E Beggars on Twitter / Social Media E Beggar General - "Pay for FUCKING EVERYTHING"

Saw this e-beggar retweeted by Shadow trying to raise nearly $300 for their overdue internet/home phone/TV bill. Now although alternatives exist, I can kind of see people claiming internet is a necessity for finding/applying to jobs and such. *Maaaybe* home phone if you live in a super rural area. But TV? lol fuck off

This is madness, there are programs in place (not sure if emergency broadband services are expired yet) so anyone who has a Medicaid card or food stamps can get a reduced bill on basic internet.

But of course that doesn’t include 10 streaming services, live TV, and a home phone. By home phone I assume they mean cell phone? Didn’t think people still had house lines nowadays.

I believe the EBB programs are still active as of January or February. And yeah apparently something like 35% of households still have landlines but I would assume it's mainly old people and/or those in rural areas with shitty cell reception.

When will people stop getting animals they can't afford?

Guilting people by saying they haven't eaten in 72 hours and desperately NEED $250 for food. I know the cost of groceries has gone up but goddamn no you don't. Sorry but I don't believe anyone in America who goes on about how starving they are, they haven't eaten in DAYS when if it was really an emergency there are multiple options including food banks, soup kitchens, Meals on Wheels, etc. But they really just want Doordash of course. Every single one of them is "disabled" and just can't possibly make it out of the house.

TV is not a necessity. An antenna works great for local channels and Netflix or another streaming service - one of them, not all of them - will give you more than enough content to fill your free time with. If you like new releases, Netflix still does dvds. (I don't really know how people who don't have Netflix DVD watch new releases or older movies these days, lol [genX] boomer right here)

Internet is definitely something that most people need. I've seen people trying to claim that internet access is a basic human right these days, and TBH I can see their point. Lots of jobs are work from home, almost all jobs are apply online, schools have tons of online requirements - some kids were having really tough times last year when everything was virtual. Like it or not a lot of our life as a society has moved online. How many times have you tried to do something when the internet is out only to be caught short by the realization that what you were going to do required internet access? Even ebooks need internet to download. It's really shocking, especially when I can remember the internet becoming mainstream.

But phones and TV are non-essential items. And even though I can understand why people think that internet could be a human right, it isn't to that point yet. And even if it was, you still have to pay for things that are human rights: water, menstrual products, basic food, housing... If you can't afford it, you can't afford it. Stop begging.

I assume most of you have already heard of the trans debacle going on in Texas right now. Of course, denying a child to surgically and hormonally mutilate their developing bodies is literally violence, and so e beggars have come out of the woodwork to beg for money to escape the evil fascist state that is Texas.

The part that is absolutely killing me is that it is fucking Texas. TEXAS. Not Palestine. Not Ukraine. T E X A S.

God help those children. That's all I'm going to say on the matter.

You don't have to use internet at home. Places are opening back up and have been for over a year. Buy a coffee or soda and do shit at Starbucks or McDonalds. The library is also an option. More urban areas have proper internet cafes. If you don't need to do a lot of word processing or something else that requires the capabilities or power of an actual computer, a phone is more than enough for most needs.

No one needs TV, though. That is 100% a privilege. I use one of those "antennas" for local news and trashy daytime talk shows and pay for one (technically two, because Amazon Prime) streaming service that I actually use. If I want to go to another one, I bum off the password from a family member that has that service.

I can also confirm that even now that $250 is a lot of food if you don't buy a fuckload of expensive cuts of meat.

Enough sperging. Remember Gargoyle Slave? The sex offender advocate that whined that she had to eat canned food straight out of the can? Shadow retweeted her

TIL I'm close to being an LGBT elder. (Gargoyle Slave is in her 40s). Maybe that was the case in the AIDS epidemic, but now? Oh wait, she's a tranny. Nevermind, checks out.

I'd say get a real job, but I wonder if she's on some sort of list. That, or she's worried about being stigmatized because of her prison partner.

"Do you care if black and brown people are even barley surviving?!"

Nope!

Wow shadow is really shameless. I bet even if she miscarried she will continue to milk the “pregnancy” as long as she can. She could get on WIC immediately as it’s usually for pregnant women nursing mothers and kids under 5. But why fill out a couple papers when you could just tweet instead 🤷🏼‍♀️
WIC is usually a same day appointment and involves some gross waiting but they will set people up with what they need for kids.
They’ll even set pregnant women up with a breast pump and a free breast feeding class.

A client can walk out of a WIC office with a loaded WIC card that day.

It’s a great resource but it does involve minimal effort, so of course not enough people utilize it.

I will say that most of the people with WIC (at least that come through my line) also tend to be non English speakers. So a lot of them are getting on the program with the help of someone.

I absolutely wouldn't put it past Shadow to miscarry and when she's at "nine months" state that she needs money to pay for her stillborn's burial/cremation (while requesting an amount that is consistent with an Indian casino stay).

Shadow also changed her icon:

You're missing Chino's face tats in that pic.

Clients need to prove financial need to qualify for WIC.

With how much money she has grifted and how much has gone through her accounts for alcohol and for chino to waste on gambling, it is unlikely that she qualifies for WIC.

Think that's the sex offender?
if your smart you can build a wifi extender to pick up free wifi from the comfort of your own home. when I was a teen and real poor fag I built one to pick up mcdonalds wifi that was a quater of a mile from house, it was kind of shitty in terms of connection rate but I got free wifi with out having to move my butt from my couch. all it cost me was 20, some tinfoil and glue and enough for a powerful wifi modem, if I am ever in a time of need for free wifi again I know exactly what to do.

It's not super likely that those accounts are tied to actual banks though. Unless I just don't understand how Venmo and CashApp work (which is likely, I don't have accounts). PayPal doesn’t require a bank anymore, you can get a PayPal debit card and draw straight from your balance.

I highly doubt that wic is asking people to show internet "banks" like those as proof of income. Not yet anyway, it's a government program and the government tends to be pretty slow on the uptake on things. Granted they probably say something like "all sources of income" intending that people include CashApp/Venmo/PayPal, and the honest ones will, but a grifter like Shadow? How likely do you think that she's even paying taxes, which she's also required to do on all this money? People lie, and there's no way for the government to track this down - yet.

I understand that these companies are now required to report to the irs if you get more than $600 a year or maybe it's more than $600 in one donation, which will help with that - though there are loopholes I've heard, but until now it's been the wild west out on the internet wrt these money sites.

"Buy me a graduation package!"

I didn't buy a degree frame (I uh, actually don't even know where my paper degree even ended up since moving), but I remember doing a payment plan for my high school and college rings. I got them as soon as I paid them in full. Dunno if that's the case with this package, but come on.

Having the right antenna or wifi booster is a great low-cost way to pick up open wifi signals. The only other caveat besides shitty connection rates is that they're insecure and require good opsec/infosec if one plans to use the connection for sensitive stuff such as online shopping or banking.

A phone is a necessity. (....)

That being said, having the latest iPhone is NOT a necessity.
Internet may not be a human right per se, but it's definitely necessary with more basic stuff being moved exclusively online - especially as more companies put their job application process online.

In the US, Universal Services Fees that are collected at both the Federal and State levels are supposed to help with gving low-income people telephone and internet access (part of which, IIRC, involves the financing of library internet connections and the so-called "Obama phones"). whether or not that's been effective in practice is debatable, unfortunately.

though there are loopholes I've heard, but until now it's been the wild west out on the internet wrt these money sites.
Virtual currency, online payments/purchases, and the taxation regarding these have definitely been the online version of the wild west. The IRS and the courts (in the matter of collecting sales tax on online purchases) have started to clamp down on these areas because of the aforementioned loopholes and lack of clear and consistent guidance that existed until recently. It will be interesting to see how much of a siginficant impact this has on e-beggars who have been using the online platforms that agreed to start issuing 1099 Forms for annual grand total amounts that exceed $600.

In my country, if you're paying less than $100 a month for your phone you probably don't have data or even unlimited texting.

Americans don't get how cheap their internet, mobile and TV is

That sounds like an American thing. We don't even get rings here (though there was a pop up store at my grad ceremony, but it was mostly filled with proud parents buying useless junk for themselves)

My degrees were given in a file folder type deal, so you can prop it open on your bookshelf or whatever the fuck.

In any case, shits not necessary. No one needs donations to frame a shitty diploma they'll proh never use. And if they do end up using it and getting a good job, they can frame it then with their first real paycheck

Almost everything in America seems to be cheaper. This thread just makes me angry at Americans, but I realize it's kind of unfounded. You guys are cool, don't come to Minecraft tomorrow.
