Well it's midnight in Kiev and apparently the Russians aren't very good at fighting at night so don't expect much.

Yeltsin stayed in power precisely because the oligarchs and US carried him through the 93 Crisis and second election. Everyone in Russia would have wanted him gone and Putin played the game right to succeed him. The US even acknowledged Putin in private talks as a good replacement for Yeltsin. The 93 crisis was decades ago, the US could easily color revolution Russia and get a new Yeltsin in power if the situation at home gets too out of hand for Putin.

Am I the only one who feels the reason the U.S. media has gone into overdrive to turn Russia into the new Nazis is because they feel it is the only way to redeem themselves from their own Russiagate and to kind of put Trump and everyone who voted against Biden into the same camp?

It's always been there and this new demonization of Russians isn't to make up for the Trump bullshit, but yeah they will be using this and that from here on out. Expect a lot more evil Russians in media as well.
