Well, NATO itself is too big to be useful, and as this conflict shows, NATO equipment and training alone is more than enough to be on par with Russian "Army". Imagine if Ukraine had modern SAMs and planes, the war would be over by now,

They believed their own propaganda and were thinking that Ukraine will welcome its "liberators" with open arms.
I think they were going off the assumption they would roll over like Georgia '08 which was notable in the fact the Russians were on the defensive at the start of that war then immediately destroyed the entire Georgian military within 96 hours all with a single tunnel into Georgia.

I agree with this, but he is kind of the best he can get out of NATO at the moment without them declaring war on Russia.

Him rejecting them is a play, I doubt he ever truely thought he could join while Russia is in his territory. But you don't start negotiations with what you really want, you always ask for more and get negotiated back

A lot of people get all Autistic at him for flipflopping etc, But he's doing basically exactly what he needs to do to get the 'west' on his side.

If he just sits in Kyiv Kiev and posts BS Twitter shit all day, but that leads to him getting more bodies/arms to throw at the Russians I think he is fine with it. It's not like he's going to go to ambush Russian logistics himself.

That video is hilarious considering they're elderly drivers tbh. They stop just before those gates so Russians think they're suicide bombers and then instead of reversing the fuck out of the way and speeding off they just wait there to be blown to pieces.

This shit right here is why there's so little footage of the invasion right now. Whenever someone is retarded enough to get within firing line of the tanks to record, guess what happens.

You wanted total war, now you have it Ukraine.

Turning every civilian into a fighter was a evil plan.
This makes me so sad.
The Ukrainian people have been fooled, they think they defend their independent nation against the agression of those who ruled over them for hundreds of years and genocided them a hundred years ago.
In reality, their government was on the best way to make Ukraine a puppet state of the EU and America.
After this process started, there were only two options: puppet of the west or puppet of Russia.
If the average Ukrainian was shown what the west stands for, from black lives matter over LGBT to the abolition of nation-states, they would probably prefer being a Russian puppet.

I did not see a Z on the armoured vehicle or any of the vehicles that drove by and Ukraine forces arrived very quickly after those 'Russians' were gone.
But then again the quality of the video is too low to see exactly who's side it was. They need to be punished for this.

I think they were going off the assumption they would roll over like Georgia '08 which was notable in the fact the Russians were on the defensive at the start of that war then immediately destroyed the entire Georgian military within 96 hours all with a single tunnel into Georgia.
Yet there was no riot police used in Georgia '08. The plan for blitzcringe seemed like that:
1) VDV captures the airfield near Kiev and rushes to capture the city (that alone is fucking delusional. If there is even a slightest bit of resistance, you won't be able to land and unload planes. One good howitzer salvo and tarmac will be unusable for days/weeks);
2) Simultaneously, sleeper cells in Kiev are activated and attempt to capture/kill high-ranking officials (in reality it seems that cells were neutralized/hijacked by SBU);
3) Riot police moves in to help with possible civil unrest (turned out that fancy riot gear doesn't protect you from bullets you fucking pig)
4) Victory.

I like how all myths about Russian armed forces are being debunked simultaneously: VDV is literally inferior version of the regular infantry, Russian ECM is nowhere to be found, Chechens are nowhere to be found, police spetznaz is only good at beating unarmed civvies.

Yeah, Ukraine doesn't really need to be in NATO but Zelensky pretends the NATO membership is important, thus he can get more leverage at negotiations,

I don't get why did Russia attempt to blitzkrieg when everyone knew that they were very likely going to attack and in what route. The point of blitzkrieg is to have zero time for the other side to react, otherwise you get trapped on their turf and the war starts to grind without an established supply lines.
Fun fact, Blitzkrieg doesn't exist. It's a term that got popular through its use by Anglo-speaking journalists, and German doctrine didn't reference it. The famous "Blitzkrieg" was just existing military doctrine from the 19th century adapted to mid-20th century technology.
Imagine if Ukraine had modern SAMs and planes, the war would be over by now,
Even with planes and pilots available, they'd most likely need to fly them off other countries. There's also Russian's own SHORAD threat.
However it seems Russia is resorting to low-level flying precisely because they still fear the Ukrainian SAM threat, so I'm not sure they desperately need more SAMs when MANPADS seem to be what's driving their AA kill count.
I have no idea what's going on when it comes to drones, but in Desert Storm the US used decoy drones as sacrificial targets to get defenses to fire on them and betray their positions. If Ukrainian forces are having success with drone strikes on columns I wonder if sending them a good number of decoys would help them expand drone operations.
