1. Russian OPSEC being extremely tight for front/war footage. A person can tell a great difference between main Russian forces and the breakaway republic forces by the gulf of informational difference being put out by the two groups.
That's the big disappointment. There's close to no frontline war footage with actual gunplay. The most notable footage that comes out of the Russian telegrams include videos of large convoys, bombings, and city occupations by ground forces, and most of those are either recorded by authorized Russian media or Ukrainian civilians. Those three types of videos, among others, are the only things I can use to make inferences about the war
Most videos showing dead bodies only show those of Ukrainian civies, which is reasonable since Ukies can use those for evidence of war crimes. When it comes to footage or photos of dead Ukie soldiers though, there's almost nothing.
