You didn't say that. You said they had no resources other than agriculture. Also, Russia fucking with those resources is fucking with the EU etc. Russia might not need the resources... doesn't mean they don't want them, for whatever political reasons.
It's meant in the way that it's the only thing they've got of actual value. It wasn't meant as an absolute statement about every little iron deposit that the nation has.
I seriously hope you've got english as your second language for you to interpret the comment in the way you did

Any Russian speakers able to comment on the Chinese dude's accent? He seems to enunciate well to the point I can hear each word, even if I don't know most of them. Not what I'd expect from a Chinaman as their English accents are often very thick.
Just curious if it's blissful ignorance on my part or his accent isn't that bad.
Due to the way the borders between China and the Soviet Union were drawn, there's ethnic Russians born in China, and ethnic Chinese (mongols, uyghurs, etc) who were born in Russia.
Or he could just have been taught the language since his teens/emigrated, using the language a lot with natives tends to suppress accent.

The Posse Commitatus Act's drawbacks were shown during that summer, and it was an intended feature of the act since old school Democrats during the 1876 election chaos wanted it as a way to stop the feds buck breaking them.

There was the 1807 insurrection act that I kept hearing about or Trump using the three letter agencies, except those agencies hated him and are full blown woke at this point.
One dirty piece of history on the insurrection act. It can't be triggered most of the time except by states requesting help. But in 2007, an amendment was put in a defense bill that changed it so that the President could act without state approval. It passed. But when people (including governors) discovered it, there was a whole wave of resistance and it was repealed maybe a year later.
And to this day, its a total secret who added that amendment to the defense bill.

Trump couldn't use the insurrection act unless a governor requested help and none of the mostly democratic governors of the states with the disturbances were willing to ask for help from Trump. There is a loophole in the insurrection act that allows for exclusively federal action if the Equal protection clause of the 14th amendment isn't being enforced. And its possible to make an argument that not protecting property is a violation of equal protection. But you would need the justice department, the three letter agencies and probably the federal courts to go along with it.

Seeing as Russia is taking more and more of Ukriane with ease... I must wonder, when will this lead right into a second holocaust, but instead of Hitler and his German gang, it'll be with Putin and his Russian gang?

I like they projecting onto Putin, what Biden has been like ever since he started his campaign from the basement and has handlers everywhere with him to shut it down.
Ioffe is, like the ridiculous fedora-wearing chickenhawk Max Boot, one of those Russian immigrant Jews who's been nursing a weird little hateboner for the country of their birth since forever, and who pretend to be "national security experts" based on having written a few columns for Gentleman's Quarterly.

The grift and chutzpah isn't interesting, but the pathological hatred of Slavs and relentless yammering that Americans should go kill those Slavs is interesting, because it suggests some kind of bizarre ethnic grudge which makes no rational sense at all given how privileged and wealthy these people are and how little Russia has to do with their lives.

Let's be honest, with enough political capital and the right circumstance none of that shit matters. If the majority of governors and senators were from the same party or at least politically aligned with the president, the threat perceived to be great enough, and no fear of electoral backlash then the President could easily just ignore every law on the book and start exterminating citizens by the millions. What you can say is that it's way easier for the Canadian president to go full dictator than it is for a US president.

So would Putin be planning to kill all the Jews in Ukraine? Open literal death camps and gas them?

I don't think so......

Sounds like the DPR and LPR have been punching above their weight throughout this conflict, so far. Guess they've had enough of being shelled on for the last eight or so years.
They've had some the best propaganda too. The hohols should take notes on how to look like the sympathetic underdog. Also as an American of non-bootlicking extraction, I have to give them props on the flag.

I was hoping we'd get some good Russian propaganda, kind of sad we haven't.

Equally I could say that you need to state your case better. But when you get to high school you'll learn.

Metallurgy is something like 20% of the economy. And as I said before, there are reasons other than purely financial. Russia may not need or even want those resources... but that doesn't mean they want the EU (or whoever) to have them.

Perhaps you are getting over tired and need a nap, eh? Too much Net time isn't good for you.

By second Holocaust I mean by attempting to kill every Ukrainian and non-Russian person that is still in Ukraine right now, alongside any that are in other Russian territories.

Abraham Lincoln did just that in 1861. during the civil war He was able to simply ignore rulings of the Supreme Court and he was backed up by the army in this. The weakness in the system was ultimately that the supreme court has no power to enforce its decisions if the executive branch refuses them.

A Ukrainian drone has supposedly crashed in Croatia...
Not confirmed AFAIK, German news outlet, I just checked still says "unidentified".

"Yeah in that direction is fine, have you checked if the remote still works?"

king at it from google maps, it looks there isn't much difference between the distance in Ukraine and the Baltic countries from Moscow.
the baltic states are a giant swamp and there are major natural strongpoints in the way, like novgorod,

The only one holocausting anyone is Zalincki by forcing all men 18-60 to stay and fight in a hopeless situation at gun point.
EU is giving Ukrainians enhanced refugee status. Free gibs, housing, healthcare. Ukraine was a dying shithole before the war and with that offer its all done now. All the woman and children are leaving now and once the men figure out a way they will be too if not killed.
