Words & Phrases DSP Has Invented or Misuses - DSP'isms that make you say "HUUUHN?!?"

"I have no interest in making cookies inside of a hollow tree with you"

WTF does that mean? i've never heard that analogy in my life. i cant even try to logic what it means.|
did he mix it up with some other saying?
This is on par with Chris Chan's "but in the stone age..." joke

Who the fuck remembers the keebler elves jesus christ. It could almost have worked if Phil called keems a keebler looking jackass or something.

Another Pigsplanation: "Almost skinny"

Real definition: Almost thin enough to either stand out in a crowd or look sick depending on the person asked. Both definitions assume low or no muscle mass..

Phil's definition: No longer looks like the Philsbury Doughboy. When he proclaimed himself to be "almost skinny" I suspect that was code for either "barely over 200 pounds" or "skipped his 2AM sandwich for a few days in a row". In all fairness he does have muscle mass that would make a coma patient embarrassed so he's got at least half the definition right.

Not going to lie, I actually make boomer-ass jokes like that IRL, I just don't have any delusions about whether or not people are going to get them. In fact half the time, my weird ass is doing it BECAUSE it'll go over someone's head. But again, not a streamer with a bad rep and inadequate awareness. I would never expect to get away with that shit if I was broadcasting myself all the time, especially if I knew my audience was half my age, and more than likely unaware of what song plays at the beginning of Milo & Otis.

Yeah he's totally not a person who talks about drama and negative shit that has absolutely nothing to do with his streams, you can see this trend has continued ever since late 2019 and even though it did dip a little bit last year it's seeing a slight increase in his vernacular.

Again, I can't help noticing how most of the giant rises in all these terms are after the departure of Leanna, though to be fair, it's rather coincidental that his rep REALLY started to get bad from 2017 onward. That's going to be a powerful factor too, as we know Phil has gotten more confrontational over the detractor community over the years. Meaning, the more his rep takes hits because his stupidity and long-term deception gets out there, the more he doubles-down on trying to counter it.

2017 would be in line with his some of the earlier controversies he had, when his worst attributes started coming out away from his gameplay. Machinima revealed his sense of entitlement and lack of patience, the infamous outburst at wardogleader, hell the Leanna hospital story was fucked no matter how you looked at it. That doesn't even add the infamous "down the rabbithole" episode on him that was one of the few videos out there that put some of his worst moments together in one place and he couldn't hide behind his video spam.

2017 saw more pages in that one year in the main thread than all the previous years combined. It was the year that people noticed him and they weren't the most pleased with his attitude.

It's like he saw that he was making things worse for himself and decided to go out of his way to accelerate the process, because 2017 sounds like a pretty bad year, but he has managed to make the following ones even more detrimental to his legacy. By doing things like owing thousands across a dozen credit cards, scamming people out of 2K for a cat reveal, and developing a mobile gaming addiction that ensures he'll NEVER actually get ahead financially despite his promises. Not to mention scamming his own mother for money to pay his taxes which he then blatantly spent on moving Katherine in and marrying her.

For someone who has had an entire community of tattle-tales dedicated to busting them for years, Phil sure acts like he can't possibly get caught doing anything shady. What gets me is that the detract community is like the fucking Eye of Sauron in his world, it haunts him, gives him anxiety, yet he feels it only when he gets caught and pays consequences, never when he's about consider a bad decision. You would think when he came up with the Fake Sick Jasper grift, he would've remembered us and felt some serious panic attack coming on, but no. No matter what year it is, that shit is simply never going to happen. As much as we live in his head, that is very odd.

Scientifically.
In pig speech it apparently means holding a gamepad up to the camera, pushing a button and say "see there is lag".
And we know is this from stupidity as much as it is from being a stubborn child who can't handle being wrong because I've seen him do this exact thing before, only with different energy. I believe he was playing Bloodbourne, he, unprompted by anyone getting argumentative with him, did a roll to test if there was input lag, and he concluded that there "indeed was".

As you can imagine, the footage demonstrated that there wasn't, because he's holding the controller up and his character starts to roll right when they should. Not to mention, I've used wireless controllers before, and they had problems, but input lag was never one of them. Physics just simply don't work that way. I don't care how far back you're sitting from your console, it's not going to be enough for the signal to take more than a blink of an eye to cross the distance.

Phil is more than likely judging the "lag" based on when the character completes their roll, not on when the animation STARTS, like a fucking normal person. No wonder he can't do a left-facing DP...
