Finana's birthday is coming up, and her Discord planned to set up a Billboard on NY Times Square as a surprise. Apparently, they've been saving up cash for almost 6 months now.

Finana then catches wind of this plan, tells her fan discord to do something else because "Hololive already did this"(I cannot confirm if she said those words, but that is what 4chan is using)/something along the lines of do something else instead

During Enna's birthday, Finana mulled about how her own birthday last year seemed smaller than the rest of NijiEN. Nina (with Millie I assume) then suggested setting up a billboard in Times Square. Ryuguards (Finana fans) then assumed that that Finana wanted the billboard and was pressured to set one up for her.
And then we have here Finana *allegedly* telling her fans not to continue the Billboard plan.

So basically 6 months of planning and saving up money for something Finana wasn't interested in the first place.

Hence, fuck Millie/Nina

There were only 3 members total, they hadn't really interacted with ID/KR at this point, and no one really had the time or material to make websites or clip compilations because she was so fresh on the scene.

Plus, you can tell by the clip that Millie and Nina are clearly poking fun at her. A scorned Discord mod is something only /vt/ could make drama of.

best guess and rrat is that she's unhappy that her niche is sexualized french vtuber with spicy L2Ds. I mean.. her L2Ds are literal chef kisses imho on quality of art plus rigging. Did you see that Elden Ring inspired one. I don't really watch Saruei outside of clips or super downtime but as I was going through her tweet, saw she had a new onsen one that is literal fapbait. She's got alot of good L2Ds. And her 3D model that she used is pretty good too iirc.

She went from being a tatted French artist who drew classy hentai on Twitch (and I only use the word classy because Saruei always tried to keep her art streams "classy" by not going full R18, that's what her Patreon is for ) to, as I said, sexualized french vtuber with spicy L2Ds. Maybe she was expecting some networking with the likes of say Vshojo or Niji or some other Vtuber corp (big doubt on Holo since she draws the Islamic Content) but she thinks all she's done so far is sell her 2D body for views and donos.

But who knows what's really troubling her. Could be that. Could be the artist side of her gig. I'm no mind reader, just a simple Koronesuki and corposhill

I'm saying that the Takodachi did it first, and it has since become something that V-Tuber fans suggest regardless of how much they believe that person would actually appreciate or want it. An expensive gift isn't necessary to giving them something they'll really appreciate. Bear in mind that a lot of these are done so that they can watch a reaction on the day.

Even if you take the stance that Ina wasn't outwardly excited to see it become a reality because she was aware of it — which is valid and I concede I forgot she knew beforehand — I'm also saying the same of Finana. Finana allegedly knows about it and therefore won't be a surprise to her. It wasn't suggested by her, and she didn't make any indication that she really wanted it.

I wasn't comparing Enna to Ina, I was saying that less expensive gifts can have big reactions if they're tailored to what fans think the person will personally appreciate, and that isn't limited to Holo or Niji. I would be calling it cringe if it was a Niji who was the first to get on Times Square because the outcome is still the same.

That probably is the case, yeah; you wouldn't really have all that much downtime with simultaneous interpretation, since in comparison to consecutive it starts roughly 2-3 seconds after the speaker begins, but that's not really the preferred method for interviews like this.
