Well I have been obsessed over trying to find out the origin of those Buhanka-Chan memes and animization of turning Russian armor into moe girls.
Led me to this archive of a thread on /k/ where they tried to make some of the stuff better lol and have some quite unusual tastes in sharing other stuff on a weapons board.

YouTube blocks Russian state-funded media channels globally.
March 11 (Reuters) - YouTube is immediately blocking access around the world to channels associated with Russian state-funded media, it said on Friday, citing a policy barring content that denies, minimizes or trivializes well-documented violent events. A short map update
Most of the maps didn't update at all today. The one that did was Wikipedia. Wikipedia is showing meaningful Russian advances west from Kiev and South from Kiev.
The advance up the east bank of the Bug River from the Kherson area also seems to have made some ground. All of these advances are into western Ukraine.
By the Wikipedia map, it seems like that long column the media has been obsessing about may have been intended for moves into western UKraine rather than an assault on Kiev. Or at least that is the apparent direction today.
Most of the maps tend to be less than honest about the situation in the north between Kiev and Kharkov. As well, less than honest about the situation in the east.
The new thing on the New York Times map is to draw "big red arrows" crossing the map but to not to credit the Russians with any control over the territory around the arrow. Thus the Russians are at the suburbs of Kiev on the east side but are credited as controlling no territory west of Sumy or south of charnihiv. The forces are just held to be hanging in the air hundreds of miles away from any Russian controlled territory.
The institute for the study of war has concluded that the Ukrainians have the Russians pinned down at Mariupol. Which is kind of an unusual thing for a military unit that is cut off and under siege to do.

I would not at all doubt that they are prepared for war and would do quiet well. The American volunteers in Ukraine have real problems there because they are fighting on their own without even air superiority. But if the American military comes in there, its going to destroy the Russian Air force and bring down overwhelming firepower that will destroy everything in its way on the ground. American soldiers as lone wolf fighters is one thing. But sending the whole big machine in there is something else entirely.

If I'm not mistaken this is also the biggest military operation Russia did since World War II against a large(r) enemy. A lot of the instances where the Russians got their dicks kicked into vaginas are the results of high risk gambles that didn't pay off and ended in an embarrassment.
As I'm writing this, the Ukrainians are in the grand scheme of things "winning", but in a Charlie Zelenoff way.
