Just in case there were any lingering reserves of Hopium, Calli basically confirmed on her Twitter that the Myth 3D debuts are paywalled behind the event.

Calli has said that she will have extra stuff she can show off immediately afterwards. The same might not be true for everyone as she's the only one that lives near the studio.

I'm a little disappointed because I still support Calli and wanted to see her get the same 'All eyes on you' event the Japanese get. No doubt it's a compromise they had to make due to COVID, but it still comes off as wrong note.

There was never any hope to begin with. Calli stated this the very moment it was announced. She and Kiara have both tried to spin this as "ooh it's not the debut it's just a performance!" but if it's the first time seeing something it's a fucking debut. At least be honest. I guess it's their version of copium because the two of them have hyped up a proper debut for a year now. For Calli it has to be more painful. She's in the country waiting. All of it just out of reach because she feels obliged to wait for the others when feasibly she could have been doing this for a while. Say what you want about her, that's loyalty.

I am not a Shellin viewer, and I was not a Hayama fan at the time of her first 3D appearance. Neither of them concern me personally, so I won't pretend to feel personally disappointed by them. Bringing them up is irrelevant to Calli's recent tweets today and my feelings on them. If Niji does the same with LazuLight I'll be expressing disappointment then too.

You can accept things as they are and also feel disappointed it materialised in such a way. I say it comes off as 'wrong note' because it does. It's the entire first Gen of Hololive's blockbuster EN branch.

I can't do anything for the people in this thread who always interpret my words as in bad faith. Maybe the true tribalfags were everyone else all along?

Gaming world depending on how you take it, since sweaty usually just means you're all in/aggressive which can be a good thing in some genres or it can mean you're a try hard, so up to you lol.

It's not, that's the joke.

Think of the audience (not us of course!) - sweaty weebs and gamers who probably don't have a lot of luck with women. All the "bad" stereotypes. So it isn't really a compliment, so much as an acknowledgement and acceptance by a female, something probably many are missing and crave. It's not full-on GFE, but at least validation that a girl out there is ok with them the way they are, and btw if you just give her some money I'm sure she'll notice you too!

I wish I had as high an opinion of Calli as some of you do. Part of the blame is the fanbase too.

Calli is great. Very committed, hard working, and despite the fact that her songs aren't really 'allowed' to go as hard as she can go on DD, she is a talented lyricist with an interesting poetic style and flexibility in her expression.

On top of that, I firmly believe that without Calli there would be no Enna, as I have little doubt that both of Shannon's covers of her songs making it into Calli's streams played a big role in her audition.

I don't watch her streams all that much anymore, but I also think you can respect someone you don't personally enjoy watching or watch that much. She's always advocated for creativity and for the Indie scene to work hard. She shouts out musicians and mixers all the time. She's had the most out-of-company collabs.

I definitely put her in the category of V-Tubers that had a significant impact on how the industry looks from top to bottom - especially for the EN territory.
