The average worker in the US can't afford an electric car unless you feel like printing even more money for gibs and doing Cash For Clunkers 2: Electric Boogaloo and we know how well the original scheme by Obama "helped" the economy. "Muh envrioment" yeah lets keep shitting on the average man while the megacorps pollute more in their businesses than the entire population combined many times over.
Speaking of which lets not even get fucking started on other aspects of the economy like trucking, farming, and trading. How long is it going to take for truck companies to replace their fleets with electric semi-trucks that are just now entering the market and are barely existent in the US? Get ready for literally fucking everything that has to be carried by truck (spoiler: Almost everything you know) to shoot up in price due to transportation fees. I'm not an expert in agriculture so correct me if i'm wrong please, but I highly doubt a lot of farmers are using electric tractors and other farm machinery as well. What happens to the price of food once farmers have to pay more to just operate, and the truckers hauling it have to pay more in gas? Really gets the noggin jogging if you're a retard that can't notice the obvious like a lot of liberals.
What about trade? Do we have all electric cargo ships sailing the waters? We already know the answer to that question.
We haven't even fucking jumped on top of the iceberg yet. Lets talk about heating,and electricity which will fucking shoot up in demand as everyone charges their new cars, and every other fucking sector of the economy that relies on fossil fuels. "powered by clean energy" Unless someone plans on shitting out nuclear reactors which takes time there is no fucking way you are supporting the US grid with renewables alone within a reasonable time frame if you just handwave the costs. I'm sure the lobbying oil barons are just going to let the congressmen in their pockets absolutely delete the oil industry. Oh and you're going have to build ALOT of shit to cover those electric cars as well unless you want an economical collapse.

Do they know how long it takes to "transform" a economy? They talk like they can get this done in a couple of presidential terms and not the fucking decade or more it actually takes. Prius is a hybrid. Its battery is 6.something kwh.
Tesla'a are like 70-90
The battery is just used for light load in a Prius. The ICE is always there to do the heavy work and recharge the battery on the go. When the battery is completely worn out the gas powered ICE just runs all the time. But the car still moves.
In a Tesla the battery has to do everything because there is no ICE. It is much bigger and you can't keep using the car when it fails.

What I've heard is that they will be implementing something similar to what China already does. Traffic will have to leave the country through designated government controlled exit point and they will have their own in-country DNS servers. This would give them the ability to directly control traffic types allowed and site access allowed external to the country.
The main goal is centralized egress/ingress of traffic from the country and control over enough infrastructure (like DNS) that an attack on them through the infrastructure of the internet would not be successful AND of course restrictions on what sites people in the country can access.
Cogent and Lumen have already cut them off as part of "sanctions". They are expecting other companies to do the same soon.
As far as VPNs, its not yet clear what their intent is. They derive a considerable benefit currently from VPNs in terms of being able to get around geographic sanctions.

A spergy, dumpy insurance agent figured out the combined use of MANPADs and AA platforms would rock fourth generation platforms, and nearly nullify the use of attack helicopters, over thirty fucking years ago in Red Storm Rising.
We also dumped money and time into long range standoff weapons, precision smart munitions, and electronic warfare capabilities to keep our 4th generation aircraft competitive.
The problem with maintaining anti-air capabilities in this day and age is that these large expensive area-denial systems (Patriot/s-400) are pretty damn hard to replace. This means that any attrition against these platforms is rather permanent, and it will be attrited. Cruise, Ballistic, and SEAD missile capabilities are all developed with taking out area denial systems in mind, if not primarily so.
Well what about MANPAD systems? Latest gen systems are really good at taking out low flying aircraft, and helicopters, but what about high flying aircraft? Not so much. Unfortunately the weight of the rocket motors rather prevents making a MANPAD which has the altitude capability to hit a 4th gen aircraft flying close to the ceiling. That's good enough to render conventional "dumb bomb" weapon systems unacceptably inaccurate, but something like the JDAM operates quite decently at altitude.
What I'm saying is, smart bombs really help get around the MANPAD problem, and Russia has a rather small stockpile of these munitions.
