watch and laugh at how stupid the movie is

Already mentioned earlier in the thread but it really was lame to see him drop off. Back in the day before the face reveal, he was like a hidden gem. He got a lot of views but I didn't see any other YouTuber ever mention him and just happened upon him, his videos were hilarious and his deadpan reactions to an awful horror game or random obscure shit I never seen anyone else play was great. First time I ever seen him mentioned by someone else was during the Fine Bros controversy over them trying to get the rights to the word "React", where I think Keemstar mentioned his video on it in his video. Not long after that was mentions of him having a Snapchat and that's where his face reveal was, then the official face reveal video on his channel. After that it just slowly went downhill, mainly around 2019. As for the video that made me stop watching him, it was his awful response to the iCuckzzz drama, where he called people incels for caring about Ian being a cuck, while he himself shit on ProJared for his fiasco. There was also his EDP445 video where iirc he said his name aloud and was like "Really? Naming yourself Eat Dat Pussy?" or something along those lines, lacking complete self awareness to the kind of jokes he spouts every video. Then he donated to BLM during 2020 and became a shitty react streamer, always hunched over and sounding bored with life, what a bummer. Also not related but he doesn't look good with the super long hair. He used to have a nice haircut, then he grew it out to a mid 2000s emo hairstyle, now he looks like a greasy hippie. It's ridiculous people compare him to Jesus.

It's baffling people forgave and forgot all about that almost immediately yet CallmeCarson got cancelled to oblivion over a 2 year age gap. No one also brings up how he tried to bring the minor to the UK and wanted to get him a fake ID to get into a bar, where I'm sure he wouldn't have tried anything right?

For example the channel Stop Drop and Retro recently did a video about the Intellivision Amico where half the video was him reeeing about Doug Tennaple(A fucking unpaid consultant on a single game that was supposedly in development).

Unfortunately yes. I've had this happen, repeatedly, on a handful of channels I subscribe to. Not seeing notifications is bad enough, but ever since this behavior started happening I made sure to bookmark every channel I like. I think that the first time it happened was about four years ago. Some people claim that it has to do with you not interacting with the channel, or a lack of updates from the channel holder, but those certainly weren't the case for me.
