I can't wait until they just omit Russia from maps until the war ends. Maybe I should get ahead of the trend to make a profit and start selling ocean stickers to put on maps and an app to replace Russia with ocean if you open a digital map that happens to include it. If you're not going to acknowledge Russian mustards, music, or whatever, then just get to the point and pretend the land mass doesn't exist.

Also...I've had few drinks but didnt Null move to Ukraine like two years ago or something?
He lived there temporarily but left a while ago because of the war bullshit.

Nooooooo not my forum! I will start posting Ukrainian flags immediately to keep it on the interwebs. /reddit
There are no Aidans in foxholes. You want the world to see you as male, but then when they might see you as male and expect you to fight with the other men you cry oppression.
It's too bad that larping faggot didn't get caught by the Russians before he made it to the border.
Off-topic but I'm a say it: If I had to vote for a corporate sponsored puppet to be the face of "democracy" in the US I would vote for Tulsi. At least she is easier in the eyes, am I right fellas?

Dude, get a girlfriend. Tulsi is married. Don't vote for vaginas to run your world because they are 'attractive.' And she isn't. Hasn't been for a decade. Don't fence sit like a bitch and simp for moron blockhead women who go on Tucker Carlson. I should know, I have felt that urge. Fuck all that.
>implying Tulsi could hold a candle to the unrestrained milfy energy of kamomla harris
They both suck equally. One just posts videos of herself on a surfboard to instagram for upvotes. The other gives inane rambling speeches in front of the world stage that get us into World War III.

America has a very strong culture based around personal freedoms even if it's lost some of its edge. Even the worst bootlickers tend to want to keep their own freedoms. They wouldn't agree to something that, to some extent, hamstrings their own liberty.
I really don't see it going the way of China because Chinese citizens are the complete opposite. They have willingly given up their freedoms and placed everything in the government's hands for the sake of security. The government isn't just something formed for society to function, it's a patriarchal figure and going against it is seen as going against everyone else as well.
It's not a trade most people in the states are willing to make, if only because half the time the government isn't their favorite color.
Personal freedoms don't threaten state security. China allows people to do whatever sexually degenerate shit they personally want to do same as America does and pretty much every society ever has. The only real difference is that in America "personal freedom" extends to certain political expressions which don't directly threaten the state. China's government relies on the national CCP being viewed positively, so people attacking it and spreading anti-CCP messages are seen as a direct threat to state security, while individual American political institutions don't actually need mass approval. America regulates political messaging in media as stringently as China does, it's just that the people doing the regulation aren't in the formal state and so we all pretend that they don't have power. This gives the illusion that Americans have some sort of political freedom that Chinese people don't, but in reality it amounts to being allowed to sling insults at geriatric figureheads on Facebook.

Nobody "gives up their freedoms" to the government. That's ass-backwards thinking, whatever freedom you perceive yourself to have is a product of the limits of state power at present and areas of life which the state does not have an interest in controlling. America and China and Russia and every other powerful country literally shape the beliefs of their people through educational institutions and mass media. Every one of them points to everyone else and says "you're propagandizing your people, we are the only government which gives expression to the true will of the people". People need to stop buying into this shit. America's cultural mythology about itself is not a reflection of how power in America really functions. It's like taking China at its word that it is a Maoist proletarian state working towards a Real CommunistTM society.

Edit: just a little note, but the West's extra "freedoms" essentially amount to the state repressing organic communal violence against criminals/miscreants/deviants/racial others. It's literally the perfect example of expanding the state in order to guarantee individual security lol.

No, she's a dumb, vapid cunt who thinks that because she takes opposite positions and "stands for what she believes in", aka what she's told by her handlers or staff she's taking a stand or being honorable.
In other words, a bog standard "centrist" woman

When every major corporation and their paid media outlets tell you Russia's wrong, the more I get convinced Russia's right, or at least Ukraine's wrong.
I know right?

Russia is roght. Does not mean that what they are doing isn’t wrong and shouldn’t be punished. But by the same reasoning so should Ukraine. No side in this is good.

But you can’t even have that simple view anymore.

none of this is new, all of these were standard practice during cold war times, by both sides
No, not so much.

Cold War versions of this were like fighting with wiffle bats. We armed based freedom fighters in Asia and Africa, they armed cringe communists in those places. Even Afghanistan, which was roughly the Russian Vietnam, was never seen by the Kremlin as being of vital strategic importance to the continued existence of the USSR. They could tolerate eventually losing there. They don't see this fight in Ukraine in the same way, they think its importance is existential for Russia.

Economically, the West and the USSR didn't really compete at all. The latter was a closed system, though we did trade with them to some degree and Ford, Pepsi etc. did business in Russia. What we're saying now is different:

* This is a global economy
* We've just deplatformed you from the global economy and stolen all the assets you parked in the West :smug:

Cold War 2.0 is less stable and more dangerous because there's no detente, no mutual understanding of the other side having legitimate spheres of influence, and the economic order that allowed the USSR to just ignore Western banks, sanctions etc. no longer exists.

Also there was no mainstream voice in Western politics calling for us to bomb Russia. When Regan said it as a mic test, it was a punchline. Now there's a substantial number of influential people in the policy making class who are openly demanding a "no fly zone", which would lead to the same outcome. They're not joking, and it's possible they will get their wish.

Not even sure Russia will need it. The only sources saying Russia's collapsing economically or performing badly in military terms are from Ukraine or NATO.
Economic collapse doesn't happen immediately. Russia's economy is reliant on trade with Europe, and while it probably won't need aid it definitely needs to shore up trade relations with Asia if it's gonna survive economically. I'm sure that the west is spewing hyperbolized garbage, but the sanctions are not good for Russia.

So if China actually gives aid to Russia what do you think the actual chances will Biden put sanctions on them? my guess is 25%.
I'll say effectively zero. China will lie about giving them aid when it happens, and the Biden administration will say China is very honest and has not given aid, we can believe them like every other time. I mean really now, Best Korea has concentration camps and their excuse has been that they don't have that word in their language so how can they possibly have that which they don't have terms for? That was good enough for the UN and the world to just shrug and move on.

Personal freedoms don't threaten state security.

You certainly live up to your screenname. Time to buy that cabin you've been eyeing in Montana and start building those packages, boyo.

Actually though....decent post.

Not taking in consideration any possible falseflags by either side, a no-fly zone would be essentially an open war declaration from burgers/nato to russia. We're too early into this conflict but so far burger government and nato has denied the no-fly zone idea, hell, zelensky has been crying for one for a good while yet they keep telling him "no".
Is it possible that they're waiting until a bigger russian fuckup happens? yeah, probably, but so far in they've been negative about the no-fly zone deal.

while defaulting to believe the opposite of whatever globohomo says is slightly better than agreeing with everything globohomo says, it's still not a good way to form opinions on issues.

in this case russia is in the wrong, but in a somewhat understandable way, because essentially it has been driven into a corner and pushed to its boiling point over the past ~20 years by relentless western encroachment.
ukraine on the other hand is absolutely in the right to fight tooth and nail against the foreign invaders trying to subjugate it, but the decisions made by its politicians over the past 8 years contributed significantly to the escalation spiral that now resulted in war.
and finally, the part that gets omitted completely by the media in the west, is the involvement of western (mostly american but also EU) meddling in ukraines internal and external politics over the past decade, which in my opinion is the primary reason for ukraine-russia relations going down the shitter.

What a bitch that guy is for doing that. Noooo you cant just let the regional power collapse my politically untenable banana republic! You need to go to nuclear war for me! Fuck off Zelensky

Meh, I'll ride fences as long as what surround them is dumb or ludicrous. What is happening on Ukraine is no good but it isn't the hill I'll die on, nor are the dozen of other banal issues people concern themselves with in twitter, here, or wherever.

If I'm ambivalent and joke about who I vote for on hypothetical elections is because... it is a joke anyway! Two septuagenarians ran and people were fighting for them as if Moses and King David were going at it. Might as well vote for Tulsi who was and is the least visually repulsive looking of the bunch.

On a tread about a war ran by two men and their male backers, I find your comments very* misogynistic* good sir. 👩‍👩‍👧
