And one memory-holed fact is that, in the phone call, Trump did not say "do me a favor", he said "do us a favor".

It wasn't about him. It was a matter of national security that the American people know about Biden's shenanigans in Ukraine.

There is nothing about liberals that makes my shit boil more than the fact that they are pathological liars.

For me, what really make me hate liberals is that they're perfectly fine with bribes, wars paid for by bribes, and people killed for bribes, as long as the guys taking bribes are on their side, because we talked about the bribes, why, those dastardly Republicans might win!

Believing that the government should run the hospitals or whatever doesn't require selling your soul. You can believe in liberal horseshit without also believing it's NBD for the son of the Vice President to get handed a million dollar no-show job every time Daddy visits a new country.

I don't know if it's still MAD doctrine or not, but if we'd ever gone nuclear in the Cold War the plan was that everyone gets hit. The idea was to try and get as close as an "even" restart as possible
Thats the first time I heard of it, in fact what I remember is that not even all of the northern hemisphere would get hit because despite all the nukes many were expected to fail/not reach the targets and hitting some third world country was low priority vs a decapitation attack on the enemy and destroying their nuclear silos and bunkers

And yeah when I say "northern hemisphere" I mean everything above the equator including china and japan even tho the latter has no nukes
Kinda hard even though they only had 1/3 of the cabinet after the revolution.

Movie recommendation for you
"On the Beach"

" After a global nuclear war, the residents of Australia must come to terms with the fact that all life will be destroyed in a matter of months."

Just takes a while for the radiation to meander around.
The movie was BS, not even cobalt bombs can do that shit

Fallout will be a bitch but because of atmospheric aerosols not radiation

Pressing X on that one.
China in feeding the pockets of most DC politicians. They own every Canadian one. They own half of the EU.
They own massive shares in most of Western media. They own shares of our infrastructure.
I am typing this on a Chinese made Dell laptop, thats connected to a Chinese made router that is connected to a Chinese made HFC node etc etc.
When I wake up in the morning I get coffee from my Chinese made coffee machine and drive my car full of Chinese made electronics and plastics to work. Your reading this post on a Chinese made computer or cellphone.

China and the west are stuck in a M.A.D. relationship now. We need them to make everything. And they need us to keep consoooming.
If we get in to an economic dust up with them they could just start doing things like telling Apple that next iPhone is going to be delayed 6 months. Or those EFI computers you need for your auto industry are 18 months out now. And it wont hurt them because they will make you pay full price when it does come in. What are you going to do? Nothing. Its not like you can pick up your whole supply chain and move it to someplace else. Wall Street and the consooomer wont want to pay for domestic manufacturing.

I think this ends with a big chunk of Ukraine now Russia. And Russia becoming just as co-dependent on China as the USA is now.
Western Europe is going to take it right up the ass with food and energy prices and America will continue on its steady decline.
And China will take over the world thanks to massive consumerism. And Xi Jingping will take “mutually” out of MAD if you say “Taiwan is a country” or “Stand with Hong Kong”.

We’re so lucky the US owing China a trillion dollars tends to be more complicated than what that statement is on its face.

It wasn't the highest priority, but bigger places could have at least expected to get hit with something, Brazil, India, allied nations, anyone with a modernish economy and industry. Everyone got to have a hard reset to 18th Century tech. The US and Russia had a lot of nukes. Hell, Russia even had plans for biological follow ups to further fuck with survivors. I think the "realistic" estimates for an actual nuclear exchange was about a quarter of the planet's population in the initial exchange and then roughly another quarter in the following collapse of infrastructure, industry, disease, and famine. It wasn't going to be Fallout, but it was going to be bad.

That said, the non-primary targets were expect to recover faster, just because they'd have gotten hit less.

So you're saying 1950s scifi moves were wrong.
Wait till you live thru
"Night of the Lepus"

Because people are going to see what China is doing to aid Russia, and all that anti-Russia hysteria might just start bleeding into anti-China sentiment as well. China is, in all likelihood, going to start taking sanctions up the ass for helping Russia.

People have called this a proxy war between Russia and the US, but really this is more akin to a Western-Sino proxy conflict. Each side is drawing up their spheres of influence and throwing cash on their pet Slav.

And how did that go for Germany in the long run again?

I’ll take apples and oranges for $500 Alex.

Not to spoil it, but they won and took over Poland.
Shh, he still thinks daddy Uncle Schlomo is going to swoop in and save his favorite CP provider with the glorious armies of troons and mutts. Let him have his moment of solace.
Hitler believed his own hype.

But the Allies ended up being the bad guys in the end.
I blame anime. The war was very winnable until Japan jumped the gun and gave FDR what he wanted.

It’s almost like 20th century and 21st century warfare are two different beasts
