I believe that's just a default Chromium behavior when files are downloaded.I wish Brave would stop doing this shit when you download a file.

Is it really that hard to ask for privacy without them constantly keeping track of where you're are or going in the internet exactly without resorting to censoring stuff like this these days?
Ok sorry to pop your bubble, but it seems that this problem while related might not be directly caused by Brave. Went on the site from Firefox, the page also got blocked, disabled uBlock origin and it loaded just fine. Did the same thing with Brave, with its AdBlocker active it blocks the page, but when it's disabled the page loads normally.Be Free NYC (blocked by Brave) (archive)
They might be crazies on a certain level, like gifs with pyramids, UFOs, politicians, pyramids) with one of them shouting at Gov Hochul's when she gave some talk at some Greek Rite Catholic church (which they refer to as 'watch this witch get burnt in church.' I admire their moxie and also just want to say fuck Brave and their censorship.
It's not Google or Bill Gates or the Illuminati or the Freemasons or the Stone Cutters, just Brave censoring a bunch of publicly available addresses and phone numbers for politicians.

It could go as far as to be some sort of blacklist shared by multiple AdBlockers, so far it seems to only affect Brave's built-in and uBlock Origin.
Why the hell would he allow a subversive activist like this to get in such an important position after he got ousted from Firefox by exactly this type of person? It boggles the mind. Normie centrists really are incapable of learning.
Who fucking gives a shit about Ukraine? "Oh poor ukraine, the US must help them, we must show our support." Fuck ukraine, let em solve their own fucking problems. We're busy worrying about shit with another country but we can't even fix the problems in our own fucking country. Fucking joe biden refuses to take a god damn test to prove he isn't out of his mind despite failing to walk up some fucking stairs. Companies over here talking about supporting ukraine by blocking services to russians or some shit like that's gonna do anything. Why would putin give a damn people can't access pornhub anymore? If anything cock blocking russia out of services just gives him more of a reason to go scorched earth yet these fucking woke shit heads who decide to do this dumb shit in companies that ain't have shit to do with the situation to begin with don't realize that this kind of shit makes people hate them more than they would russia. As stupid as it sounds I guarantee you even if the average person doesn't say it the average person is going to unconsciously hate this support ukraine shit being shoved in their faces more than the russians for invading ukraine, especially if it's now getting put in your fucking browsers.View attachment 3069989
Here's a screenshot of the webpage I have taken a page of to further confirm Brave is going downhill in terms of the woke shit taking over the web browser along with Duck Duck Go from what I've been hearing about them very recently. Disappointing to see Brave also promoting NFTs too as of the course of a few weeks while using this browser in particular.

Is it literally impossible to hold a large organisation together without hiring HR wokescolds from the NPC factory? Did they monopolise the organisational skillset, like the Church monopolised literacy in the middle ages?thats why the CEO has to make sure that his HR guy is as based as humanly possible

That looks like a New Tab page ad that Brave will display if you have Rewards enabled, not something that Brave themselves put up. They've been running crypto-related ads for a long time, not really a surprise that they'd have NFT-related ads too. Not sure what to tell you other than to turn off Rewards if you don't want to see that sort of thing.View attachment 3069989

It's not uBlock Origin cucking out. It's the filter list maintainers that make the filter lists used by basically all adblockers out there. To know who's cucking out, check the logs and see which filter list is responsible for the blocking. If so, that's a major black mark on the part of uBlock Origin. If I want to look at some tin foil loon site, let me, I don't need another net nanny preventing me from harming my virgin eyes.
From what I understand, a dude named Larry controls a fairly large portion of the US economy. Guess what Larry became interested in a while back?Is it literally impossible to hold a large organisation together without hiring HR wokescolds from the NPC factory? The "Addon updates" can now be disabled with most of other Google based services, so if you want you can cut off Vivaldi from Google's servers. That site is ran by some FOSS spergs and should never be taken seriously by any normal person. They'll call the ability to opt-in sending of crash logs spyware, because muh data is leaving muh computor. Also, their little test was done on Vivaldi 1.15 and 2.0. Right now I'm using Vivaldi 5.1. It's been almost 4 years of changes in the browser since then.I swear the next fucking time I see this damn schizo website I'll really fucking lose it. Most programs take information from your computer to some extent, Steam does that for example.
The issue is how invasive it is and how extraneous the information taken is. Facebook, Microsoft and Google are all peak spyware in this department.
Vivaldi is nowhere near that bad and from the look of it, the information is so insignificant that no normal person would think twice if they understood what was presented to them.
- The GDPR was created because of Google's youtube.
- It got so bad with Facebook and its shadow profiles leak that the Zucc had to show up in court.
- Nothing interesting with Microsoft happened, but considering that Win 10 sends like 12 requests per second to Microsoft servers I think it's basically a keylogger.
The only close source shit I use is steam but I trust steam more than I trust microsoft unironically. That said I do use windows in a vm purely for college classes. More people should learn about virtual machines but they won't. Getting people to even look at the shit they install on their phones is a chore let alone using anything that ain't discord. At this point just let them self cannibalize themselves then when they complain about it tell em to shut the fuck up.The "Addon updates" can now be disabled with most of other Google based services, so if you want you can cut off Vivaldi from Google's servers. And really, if you're being so paranoid about so-called "spyware" in your software, I'm 99.9% sure you're still running it all on Windows, because you do not want to take actual effort in moving everything to Linux and using only self-compiled open source software, because actually cutting yourself out from big tech telemetry takes effort and leaving your comfort zone. So the fact that you're using an open-source browser means nothing if you use a closed-source OS.
VMs are great. I'm able to run old Euro car OBD2 diagnostics software with usb passthrough on a linux box working flawlessly instead of dealing with trying to find a native WinXP laptop. The only close source shit I use is steam but I trust steam more than I trust microsoft unironically. As someone suggested earlier, firefox with the right customizations is fantastic for privacy. You could do a text only browser but that makes you stick out. IF you go the firefox route I suggest you also setup temporary containers so sites can't cross with each other. I have mine setup to delete the containers if they aren't open, nothing permanent, so kiwifarms in one, other sites on the others, etc.It was inevitable. Any suggestions on what software to use next? I'm gonna try and ride this wave out till the end, but times are looking tough for Brave fans, namely Jersh.
