I am only a little ways into this, but begging the 5:45 mark Vikki and Spectre start yelling at each other over the the tweet Dean made on the D&V Investigations twitter account that was supportive of @TheCosmicWarrior. Vikki disagrees with the tweet Dean made, says it wasn't cleared through her, and argues JDA wasn't cancelled. Which is kinda what I suspected.

- Can not afford an attorney.
- She tried going through "legal clinics" but "they can not help [her] or will not help [her]."
- Is a "full time volunteer" and can not find employment in her area.
- The jobs that she had give her no hours.
- She has absolutely no income right now.

This seems to suggest she lied on Kiwifarms and Twitter when she said she had an attorney.

If that is her situation, her strategy looks somewhat more rational. If she is broke, unemployed and cannot afford anything at all, defaulting on the case and moving the process into collections might be for the best. At this point, she seems effectively judgement proof.

Yes. It's think always been assumed that Preston would have difficulty getting any money from either of them. Especially at the ludicrous amounts he's asking for.

Although, if that was her situation all along, I would argue that maybe she should have considered surrendering to Preston's initial demands in taking down the videos and retracting her statements.

I know... I KNOW... nobody here wants to hear that. I get that. But if you can't offer any meaningful resistance, you're just gonna needlessly take casualties. Few people shit on Belgium for surrendering to Germany as the blitzkrieg was on their way to France. It's France that gets painted as the surrender monkeys.

I guess different people would handle this differently. She apparently chose to be defiant despite not being able to put up much resistance.

Well. She did manage to cause Preston a huge financial loss at no cost and no risk to herself. Maybe that was worth it to her.
This is a situation where whatever Belgium does, the Germans cannot occupy it, defeat it or go through it to France. All they can do is hold a parade in Berlin to celebrate a very hollow sort of victory.

thanks for you're advice.. but I wasn't mad at the internet. I was airing a grievance regarding one PoS, it's done. I've asked people I'm working with to not tweet at him as well.

He's likely referring to the fact that @Yuusha-sama, Smug Pug, and @Yusuke were brought into the Discord that was compiling the Spectre thread, and then shortly thereafter the logs leak and all hell broke lose. So it's not completely out of left field. Some people have told me that the "log scraping" methodology employed was similar to what Yuusha employed with Gothic Sushi's server. I don't know if that actually means a damn thing though. That could be like saying "person x used archive.md."

they probably built a bot that accesses the cache and files in a particular way. theres a million ways to do it so if you find two similar cases in a small circle odds are its related. It's worth noting to anyone on discord if you have hidden channals to save connent someone with a beefier bot can still get shit in there or even delete it. the martina thing seems pretty off for a normal case and the dude is a walking cow time bomb so im sure theres content in there.

If she gets income, he can try and extract some of it from her. He can also basically destroy her credit rating. Make no mistake, collections are gonna be a nearly pointless for him if she has nothing, but not terribly pleasant for her if she ever does.

The thing is, I have always maintained that this wasn't about the money for Preston. At least with those two. It was about silencing them, along with him having an infatuation with Vikki, and being angry at Dean for "stealing" his "queen." He's basically a sociopath.

If all he wanted was MONEY, his best bet was FROG. He was the primary target with the whole "Comicsgate approved" lolicon bullshit. And we all know how that turned out.
