That and their statement that "isn't it fascinating how a cautionary tale about the damage grief can cause to ourselves and others has resulted in months of confusion, anger, vitriol, bigotry, and threats of violence, ever since Joel's death was leaked on the internet? The climate surrounding it is a remarkable example of life imitating art."

Any thoughts on that?

It's brainlet bullshit from someone who's been fully indoctrinated into Neil's cult, because whether these people realize it or not, what they're effectively saying is that a person should be allowed to go out and freely murder someone if they feel they've been wronged, no matter what the circumstances were, and then face little (if any) consequences themselves.

God I hate this half-assed revenge bullshit. Revenge breeds revenge. It is literally the trope Cycle of Revenge and is something of a truth in reality. If you will make a revenge story, commit to the theme. Many generations in the past, be it the entire dynasties of China and the whole European power vacuum before to today where families will pit-fight each other to the death because some retarded sibling of theirs fucked with another family's daughter. The idea that one action will not really give you many results is a complete violation to many terms, including Unintended Consequences and Second-Order Effects. This only tells them that they can do whatever they want and impose their shitty hugbox even larger to a bunch of whiny faggots who did not get whatever they want and justify their "revenge" to the "ebil shits" that denied them something for good reason.

I will say, the part where you're playing as Abby and Ellie is trying to kill you in the theatre was genuinely disconcerting. I wasn't used to seeing her as a 'villain', it worked quite well.

Pseudo-intellectual clap-trap jerking off in the fervent hopes it will distract you from the fact that TLOU2's narrative completely collapses in on itself early on, get you to ignore that the majority of the characters are completely unlikeable, and pray fervently to god that you won't notice that the game itself is to TLOU what TLJ was to Star Wars - a complete narrative failure, beginning to end, utterly bereft of redeeming features that aren't technical (it looks nice/plays nice/has good music).

Coping, nothing more, and given time, they will come around, long after everyone else has stopped caring.

Imagine trying to coo to yourself that you're fighting for the right side of history and protecting women by supporting an abusive white man who kicked the main creative drive, a woman, out of the company and forced his lessers to look at guro just for his own jollies. Oh, and who decided showing bad sex that makes the woman character you defend look like a man on camera was a kino idea.

I'm starting to wonder how many people who are still defeing TLoU2 to this day have played the game, or even own a PS4 to being with.

You mean the part where you and Ellie are working together to kill Abby by forcing Abby into the open so Ellie has an easy shot?

Its so wonderful when you have a main character so hated that there are huge compilations online of people actively getting her killed on purpose (a lot of them by Ellie's hands)

Of course, its the fault of the gamers or something. They simply "didnt get it" or some BS like that

Does anyone think we will ever see TLOU part 2 on PC? Because imagine the mods and memes we would get out of that.

GOW's modding scene works tiredlessly to create shit like OG Kratos and his weapons and etc.

TLOU 2's modding scene would be full of Abby mockery and having the game literally roll credits when she gets killed. They probably would even mod the ending so Abby actually dies.

Maybe? Sony's slowly dipping their toes into that market lately, but I doubt Druckman can stomach "his vision" getting modded.

Pretty sure it's only a matter of time, especially if they re-release TLOU2 bundled with the multiplayer (if it isn't just vaporware at this point). Sony pretty much said they're gonna be bringing a lot of PS4 games to PC.

The mods will be fun, and will probably cause Druckmann to have yet another embarrassing twitter meltdown.

I think the worst you can do is to make Abby look kind of actually attractive? As if to say "thats how a more beefy woman looks like, Cuckmann. Not your 'ideal 'woman' Abby "

That is so simple and yet I feel like it would sting the most outside of just simple mockery (tho I would love those too)
