I pray that you are correct.

The boomers in social networks all go "AmErIcA iS EvIl, do you REALLY want Russia to be ran by an AmErIcAn PuPpEt like in the 90's"? This question makes me go well, what's better - having the money and not being able to buy shit because the shelves are empty or not having the money to buy the shit on the shelves? I, personally, prefer the latter, because getting money is largely a matter of time and effort, but no amount of hard work and determination will help you when the entire industry is gone or has been retooled to make exclusively chamberpots that can double as helmets for the glorious army or whatever.

And the way things are going, it looks like we are heading towards the third option of having neither.
So the boomers in Russia is also like that huh? What about the young people? Are they supporting or rejecting the war?

>The TEEVEE said so!
I'm guessing we're not talking about US boomers here.
Russian boomers, yes. The 1960s-1970s generation of the former USSR.

Let's just say that if you could combine Russian propaganda machine tricks with US leftists' drive to overpower all public spaces, there'd be a One World Government by this point.

Rejecting, naturally. Russian youth is mostly liberal (i. e. rabidly anti-Putin), pissed off at the lack of social mobility and does not remember the absolute shitshow that were the 90's. Boy are these sweet summer children in for a nasty surprise.

To most of them the entire "military operation" is a blatant attack on their way of life, and I cannot blame them.

Are you in Russia now?

How are your people taking the lack of McDonalds and Starbucks? Hitting you hard?

Yeah, I am going down with the ship. It is not immediatly clear whether the megacrops have pulled out entirely, most of them have "suspended" their operations, not "terminated" them. Most likely waiting for the heat to dissipate and the economic/supply chain disruptions to stabilize once the "new normal" sets in, whatever THAT is going to be. Thus my original comment about hoping the peace is achieved soon.
Not my impression. It's either very apathetic and complacent or shows a minimal amount of effort or even rabidly пососательская.
98% of Russians are very apathetic and complacent due to decades, if not centuries of learned helplessness purposedly cultivated from above. I am talking about the 2% who aren't.

98% of Russians are very apathetic due to decades, if not centuries of learned helplessness carefully cultivated from above. I am talking about the 2% who aren't.
If it's any consolation, my company (a fairly major software one), has no plans of pulling out of Russia. In fact, they're only suspending operations and keeping the employees paid, like McDonalds. And I suspect they're far from alone.

Fair enough. Peace to you, my friend. You're not being all ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ right here and that's already enough in my book. Hopefully, you will be able to adapt to the new "normal" in Russia, whatever it'll be.

I apologize for any glee you'll see from people like me in the coming months. Your agitprop painted a picture of an imperial nation and it's about to get its' knees BROKEN like it never had before in its' entire history (save maybe for the occupation of Moscow by Poles).

Let me put it this way: I no longer view Cyberpunk corporate citizenship as dystopian.

Oh no. I'm talking about Russian boomers.
Hate to tell you this, but they're right about the US. You have one faction here (republicans) that will turn absolutely psychopathic the moment the US is at odds with another country, and belive in basically a weird alt version of Christianity that worships the Jews. The other faction here (democrats) are basically just vicious political Machiavellians who would share a bed with Lucifer himself and murder their own mothers for a political leg up. Both of them vehemently oppose any traditional western school of thought and loath any country which doesn't have a similar system to the US. Russia of course falls into this category.
The only thread that would dare rival the Vtuber thread and it flew too close to the sun.
Funny you should mention that.

Little does anyone realize Rushia's termination was a Ukrainian Op, and that's why Putin invaded. He was the top supporter under an alternate account. He lost his light, and was left with nothing.
