Um sweatie, War Crimes are A+P (Atrocities plus Power). Since America has way more niggers and faggots than Russia we can't commit war crimes by definition :^)
The reason the US cannot commit war crimes is that the US has refused to put itself under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court nor has it ratified the Rome Statute treaty. The only body that could bring war crimes charges against the United States would be the courts of the united states. And a combination of (a) refusal to bring prosecutions, (b) limitations on the jurisdiction of the federal courts and (c) lack of standing for parties to bring action in federal court....mean that effectively there is no way to hold anyone in the United States accountable for any real or not real war crimes.

Remember, any invasion of Taiwan would also need a similar, if not greater degree of preparation. Which is why any talk of Taiwanese invasion is bullshit unless we start getting reports like these.
Honestly, China likely could do an invasion of Taiwan without there being a lot of forewarning. There's not a lot stopping them from using civilian ships for marine landings, Taiwan has some excellent locations for airborne landings, and China has enough airpower to very rapidly overwhelm anything that could put up a real fight on the ground. That's not saying they'll go this route, but it's certainly something within the realm of possibility.

Not to forget that, Taiwan has literal underground airfields and hidden CIWS in the mountains. Taiwan is a god damn fortress that's going to be a tough nut to crack.
Indeed, and Taiwanese watching the Ukrainian fight in this war will definitely make the Taiwanese even more determined to defend their little island. If the Ukrainian won, they'll believe if Russia can be defeated, so too would be China. If Ukraine lost, they won't let the same fate befalls them

Re: The Russian Revolution

A critical missing piece in what @Protistology said (can't quote) is the involvement of the Wilson administration. Wilson was committed to WW1 and "making Europe safe for democracy," and his absolute brainlet idea with the battered, bleeding Russia that had just deposed the Tsar due to the war's unpopularity was to make continued involvement in the war a condition of receiving loans from the USA. So Kerensky was faced with either immediately go bankrupt and have another revolution, or keep the war going and maybe not have another revolution, but anyway, there was another revolution.

Wilson is arguably the worst President in US history.

Germany fucked over the Kerensky goverment by sending Lenin to fuck things up in Russia.

Wilson was a shit president but a lot of his apologists say that he's misunderstood, that most of his contemporaries were of the same mindset as he was and that he didn't jump at the earliest opportunity to join the war.

Even Roosevelt would have inmediatly sent the Doughboys to WW1 earlier and I would bet America would have been scarred by the insane amount of American casualties ( 115.000 American deaths in a couple of months in 1918, imagine that)

Always annoying replying to multiple points but is tried and true.

1. I think the pics genuinely make the contrast worse by having the before images be in June 2021 where everything is brighter and greener. That said it's obviously fucked up but it's been a week of artillery. However, Grozny is a high bar for a reason, Russia intentionally went all out there - it was no longer recognizable. I don't know what you expect from any of the besieged cities which are going to be shelled as part of the whole "cauldron" thing Russians do. Artillery is the fire. They crank up the heat until everyone is dead or gives up.

2. Yeah they did this in Syria but I don't recall and can't find anything saying they attacked the corridor. It worked for them overall as they corralled Syrian civilians and fighters into Idlib or whatever. The recent claim is that Russians attacked the corridor after telling people to use it, even mining it. Doesn't add up for me.

3. Russia went in to kill Syrians and Chechens, they have clearly not moved into Ukraine to kill Ukrainians in the same manner. Ironically, this has resulted in people making fun of Russia for not being as hard as they historically have been.

4. I'll just stand by thinking it's silly to belittle Russia for not invading a massive city quickly while simultaneously complaining about their brutality of another, lesser city.

5. No idea what their deal is but I think they keep the air force out of the way as it's not worth the risk since they can barely afford new planes on a good day.

1: Well, going by the reporting on the ground, they've cut the water, power, gas and the likes, so they've likely hit nearly everything of importance, how there's even a population still fighting down there is beyond me, unless they've some shelters deep that they've stocked up, every scene or picture I've caught a glimpse of is just a bombed out hollow hole. By all means, it'd be great for the folk there if they don't go Gronzy, but I trust Russians to hold back as much as I trust Muslims to enjoy a bacon sandwich.

2: Entirely going by the quote: " Russians also put mines on the route out of the city, according to the Red Cross ". There's another form a field report I can remember that claimed while they dealt with those, the city had a attack on the other side, so divert resources, hit the blind spot. Makes sense in my mind, but that's just me.

3: Hard to really say for the civilians at this point, between the amount that've fled and the amount that are buried under rubble, we're going to need to wait to see how it spans out. Heh, gott'a admit, it's good seeing the old bear seemingly being declawed by some mad slav lads of all things.

4: Strategically, it doesn't make much sense to hit Mariupol rather than Kharkiv, why waste resources in the south, when the north holds more bodies to contain and keep away from joining the fighters in the west, sure, if the lads in Mariupol were actively whacking at Crimea, then aye, but from all accounts I've read and saw so far, they've basically just dug in like a badger.

5: Aw, and we've just sent them some anti-air shit, will be a waste if we don't get to see some shiny plane get blown to hell and back.

I mean it wasn't exactly a secret we were providing combat instructors. I remember it being discussed well before the war started
indeed, there were trainers there until just before the war. Am sure the Ukrainians are making good use of what's been learned. Wouldn't be surprised to know there were US special operators in Poland staying in contact with the Ukes.

What do you think of Wikipedia's map?
1) Its missing most of the recent Russian moves out to the north of Kherson.
2) They deserve credit for admitting (unlike others) that Mariupol is surrounded.
3) They are doing the same things that others do in certain areas of the map (like the north) where they minimize Russian gains on the map by crediting them with only control of roads and crediting the Ukraine Army with control of territory even if they have no forces remaining in that area.
4) They accurately reflect the Russian's positions immediately east of Kiev.
5) How they map what they call "contested cities" is just weird. Sometimes they will not credit the contesting force with even being at the city. Other times they seem to use "contested city" to deny reality. For example, they have drawn the advance to Kiev from the North and East as happening along a narrow road and listed nearly every single city along that narrow road as "contested".

Its not perfect and there are things they do that I disagree with, but its better than I would have expected given that its on Wikipedia.

What Wilson did with Russia and Germany in the aftermath of their respective defeats was pants-on-head-retarded diplomacy, and there were plenty of people who weren't incredibly fucking stupid, which is why he often had to lie to people about what he was up to. If he were alive today, he'd be a neocon.

Created the Federal Reserve, created the Federal Income Tax, got America involved in World War I, created the League of Nations, and was a senile fool used as a stool pigeon by the elite (sound familiar?). The amount of damage he caused and causes to this day is unbelievable. Worst president? Certainly, but also one of the worst people in history after Jacob Frank.

yadda yadda yadda
I'd like to remind you what I've said earlier, my fellow redditor.

Please stop eat human shit that are western media and go touch some actual grass at the back of your lawn, if you have one at all, and leave this thread on behalf of bettering your mental and intellectual health, as it clearly shows now that you have the glownigger\bugman mindset. I urge you to reconsider while it's not too late.

The official rep of the #DPR forces gives a message to the Ukrainian forces still in #Mariupol. "Surrender or Die"

Yeah, that will convince them to surrender.

Even the Nazis were tempting the Russians by offering them food, security and hot chocolate and even if they were lying that is better than saying "surrender or fucking die".

Not exactly correct. Our military has the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which covers many likely war crimes. There were people court-martialed for mistreating prisoners in Iraq, for example.

Could any Russian-speakers here confirm what is said? One thing I find suspicious is that the excerpt does not match the full version, and something like that video can be faked by anyone who speaks Russian.
It's stylistically wrong but the meaning is correct. The voices belong to native Russian speakers.
