Worked as an apprentice for a bit. Can confirm that it is the worst. You're basically stuck doing the same slow, boring task slowly over the course of hours (Imagine holding a conversation with a troon for 6-8 hours and trying to get them to not constantly whine about the pain), and it never appears good at the end.Is... Whenever you see people post all black tattoos online it's always under favorable lighting or heavy filters, sometimes both. In reality the dark ink isn't super concentrated and looks the same shade as this site's background. (You would have to come in for another excruciating session after the skin heals to get it any darker). The specular reflections of human skin also become far far more noticeable, giving it a glossy grey look.
Tldr: The troon has bad decision making but we already knew that didn't we
