Thinking about the state of the world makes me realize how utterly unprepared I am for shit going down in my neck of the woods. I don't care of it sits on the shelf for decades to come; I just want to know if it's legit or some bullshit. Interesting site none-of-the-less.

This could be legit or it could be Alex Jones/Joe Rogan level.

lol This is pretty much true. Most of the projections I've seen for a full-on nuclear war have pretty much everyone becoming either toast in the initial blasts, or exposed to unsurvivable levels of fallout.

The sheer number of nuclear warheads on this planet and the amount that would be launched in any kind of nuclear war scenario makes it all pointless. I got the potassium iodide pills weeks ago for fun. It works by flooding the thyroid and preventing the radioactive iodine-131 fallout that you'll encounter from accumulating there. The recommended dose for radiation protection is 130 mg daily for an adult, taken when directed by the authorities. That is like 1000 times the normal daily recommended value and could fuck up your thyroid all by itself. These things have been handed out for free in the US after minor nuclear accidents.
