See, Jokowi (that's what people called him) is not a part of what you would The Elits or "Nobility". His background was just a normal wooden furnitures dealer, no joke. But then he became the Mayor of Surakarta, and proved he's quite savvy in politics. His rise to power is linked by portraying himself as an "outsider" to politic, and as somewhat more "liberal" than the others.

His meteoric rise from being a Mayor of Surakarta, to Governor of Jakarta, to finally being two-terms President is attributed by many to the political machinations of the party he belongs to, PDIP. Its the party founded and led by Megawati, a former President and daughter of the Founding Father and First President. So some people have accused him as nothing but a puppet. But people don't care, at first since we finally have someone as a President who is not "linked" to either Soekarno, Soeharto, or the religious group

So after the honeymoon phase, people begun to realize that he's just another corrupt politician. But they still continue to elect him because the alternative is a candidate that allied himself with the radical islamist (there's another funny part to this, but its quite long), so he was picked again as a lesser of two evils. Oh, and I don't think he's a puppet no longer, from what I'm seeing, he's trying to build a "dynasty" for himself and his family, particularly his two sons.

To summarize his presidency, Jokowi is very Pro-Business (especially foreign ones), slightly "Liberal" (read: Neo-Lib) Populist, slightly hard Nationalist, and anti-Radical Islamist (imagine this group as QAnon but Halal amd even more weird). His presidency also led to the increased power and wealth (and corruption) of both the National Police and the Military (balancing both), and Indonesia being closer to China (though the government still try to appease the West as well). Oh, and he also supported the Tech sector, but its kinda weird and quite long, I'll explain it someday

they also weren't FOSS so I don't expect there to be forks of the project any time soon. It's a shame because it has features others don't. Alternatives are:

• NewPipe + Sponsorblock: It takes a bit of getting used to and you can't sign in to an existing account (so can't transfer playlist easily or chat), but it's good if you want to remain private
• Installing a second browser that supports extensions (I recommend Kiwi or Brave), adding ublock, and using that as your youtube app

I'm no Scuttle, but Rosemi did say something the other day, about how she views the two platforms differently. Just from memory but it was something like, Youtube is more suitable for scheduled, watch-start-to-finish kind of content, and Twitch is suitable for spontaneous, drop-in-drop-out kind of content.

Unrelated to that question but i watched that Nux video and in it he claims to be followed by Kson (knew that already) NotRushia (shown on screen) and DDK (didn't show and i haven't checked) referring to the them as *insert holo name's* alt he says that the holo accounts don't but the alts do and he wonders if that if cover advises the holo accounts not to

Because he seems to know or actually a collab with other twats in the anime-adjacent content creator scene so having access to Nux means eventually having access to all the other people he orbits around.
