"Imperialism" has become an absolute buzzword since the advent of at least the First Cold War (if not the First World War) and I'm sick to death of it.What I find nost interesting is that these Redditors are the first ones to cobdemn Chinese imperialism. Yet, they are quick to enact their own brand of imperialism by threatening/advocating for sanctions to force people into submission.
Sanctions aren't "imperialism", they're an exercise in economic "soft power". They work in that the global economy is highly interrelated and interconnected. All countries endeavor (and should endeavor) to influence their neighbors, allies, rivals, enemies, especially if they're "big" countries.
People are just mad that the United States of America still has impressive economic strength, and therefore has the largest amounts of "soft power".
I doubt that the USD is that tied to China.can't wait till China inevitably makes its play too, and everyone's like: "CANCEL THEM JUST LIKE WE DID RUSSIA!" and then they'll make the biggest surprised pikachu face when the USD crashes into oblivion for good, though even senile old Biden will probably get wrangled back from the abyss before that's allowed to happen.
If it was, I hope the Chinese yuan crashes just as meteorically as well, since the US is China's primary trading partner and all.
People think the "collapse of the American empire" or the "collapse of the US dollar" automatically means that China becomes the world hegemon or something.do they want that though, is the question? like yeah it would be a big blow to america, but a similarly big blow to china at the same time, and in the long term it would probably lead to america trying to reduce its foreign trade reliance and become more self-sufficient again, which in turn would mean chinas current leverage against america and trading profits would go away.
It doesn't, it just means that there will be significantly less restraint in how China and its neighbors treat each other. Maybe a (disasterous) war with Taiwan might come sooner in the wake of any "collapse" of the American "empire"/"dollar hegemony"/"foreign policy apparatus"/"big pp rule".
That "Soviet" flag looks shooped. I'm not buying it.Apparently I saw this on /pol/ recently, Russian tanks using the commie flag.

He apparently plans to bully China, India and Pakistan lol.
All three would carry nuclear warheads.
Can you link this text-wall? I'm quite interested in seeing it for myself. In the Covid thread someone sperg posted a wall of text about how China works. They were ethnically Chinese and had immigrated to the west. They wrote up a giant spectacle about how the Chinese are all brainwashed morons following despotic leaders, blah blah. But the one point that made the most sense is the Mandate Of Heaven shit. Basically it boiled down to if you as an adversary waxed China's leadership, it would be over in a heartbeat. I did a bunch of research and this appears to be true. The masses literally can't think for themselves. If they do, they get the fuck out of the country, they get imprisoned, or they just shut the fuck up permanently.
Finally, at least we'd start moving back towards self-sufficiency then.First we elect Biden to cut off our pipelines, then we sanction Russia to cut off foreign oil, then India to cut off our tech support, and finally China to cut off our ability to import manufactured goods. All the USA will be left with is niggers and Twitter.
Now that's quite clever of you.Great Britain said no, because fuck the Scots and Indians. France said no because "Fuck" the Algerians. Russia said No, because fuck capitalist pig dogs.
