I think he missed the fact that the AVGN is a character James plays though. When Phil did it it just came across like a genuine asshole.

Phil is an asshole and he's genuine about it. Well, he still is, under the guise that he's a "PAWsitive person." PigPigGo can pull up instance after instance of Phil being himself and not the "toxic piece of shit." he used to be. Besides the THIYDP of Sleeping Dogs, but the infamous Jack in the Box video of where he had friends in John and Howard, how the Sikh guy walked in with his "turban full of bombs." and how Dave just LOST it! What's weird is that laugh is GENINUE! Not the typical "Ack ack ack!". It felt weird hearing Phil actually having a real genuine laugh. In typical Phil fashion, he can't read a room. If he knew how, he would immediately see that Howard looked uncomfortable and wanted to get the hell out of dodge, while John tried to change the subject as fast as humanly possible, because even he knew that was fucked up. I digress.

Another thing to remember is that James has grown, Phil has not. Yeah, there's info about James and his fallout with Mike, but that's a WHOLE different rabbit hole in itself. Phil still CONTINUES to try to "game the algorithm." by releasing crap after crap with ZERO quality control. He (DSP) still thinks the the YouTube of now operates like the YouTube of 2010: pump out crap, get money. Mama Susan wants edited and high quality stuff, not the shit that was pumped onto the site back in 2009. If it's long, put time stamps in the description of the videos. Nope! Too much work! Just edit the parts out that DSP doesn't want rebroadcast on his OWN channel, and pump it out like a conveyor belt of bullshit. Timestamps? DSP "works" six days a week and spends one day with his wife! How he is supposed to find the time to put in MORE work? Idiots! God, people are are so fucking stupid.

Yeah, worth rehashing that, unless that tab is completely empty, Phil has never once thanked any of his mods for gift cards, nor did he acknowledge any gift cards or credits associated with them. He barely mentions credits in general unless the person who says they sent them mentions it in chat themselves, and I've never seen a mod do that.

So that would strongly suggest that Phil is getting a whole bunch of stuff from his mods that he's then hiding from his audience while he begs. Or that it has been his mods 'anonymously' 'gifting' him things like his chair and XBox.
Once again, they're both getting scammed and assisting with the scam. Deposit your tithes into the safe and then keep your eyes fixed ahead while dear leader says he is broke...

Doubly so when you consider that they clearly read here or follow people that talk about things posted here, several past mods have had/have accounts here, and Phil is telling them that nothing has 'merit' despite the fact that they don't like OiC and know that he did post here and do the interview. 'Merit' is also a great weasel word to use there because it allows him to avoid outright calling everything a lie when he can offer no proof to the contrary, but still vaguely discredits it.

And yet when faced with this cult-speak, they don't offer any dissent... and just keep supporting Phil while being fully aware that he's lying to them. I don't know what, outside of cults, abusive relationships, or authoritarian regimes accommodates this kind of bizarre social and economic dynamic.

I also enjoy Swagginz saying that he's never faced any problems from the trolls. First of all, he had meltdowns when we called him 'princess'. But the trolls don't need to abuse him - he was already publicly harassed and humiliated by Phil. He's now cucked to the point that nobody is interested. And that's probably worse.

Ansheng also posted supr's video in the server 20 minutes after it went live, so he didn't even watch it in full. Ansheng has also transferred the ownership of the server over to Phil. Phil then had to re invite him back to the server. You can't make this shit up.
