Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

@The Gangster Computer What's 3PO's story and what's the retcon?
It was a short story about him going on a mission with other droids and one of them gave its life for 3PO and the others, so 3PO adopted its red arm in memory of it, but it was quickly retconned and forgotten about it soon after and has never been referenced again, with the red arm just being a "source of myths" or some crap.

I will never understand those Disney shill retards who insist that Disney's EU is more coherent and consistent than the old one.

I have an idea, how about no inquisitors, rather than worry about how stupid they look or who plays them, they shouldnt even be in the story.

The biggest issue with this whole "series" is that there is far too much going on and far, far too much imperial presence on Tatooine. Realistically, there should just be some low level officer or bureaucrat snooping around. Having full fledged force sensitive "inquisitors" is not believable as the whole point is keeping Luke a secret for 20 years.
A lot of people say how inqusitors add weight to Owens and Bens relationship:

There is no need for that Kenobi is from a crazy cult that kidnap's children and turns them in to cultists. Thats now illegal cause they tried to overthrow the government.
I have always disliked the inquistors cause they make so little sense. Most of the younger generation in the empire era believe the force to just be magic mumbojumbo yet you got these maniacs running around the galaxy hunting for people.
Imagine forcing yourself to waste 11 life dollars a session on watching shows you have to justify to yourself about watching because of spurious crackhead reasons. How embarrassing.
I skipped Mando and Boba but im gonna coooonsoooom Kenobi if only for Mcgregor as Obi-wan.
A whole sequence with the 501st, Anakin and Obi-Wan finding out how great of a friend Ahsoka is.
OOOOO MEMBER CLONE WARS?! MEMBER REBELS?

I think this may be the first character I initially hated, grew to like, and now hate again. Bravo, Filoni, bravo
Saw it coming. I'm glad that the CGI clone wars series was successful to a point, but I personally don't like it due to I had to pay $5 for a pilot movie.
Shaak Ti in the 2003 series was cuter.

Speaking of the Prequels, I've been on a research binge and I'm fascinated how the Prequels have held up even under scrutiny.
Like in the first movie the Gunguns help against the Droid forces and later in ROTJ the Ewoks help against the Stormtroopers. Ironically, if the plan was played straight, on a technicality, Sidious would have won against the Rebellion. Han, Leia and their forces would have been captured.
Kenedy and other idiots complaining that "the force is female/for everyone not just the Jedi", Lucas already did that better with the Midiclorians and that EVERY LIVING BEING has it.
The entity of Palpatine's plan in the Prequels is genius.

I just remembered Anthony Daniels saying he hated the red arm and by the end of TFA his arm is golden again.

What was the point? Did JJ seriously try to turn 3PO's arm into a mystery box? By the way, minor nitpick but 3PO looked like trash in that movie. That matte finish was junk and made the costume look cheap as hell.

Midiclorians and that EVERY LIVING BEING has it.
nooo the force has to be mysterious like it was in my childhood
midichlorians bad
exploring the force bad
prequels bad

Morrison didn't suck as Jango.
yeah. He did. A lot.
Looking back now, I think Morrison's performances as Jango Fett in the "Bounty Hunter" video game, Delta-38 in "Republic Commando," and his narration of the 2005 Battlefront II campaign are what really stick out for me in terms of his good Star Wars performances. Even as someone who likes the prequels, I have to admit that Morrison really didn't have much to work with in the script to really showcase his acting capabilities. Star Wars, even at its best, won't really bring out a "Once Were Warriors" performance out of Morrison, but I'd say that he did really good in those three pieces of media. If nothing else, I'm just glad to see that he's still getting paid for this stuff.

Absolutely! The Tartakovsky style really was a perfect match for the alien characters in the Prequels.

Temuera Morrison brought a lot to Jango in AOTC. That's probably why I don't have a problem with Boba suddenly being retconned into a Maori guy from New Zealand. He's one of the few things about that movie that doesn't completely suck. Again, an actor can only do so much for a bad script and bad direction *insert list of PT and ST actors here*.

I guess I'm glad they're still getting work as actors in general, but not too much because I'm not getting paid to watch Disney's shitty content. I'd gladly shill like all these faggots online if I was getting paid for it.

The fact that we didn't get a Genndy Wars artbook is criminal.
It's funny that the design work in Genndy Wars was so good that Filoni basically copied it for the first few seasons in Filoni Wars. It didn't work as well in 3D.

the character portrayal will be fine
What character portrayal? Ewan barely being in his own show while needing to be saved by another Rey-like self-insert and Ahsoka while also being hounded by braided imperial brats that steal the spotlight? I get people are hungry for OT/PT nostalgia but there are better ways to get one's dopamine fix. And if you want to see Ewan doing good performances in better movies, there's no shortage of them.
yeah. He did. A lot.
And Kenobi will suck. A lot.

A celebrity actor playing a nostalgic character doesn't automatically mean a show will be good. Its like people who were squealing over how Book of Bob was going to be good just because it starred Morrison. Or like when you see users on facebook cream their pants because a lame sitcom has a very special queer or MCU guest star, or because Rogue Juan had Jones return as Vader,

If I remember right, it was because of some gay toy marketing deal. They believed people wouldn't want 3PO toys unless they looked "new" somehow and because Bad Robot thought they could capitalize on this too by claiming red arm 3PO is their idea, or at least that's what they wanted but it didn't work out.

@gangster computer god
You got got quote bugged, but Small counter point: The PT damaged Vader for myself and a lot of other people, turning him from a laconic threatening hard ass in to a whiny teen.
This is no where near the complete and total cucking and invalidating of 6 well-loved films and all of their character we got in the ST, but being fair and balanced and all that.

I just remembered Anthony Daniels saying he hated the red arm and by the end of TFA his arm is golden again.

The point was that red arm C3PO was "ORIGINAL DISNEY SCULPT" probably to try to excise all Lucas influence.

the worst part about wolffag's ashoka wank is that togruta were probably my favorite race, which now is synonymous with his fucking jailbait waifu (similar to how every wookie is chewbacca, but much worse due to the cancerous CW fanbase and her being female). what this means it will literally never change, even if disney would pull a 180 tomorrow, same as jake skywalker and wasting all the old actors.

Not to mention his voice sounded like he was getting taken up the ass while someone yanks on his figmentive brass balls pulled. I know the age argument but his voice quivered less in the older films.

Fisher's voice had that 'grandma' quaver to it. I didn't listen to a lot of C3PO, but you could tell it was a little thinner. The only one two who sounded passible were Ford and Hamil. (Maybe Williams? Never listened to nuLando)

I'll say it again, 2010 was about the shoot-by date for a Star Wars movie with the original cast.
