People said Poots was not stupid enough to actually invade Ukraine.

I think I saw Lindsay Graham or some other dumb US politician today was saying Poots wouldn't launch nukes even if NATO got involved.

Is the term WWIII limited to just a war with Nuke being tossed around?

Or if the "important" countries get in a war with each other and they hold off nuking each other, does that count?

People often associate World War III with a nuclear conflict precisely because it inevitably involves nuclear powers battling each other (there is a reason why there aren't many examples of direct confrontation between nuclear powers), and because World War II, as we all know, ended with the first recorded usage of nuclear weapons in history. World War II like escalations in conflicts, on this day and age, are bound to end in a nuclear exchange precisely because of the unpredictability of said occasions. Thus, the conclusion of a nuclear exchange being a direct consequence of a new World War isn't at all far fetched!

Smart phones are a plague on this war. The US knew the invasion was started a day before it kicked off because Google Maps saw the traffic jams building up on the main highways into Ukraine.

I hope western militaries are taking notes. Don't let the grunts take their phones to a combat theater. They can leave that shit at the barracks.
There are examples of this happening even before this war started. Fitbit data was used to pinpoint the locations of classified military bases some years ago, google made the news for "doxxing" an SAS facility with maps, social media is a powerful and necessary tool for information warfare but the collaterals are wildly unpredictable and can be very damaging. It takes a single retard taking a selfie to blow the cover of a whole squad, as you said!
Is there any actual evidence of a request for Chinese support by Russia, or is this just Western lies made to make Vlad look like Xi's bitch?

It's probably inevitable anyway, but I'm just asking.
Not that I am aware. Do note that while China is clearly on the side of Russia on this conflict, they aren't too invested in it precisely because the notion of breakaway provinces being recognized as independent states isn't acceptable to a country with claims to whole regions that could realistically desire to be independent from it, not to mention Hong Kong and Taiwan. They also own loads of farmland in Ukraine, and it's worth jack shit if your land is being occupied by some armed militias backed up by an ally of convenience!

I wonder what Russias ammunition reserves are looking like right now. I can't imagine they are at wartime production which means they have to be shooting from stock ammo. I doubt bullets are going to run out anytime soon. Artillery Shells and Rockets may be another matter here soon though.
My money is on aircraft mounted guided munitions being low, mainly because of that SU-34 that was shot down over Chernihiv carrying only unguided FAB-500s. Doesn't make much sense to equip a fairly modern aircraft with dumb munitions.

As for their missiles and rockets they're not a major issue now, but they can quickly turn into a much bigger issue, their shelf life doesn't extend to the Soviet Union days.

Given just how heavily the Russians have relied on their rocket artillery near the front and missiles to hit central and western strongpoints, if they start to run low on those munitions that's going to cause major issues.

Supposedly shot in utah.
Casual transport or something else?

That looks like it might be old. I don't see any hint of snow on the mountains at all (it's been snowing off and on in northern UT for the last week, plus none of the winter snow has had a chance to melt off the peaks) and the grass on the hills and roadside is in its bleached summer gold look.

One semi, two Hummers. Nothing of note. Equipment moves all the time from place to place, base to base. We regularly run exercises to test logistics capabilities. Also regularly send troops/equipment for opposing forces training.
Camp Williams is in Utah and across from the Utah Data Center.

The exit sign shows a 6. Could be from St. George or somewhere down south.

Imagine if...

Russian military went full big brain, have their best Ukrainian accent personnel to occupy a Russian tank which they paint Ukrainian Flags on the side to imply it was a tank taken by Ukrainians

then go to the Polish border and shoot dangerously near Polish border guards and AWAY from Ukrainian refugees whilst screaming out on megaphone "WE ARE RUSSIANS, COME ATTACK US, WE ATTACK YOU PUSSIES, SO COME AND GET US" with Ukrainian accent trying to comedically stereotypically imitate Russians.

in hopes to damage Polish relations with Ukraine by making it seem like a bunch of Ukrainians intentionally attack Polish border by faking themselves as Russians despite having all the paintings of Ukraine flag and the obvious Ukrainian accent.

would be funny.

I'd be more concerned about fuel, food, and reserves of general supplies. With mechanized armies fuel and ammo come first. Ammo of most types usually takes a long time to go bad in storage.

Fuel and trucks to haul it seem a much larger problem. We've heard the reports of Russian tanks running out of fuel. We also know Russian civilian trucks have been pressed into service. When you lose your mobility it's very hard to fight on a modern battlefield. Still believe there is some sort of problem in the Russian national fuel system, if they have told the two South Korean airlines they cannot refuel their planes if they come to Moscow.

Food seems to be a problem. Initial entry troops apparently had very outdated packaged operational rations. May have been food shortages after that. Soldiers all over will loot food stores, get a change from packaged rations. Guess field kitchens have been set up in some areas, but not sure. Not sure about supplies of clothing/shoes/medical supplies/barbed wire/cement/bridging equipment, and all the other things war requires. Must ask how much of the money intended to acquire and maintain these supplies ended up in someone's pocket.

Looks like the insane ramblings of a Russian agent trying to discourage people from #HelpingUkraine

And to think I almost got taken in by such obvious lies! Nice try Pootin' lover 🇷🇺💩

I was thinking it looked south of Provo, but it definitely doesn't look like Moab, and I've not gotten to see St. George yet so hesitated on guessing further. But I think you've got it. I ran the vid in slow mo and I think the exit is Exit 6, and is referencing Bluff Street, St. George.

EDIT -- If they're passing by St. George, they must be on their way somewhere outside UT, I don't know of any bases right in the area.

All of us have things about which we don't act or react rationally. Sometimes these things can be small, such as foods or clothes, sometimes kids. Suggest Putin isn't acting or reacting all that rationally about Ukraine. He wants that buffer state, and he wants to punish Ukraine for their sheer nerve in acting like a sovereign, independent state, and nothing else will do. Not the actions of a rational person; a weakness has been exposed. Our problem is Putin has a large nuclear arsenal. You like to think Putin wouldn't use nukes, but we also liked to think he wouldn't invade Ukraine. Russia simply cannot fight and win a conventional WWIII. So NATO stays behind the Polish border, providing support, and making sure this doesn't turn into a Third World War.
When i was reading your post and i reached this part i remembered a twitter thread that Boris Yeltsen's former Russian Federation foreign minister Andrei Kozyrev made about a week ago about why he thinks putin is a rational actor, i would like to know your thoughts on it, just curious.

The Russians only started using satellite-guided munitions in the 2010s. The US has been using them since the 90s, and obviously produces them at higher quantities than anyone else. Similarly, Russia predominantly uses unguided munitions in Syria, Libya, etc. Hence, Russia is going to have lower quantities than the US. Another issue Russia is facing is they are reserving their better forces/equipment in case they start fighting NATO. So, they have smaller stocks than the US, but its unclear what those stocks actually look like.

Tbh I agree with the Graham man

Putin is bluffing, he wouldn't risk his entire country's continued existence for fucking Ukraine. Tbh we should have been ready to call his bluff from the very beginning.

I see similar shit all the time, it doesn't mean anything. I have seen trains loaded with what looks like 50+ humvees and other military equipment and vehicles headed towards California when nothing major was happening.

Just moving shit around to bases that want it is my guess, maybe giving those two to the Utah National Guard

Even if Graham is right, I really don't want to fuck around and find out.
Our shared, continued existance is probably worth more than totally owning putler.

The only thing I will disagree on is that Biden is in fact not all there, that's not propaganda. That's basic observation.

Counter protestors will show up, a fight will break out & the district attorney will selectively prosecute whoever they don't like & release whoever they do like. And even when that happened, Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges for self defense.

I'm really tired of this "But whutabout Americuh" rhetoric, Putin has committed well known political assassinations which have yet to become a thing in the United States, that is unless you're willing to admit the Arkanacides were all real.
Get so used to being a contrarian, that they automatically go to the opposite side no matter how fucking insane it is. They then try to frame Putin as either reasonable, or just a little out there, but who could blame him because MURICA! It's also ego, a lot of Americans love to live in a world where everything, good or ill is their fault.
