Fun fact, Blitzkrieg doesn't exist. It's a term that got popular through its use by Anglo-speaking journalists, and German doctrine didn't reference it. The famous "Blitzkrieg" was just existing military doctrine from the 19th century adapted to mid-20th century technology.

Russia is generationally ruined, savings are worthless, amenities and trade are shut off. This isn’t the decision of a rational actor, sucks that we suffer too but Russia will experience 100x worse.

The stupidity and incompetence of the American regime cannot be understated. They go around making decisions without the least bit of thought and come up with plans such as begging the Saudis and trying to mend relations with Venezuela and Iran. The Saudis have already said fuck you and the Venezuelan oil industry is so completely fucked up it would take years to get back to a place where it could even begin to make up for Russia and the Iranians had one of their national heroes assassinated by the Americans two years ago. That's not even to mention that Venezuela and Iran are both Russian allies and that Israel probably would be pissed off and make any deal with Iran untenable. Meanwhile America sits on the largest source of untapped oil in the world and no one is even mentioning increasing drilling. They are going to wreck our economies and ruin the lives of average people so they can play bad ass with Russia in a war that their side is going to lose anyway. Just hysterical madness.

They're wrecking our economies and ruining our lives so that our political class can skim money off the top of Russia's gas industry via Ukrainian pipelines.

I think another thing here is that somebody in the US military/security apparatus has their eye on Sevastopol and thinks they can turn it into an American naval base. Note that every time Ukraine gets a government that's willing to negotiate with Russia to extend their lease there, we have it overthrown. I wonder if the dam Ukraine built to starve out the population of the Crimean Peninsula was done with US funds and consultants.
