Nah I believe him. He's just not lying awake at night wanting to stream it. Yeah, just wanted to mention that. Every time the US goes into daylight savings time and 8 months later when they go back to standard time he has this whole song and dance about it that lasts at least a week. Every single day he reminds people multiple times about switching to daylight savings time/standard time. It's probably some of the most exciting shit that happens to him in a year. And yeah, it's probably for his yurofag audience, here in yurofagia our time change occurs 2 weeks later than in the US, but then he doesn't have the same song and dance 2 weeks later to pigsplain to his yurodents that they can watch him at the usual time they used to.

The whole DSP and time change miniarc that occurs twice every year isn't just a puzzle piece, it's the whole damn 2000 piece jigsaw set.

I think it's more that Phil is trying to create an alternative explanation for him up tweeting at 3am, because he knows he's going to keep incriminating himself like this. I expect more of this in the future.

Even if we assume DSP is telling the truth about what the "FromSoft pro player" has said, it's completely irrelevant to him. No one would give a shit how DSP plays Elden Ring if he was playing for himself. He could be as overleveled and as cheesy as he wants to be. But he's streaming the game, presumably for other peoples enjoyment. If you stream a game, especially a game in a genre in which difficulty is part of the point, then don't be surprised if people don't want to watch you easily defeat all parts of the game due to the pathetic combination of being incredibly overleveled, cheesing, and using guides to find OP weapons. The "pro" is right, he can totally play how he wants for his first time, but if the entire point of you playing is entertainment don't be surprised if you don't get views of "positive contributions" when you choose to play an incredibly boring way.

Even your audience of wheelchairs who spend their entire lives in front of screen will realize by the time your streams starts the clock moved forward in the US, and for the 2 or 3 whales outside the US, who gives a fuck? It's not just his feelings from the series, he still thinks he has a shot at reviving his rep, and surely finds it viable to get there by not feeding into the entertainment value of TIHYDP. It isn't just personal, it's business too, because it is true that killing off the genre would help his rehabilitation. The problem isn't the concern he has there, it's with his approach. Being boring isn't going to work, and has the added side effect of making his pre-streams where the gold is, which is not good for him because then he has to go out of his way to make THEM boring too. This is from the perspective of the people who give him money, too, they love laughing at him just like we do. They just happen to be willing to pay after it happens.

Phil sucks at addressing things, but he's on point about what some of those things are.

Were it anyone else, I would assume an "I get no respect" joke was being made, but it's Phil, so no. He's not honest enough to acknowledge that him using a legend like that is degrading towards Rodney, and his entire focus was on not posting himself, because he can't handle that kind of self-deprecating humor.
