Seriously, what is this gay Jewish 'equity'? I hear it slung around like so much excrement at an Indian festival, but what does this word, spewed by loose toothed morons actually mean?
The concept of equality didn't net people what they wanted, which was equality of outcome. Equity is more or less about forcing equality on someone or something by dragging down the group or things that are successful and making it no better than the least common denominator. There are also more nefarious meanings behind it that I'm sure you and others have seen since before you even started hearing the phrase. It's sold like a product to schools, companies, and governments -but does nothing but lower the quality of everything.

So with the banning of Russian energy by the US but not Europe, all that does is drive up the cost. The energy is still bought and paid for as the US must get it's energy requirements from somewhere but its that we are not funding Putin's War directly. As a result, Russia fills in the gap left by the Americans AND get more money for it.

If I am retarded, please tell me.

Reminds me of this Kurt Vonnegut short story I read in high school English class.

You guys remember that Keystone XL was just a more direct route for the existing Keystone pipeline to take, that the oil it would have carried is from Canada and not domestic, and that we're still using that oil anyway because it's already moving by train, right? The dearth on new domestic production Biden inflicted is separate, and more of a problem.
To split hairs some more Keystone XL would also increase capacity railways are starting to get bottlenecked over. Admittedly not by much, but still important given that capacity can be quickly met thanks to how oil sands operations work.

A critical piece missing from all the discussion today too is that several US refineries rely on the heavy crude blends Russia supplies - they simply aren't tailored to refine the lighter stuff coming out of shale fracking. It's why those suggestions of reconciling with Venezuela are on the table (similar crude with their oil sands) and why this whole thing pisses me off. You have immediate access to the oil needed via Alberta, a supply which can be ratcheted up faster than praying to OPEC and sucking Saudi cock, and yet here we are watching the adults in charge larp the Ancien Regime and pretend everything is fine.

I'd laugh my ass off getting to speedrun the Carter era if it wasn't so damn worrying.

The rank and file peasant class climate change cultists certainly fit this description, but I've always wondered if the elites that espouse this shit have any genuine belief in it at all. None of them seem to lead lives of anything other than grotesque excess. John Kerry's private jet usage is widely derided, but they all do shit like that and often own multiple huge estates, fleets of cars, etc.. I don't think they want civilization to collapse totally, but they do seem to want to dramatically restrict access to anything approaching a first world standard of living to everyone other than a tiny handful of people. I'm not sure how they plan on producing or maintaining their luxuries in a world full to the brim with starving filthy plebs living in squalor though.

The elites, especially the 1%ers, are already drunk the fate accompli doomsday kool aid bullshit where they are dead set on the notion that the planet's environment is at a breaking point and that a culling is "necessary" to "reset" the Earth. A notion that also feeds into their sick fuck side of wanting to explicitly bring back the days of feudalism and serfs and get rid of that pesky "democracy" that led to Donald Trump getting elected.

The elites have spent the last 10-20 years building up their doomsday bunkers and walled off fiefdoms away from the rabble that will be staffed by private security and servant staff who will gladly give up their freedom and basic human rights in exchange for a bed and three meals a day in the slave quarters of the elites when the elites bring about their Final Solution 21st Century Edition genocide.

Their paranoia ironically is going to lead to fait accompli: basically creating the very apocalypse they are "trying to avert" with their policies because of their desire to make sure when their self-inflicted apocalypse happens, they want to make damn sure only they and their hand picked slaves survive.

Got to make it worthwhile for Putin and friends to profit off of destroying Russia for globohomo supremacy somehow. Especially since it's clear as day that this is being done to take heat off of Blackface Hitler Trudeau and how the WEF were going to turn Canada into 1984 if not for the huge backlash it created that Blackface Hitler and the WEF couldn't bury.

"Equity" is the SJW doublespeak for "Yes I find it funny to openly steal everything from the white man, but especially straight white men and make it legal to engage in blood libel against them and I'm tired of pretending it's not funny when I do it!"

What is it with Dinosaurs and Ice Cream?
It's the modern day version of the whole "cake" part of "let them eat cake".

Unless you are buying generic store brand ice cream or regional mom and pop brand ice cream, it's common to fucking pay out the ass big bucks for name brand ice cream and double/triple that for the "gourmet" brands IE Ben and Jerry's and other "fancy" ice cream.

The later of which is a status symbol for the rich and elite. IE they won't eat a tub of generic chocolate or neopolitan (IE bargin tub of chocolate/vanilla/strawberry). It's Ben and Jerry's ice cream at the bare minimum or nothing else.

Nancy cuntface showing off a freezer full of gourmet ice cream is the equivalent of mocking poor people for being poor. Hell, if you have an ice cream truck in your area, the cheapest ice cream bar a person can buy is around $2-3 if you are lucky.

Only when they can make sure all of the major banking elites are on board with it as far as allowing only one kind of bit coin to be recognized and made legal in the US, as far as it being one that the banks and the feds control 100%

Transporting oil by train is more expensive, and cancelling the pipeline means the companies wasted the money they put into it.
More expensive, far less efficient (as in at least a couple of orders of magnitude less efficient), and in the case of the rail route keystone would be replacing, has caused more mass fatalities, property destruction and environmental damage in the last ten years than every oil pipeline in north america. There's also the little fact that the transportation company hauling all that oil is owned by warren buffet, who spent the better part of those same last ten years and more lobbying against keystone xl, because it would take away an enormous source of revenue.

Harrison Bergeron.

I read it in middle school. The very idea of such a dystopia terrified my young mind, and now I see it happening in reality with SJW and IdPol.
The problem is we're getting the dystopias without the interesting bits. We're getting:

The decay of Deus Ex without the nanotech and AIs.
The authoritarianism of 1984 without a frighteningly capable Inner Party. (One would think this a good thing but it just means they use their worst tools more often and to more damaging ends.)
The "equality" of Harrison Bergeron with twerking instead of ballet.
The city-dwelling freaks of The Hunger Games without the televised sporting events.
The pandemic of Oryx and Crake without any good drugs to show for it.
The gas-as-most-valuable-resource of Mad Max without a single scrap of badassery.

(Thought I was going to go with a different Atwood work, didn'tcha? I admit, I just Wikipedia'ed a plot synopsis. Like hell I'd actually read the damn thing.)

The smartest thing Republicans could do in the event they take back Congress this fall is pass a law mandating we attain and MAINTAIN complete energy independence going forward. Biden has been an utter disaster, screwing over gains that we've been working on since 2001 and that caused a market boom in North Dakota.

Republicans are part of the Uniparty, they wanted this

If it gets that bad then yes. I predict 5 dollar gas prices even in the most rural of places. Most people will suck it up, but will be voting with their wallets come midterms. Until then we're fucked
The midterm results may not be what many here are hoping. And I don't that it wont be a slew of Republican victories (though depending on the counting...). What I mean is it depends which republicans get in. Focus on Trump-style nationalist and pro-peace candidates vs. neocon RINOs. This is where the critical battle is, and it's already begun.

Indeed, now more than ever people have to start paying attention to local and state-level candidates if they want to stem the tide of self-inflicted political horrors. Fortunately, Trump is doing a good job of playing king-maker behind the scenes by endorsing candidates for primaries, governorships, etc. and has so far gotten many of his picks up for office or elected outright. Texas is the most recent example: all 33 of his endorsements for primaries won their races, while in Arizona, Doug Ducey slinked out from running for senate again.

We've had like fifty Marie Antoinette moments from the Democrats in just the past few years. Remember when Pelosi showed off her freezer stocked with tens of thousands of dollars of expensive ice cream when all us plebs were suffering from shortages thanks to the covid hysteria?

The plebs allow themselves to be held hostage by niggers and welfare leeches of all stripes. Nancy Pelosi gets voted by the same folks each time plus the rich white as fuck folks over there.

Larry Elder was called a wignat despite multiple hypocrisy by Gavin Newsom.

And the Democrat media bubble within the state is super strong that bias leaks everywhere and normal folks buy it.

Make sure to remember when the primary votes are held, so you can make sure your voice is heard, as little as it can be.
